For sale is a 2000 Jaguar XJ8 L with just 75 thousand miles! This car is ready for the road, with absolutely no known issues. IT CLEARLY WAS IN A GARAGE AND TAKEN CARE OF FOR 15 YEARS! The Exterior: The silver paint is in superb condition. One must inspect very closely to find imperfections in the paint. There is a very nice, narrow, blue pin stripe down the side of the vehicle. The tires ALL MATCH and easily have more than 75% tread remaining. Breaks/Shocks feel solid and have no reason or need to be replaced. Even the radio antenna extends and retracts as it should. The Interior: First of all, is ROOMY! If you've never seen the back seat of the "L" models, you know how much room there is. The Gray Leather is in excellent shape. There are absolutely no rips, tears, or other major blemishes in the leather. All power options (windows, locks, seats, mirrors) work as they should. Vehicle has the CD changer in the trunk. A/C is ice, ice cold. How it Drives: As you would expect from the previous descriptions, it drives unbelievably. Drives straight down the road with no hands. (Doesn't pull one way or the other) Engine (4.0L V8) and transmission (automatic) are silky smooth. No shaking when brakes are applied. No check engine lights! Motor Trend pits Aston V12 Vantage S against Jaguar XKR-S GT in battle of the Brits
Fri, 20 Dec 2013With the recent increase in higher-performance versions of already high-performance vehicles, like Mercedes-Benz and its AMG Black Series, the public is now gaining even greater access to speed and maneuverability. Two of the most recent sports cars to get their wicks turned up include the Jaguar XKR-S GT and the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S.
Both of these cars are the pinnacles of their lines, with the Jag lording over the XKR-S, XKR and XK while the Aston rules over the standard V8 Vantage S and V8 Vantage. Motor Trend has opted to pit the two rivals together for some thorough testing, and it just happened to bring along a few video cameras to capture all the action.

Jaguar and Land Rover now offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Tue, Oct 23 2018The 2019 Jaguar I-Pace will come standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, and the connectivity feature comes as a roughly $300 option on select and appropriately equipped 2019 Jaguar and Land Rover models, the joint automaker said. It comes via Jaguar Land Rover's Smartphone Pack, which is available on all 2019 and future models, but with conditions. The car in question must have the 10-inch InControl Touch Pro touchscreen or split-touchscreen Touch Pro Duo infotainment systems, plus navigation, InControl Apps and Wi-Fi connectivity. Those are included on some upper trim levels and available as separate options on others. So basically, depending on trim level, you could be looking at a simple $300 add or a long-line of other extra charges just to get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There are other new features coming for the InControl Touch Pro system as well, including voice command for navigation, major graphic refreshes for certain screens, new shortcut buttons on the home screen for key navigation, media and phone functions, and changes to the user experience in the media screen. Jaguar and Land Rover first introduced the InControl Touch Pro for 2016, enabling users to learn whether they have enough fuel or battery range to get to a searched-for destination and share their destination, current location and ETA with others via email or text message when using the on-board nav system. The Touch Pro Duo first debuted on the 2018 Range Rover Velar and will be standard on the 2019 I-Pace electric crossover, plus the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. It features interlinked dual upper and lower touchscreens. In terms of the trim level availability mentioned earlier, a JLR spokesperson tells us that Smartphone Pack is available on all 2019 Jaguar F-Pace trim levels. It is available separately starting with the F-Pace Prestige trim level, but on the base F-Pace and Premium versions, you have to also get the optional Connect Pro Pack, Navigation Pro Pack, and traffic sign recognition and adaptive speed-limiter pack. Jaguar Land Rover creates new Special Operations division for halo vehicles, bespoke commissions
Fri, 13 Jun 2014Jaguar Land Rover has announced that a new division of the British manufacturer will be dedicated to "bespoke commissions," as well as heritage products and apparel. Oh, and the new Special Operations division will also be behind JLR's halo cars from now on.
It's that last one that is the most tantalizing, as the last real halo product to see production from Jaguar was the XJ220. The Range Rover, meanwhile, has always had its own kind of halo reputation, although the Land Rover brand itself has never really gotten into the game with a dedicated model.
According to JLR, the new halo models will focus on ultra-high performance and luxury with a limited run of vehicles. The bespoke models, meanwhile, will give the wealthiest customers full sway over how vehicles are outfitted, with unique paints, trims and other accessories. The new SpecOps division will be run by John Edwards.
