1988 Jaguar Vanden Plas. 65k miles, all the Vanden Plas options. $44,800 new price in 1988. Nada book low end retail is $5700, high end retail is $9400. I am a furniture dealer & bought the car at an estate sale to resell. The car was driven low on transmission fluid for some time, and the original transmission was slipping. I had a rebuilt transmission professionally installed along with a new right rear strut, and new brake pads. (Have receipts). The right rear door will not open from the outside, & the window will not go up or down. The dash indicator shows a circuit 1 failure & states low brake pad, low brake fluid, and bulb light out, even though they were all replaced. Circuit 1 is the brake system circuit and I was told that there was more than likely a sensor within that system that is faulty and that the mechanics of the vehicle are not affected by what the circuit indicates. I have driven the car approximately 500 miles since the repairs, & it rides and drives fine. The mechanics of the vehicle seem not affected by what the dash indicator shows. After the described necessary repairs, I have $3200 in the car & just couldn't put more money into it to fix the small issues. (May not get my money out of it as it is). Car is automatic, leather heated seats, cold a/c, new tires less than 2,000 miles on them, original paint in average condition for its age, hood is fading. Interior has no rips or cuts in the leather & no cracks in the dash. Title is clean, clear, & in my name. Clean vehicle history report. NO RESERVE PRICE! This vehicle will sell to the highest bidder. $500 non refundable paypal deposit due within 24hrs after the auction ends. Balance due in cash, & pick up of vehicle within 7 days after auction or car will be relisted. If you have abnormal negative feedback, please do not bid, it will be cancelled. If you have fewer than 100 buy/sell transactions on ebay, please contact me before bidding, or it will be cancelled. IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO PAY FOR THIS AUCTION, PLEASE DO NOT BID AT ALL!!!! I WILL LEAVE YOU NEGATIVE FEEDBACK!

Jaguar Land Rover opening its first U.S.-based classic center in Georgia
Sun, Aug 19 2018Jaguar Land Rover Classic currently operates two of its Works Centres, one in Coventry, England and the other in Essen-Kettwig, Germany (pictured). Just in time for Pebble Beach, the English carmaker has announced that it will bring its first facility to the United States next year, having signed a deal to open the latest Works operation in Savannah, Georgia. To be located in the Crossroads Business Park near Gulfstream Aerospace, the facility will engage in the sales, service, and restoration of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles out of production for at least ten years. The 150,000-square-foot Coventry site opened two years ago and is said to be the largest dedicated factory workshop of its kind (the largest unaffiliated shop is in the Philippines). Jaguar builds its continuation cars there, like the D-Type and XKSS, while Land Rover uses it to build the Defender Works V8. Shoppers can also buy vintage models off the showroom floor, a variation of the Certified Pre-Owned program called Works Legends, that come with a 12-month warranty. Or, Jaguar Land Rover will locate, restore, and maintain one of the classic company products that a buyer chooses. In the UK, a Land Rover Series 1 starts at around $90,000, a Jaguar E-Type starts at around $400,000. The 48,000 Essen-Kettwig center opened last year with the same brief, and the U.S. center can provide those services to the world's largest classic car market. Construction on the 75,000-square-foot complex is scheduled to begin next August, and the facility will include a 42-bay workshop and showroom. The automaker will invest from $10 to $15 million, and predicts more than $45 million in revenue. Savannah Economic Development Authority President and CEO Trip Tollison told The Savannah Morning News that JLR will hire 75 workers at a starting salary of $80,000. Jaguar XJ facelift suggests that if it ain't broke...
Tue, Dec 16 2014Jaguar is preparing what looks to be a very modest upgrade for its long-serving XJ, now heading into its fifth year in production. The fullsize luxury sedan's changes are so limited it seems like a stretch to even refer to these changes as a proper update. New front and rear lights represent the big changes, although the XJ's front grille looks to get a tiny bit of tweaking. Beyond that, though, we can't see too much changing for Jag's flagship luxury car. That said, there could be some tweaks below the sheetmetal and within the cabin that these images don't really show. Take a look at our gallery of spy photos, at the top of the page, and let us know what you think Jag is up to with this particular XJ.
2016 Jaguar XF Review
Thu, Feb 4 2016We last drove the new Jaguar XF in Spain last September, sampling it in 380-horsepower S spec and in 2.0-liter turbodiesel forms. We found both versions to provide a supple ride, despite some body roll, and loved the supercharged model's ample thrust from any engine speed. The ZF-provided eight-speed automatic was also applauded for its competence, making the sport paddles an unnecessary formality. If anything, our last drive only left us pining for a better infotainment system, as Jaguar Land Rover's painfully outdated one has been a target of our ire for a while. A limited amount of time behind the wheel, and a desire to see how much the slightly less powerful 2016 Jaguar XF 35t R-Sport gives away to its S-badged stablemate, leads us to our tester. In British Racing Green, the new XF is both more handsome than the slightly manic-looking old XF, yet also slightly more anonymous. This is a lithe shape, with crisp lines and few gimmicks, save the fender vents, which are about as tasteful as that element comes. The car's charms are especially evident from up front. Despite a distracting cut line, the hood is tastefully built up in two steps: a sharp rise from the headlight/fender area, and in the middle a tasteful power bulge. The overall effect is one of thoughtful, purposeful design – after all, this is Ian Callum's work – rather than taking a corporate-mandated design language and scaling it up or down to suit the hardpoints. Spend some time around FCA's UConnect system and you'll see where Jaguar needs to improve. Inside, this XF is a mixed bag. Let's start with the positives. Despite being shod in a rather boring black hide, the front seats are wonderfully comfortable and supportive without aggressive bolstering. The cabin would really wake up with a more interesting leather, like the brown that Jaguar calls "Brogue," covering the seats and door panels. Whatever you think of the rotary shift selector, the knurling on its diameter and the solidity of its action conveys the sense of craftsmanship you'd expect from a British luxury car. Some other controls, such as the cheap-looking and -feeling control stalks sprouting form the otherwise wonderful steering wheel, do not. And that takes us to the infotainment system. This XF does away with Jaguar's old, much-maligned user interface, which was blocky and balky in equal measures.
