Very Nice Southern Jaguar XJ 6!

I am describing this vehicle as honestly as possible and best to my knowledge.

Also see pictures as they tell you the story...

Ok, I am selling my 1995 Jaguar XJ6

It is 6 cylinder, automatic, 4 door English sedan

Has 196,231 miles

I owned this car for about 2 years

It Looks, Runs And Drives Very Well!
No Rust!

Engine accelerates very strong! Transmission shifts very smooth. Sports Mode on transmission works excellent!

Body is great for it's age, no rust!

Breaks work very good!

Glass is all good!

Security system!

Hot Heater!

Steering is straight, suspension works very well, yet sometimes makes noise when going over bad bumpy road.

Tires are good for now, could use replacement next year.

No known leaks of any kind. The last time car was inspected in early January of 2014. It was inspected for leaks, safety, etc.

I want to make something very clear: do not expect a new car here, it is 1995. It is not in like brand new condition, but expect a nice car! It has normal wear and tear on interior and exterior. Radio and sunroof don’t work, AC doesn’t blow cold but heater is very hot!

Some other things:

SRS/Airbag light is on and check engine light comes up sometimes. It was always like this since I got it.

Driver’s side outside door handle is broken.

None of this stuff interferes with daily operation, and it is ready to go the distance for you. Car is great on gas. Enjoy it for years to come!

I got the car about 2 years ago and used a lot for interstate driving.

Sails smoothly on the road and feels very safe.

Since I got it, I put new battery. New alternator was installed last week.

Car was and still is good to me. It is a joy to drive, feels very safe and it turns a lot of heads! People always compliment and I was told numerous times that this is the best, and most comfortable ride ever. Expect a lot of attention with this car.

I have maintenance/repair records for the car for several years. I got them from previous owner. It was always garaged and serviced very well.

Note to people who think that owning a Jaguar is very expensive: I constantly hear that “it must be very expensive to own this car”. Actually, it is not. Parts do usually cost more but many retail auto part stores and online part stores carry parts for this car. You just have to be smart and don't let some repair shops to rip you off, just because you drive a Jaguar.

I will give a lot of tips to the new owner on how to save thousands by avoiding unnecessary repairs, reject over-inflated "extra labor" time and avoid parts price mark ups (actually, this is useful for every car you own).

Also, keep in mind that owners of these cars give it very high ratings on Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds.

Car is sold AS IS, WHER IS.

I can help you with arranging shipping or I can deliver a car within 50 miles of Cedar Bluff, AL if you can give me a ride back home.

Jaguar Land Rover output at two UK plants hit by chip shortage

Thu, Apr 22 2021

LONDON — Output at two of Jaguar Land Rover's (JLR) British car factories will be temporarily halted from Monday, due to COVID-19 supply chain disruption, including a lack of semi-conductors, the firm said on Thursday. "We have adjusted production schedules for certain vehicles which means that our Castle Bromwich and Halewood manufacturing plants will be operating a limited period of non-production from Monday 26th April," the Tata Motors-owned company said. The COVID-19 pandemic has driven up demand for semiconductor chips for use in electronics like computers, as people worked from home, and suppliers are struggling to adjust, hitting output at many automakers. Trade flows have also been affected. On Wednesday, carmaker Stellantis said it would replace digital speedometers with more old-fashioned analogue ones in one of its Peugeot models, as the fallout continues. Renault's finance chief said on Thursday that car production fell by tens of thousands of vehicles in the first quarter as a result of the shortage. Output at JLR's third British car factory in Solihull, central England, will continue, the company said. "We are working closely with affected suppliers to resolve the issues and minimize the impact on customer orders wherever possible."

Jaguar considers BMW X1 fighter

Fri, May 15 2015

It's no secret that the sub-compact crossover is the next big thing in the auto industry. From the Mazda CX-3, Honda HR-V, and Jeep Renegade to the Mercedes-Benz GLA, Audi Q3, and BMW X1, automakers the world over are pushing hard to get a piece of this brand-new pie. Autocar is reporting that Jaguar could soon join the ranks of them. While the manufacturer is hard at work on the new F-Pace, this new CUV would slot in below and could even be priced under the new entry level XE sedan. "A family [of CUVs] is not confirmed but we are investigating it," Steven de Ploey, Jaguar's brand director, told Autocar. "If we want to grow, a compact model is the obvious opportunity. The arguments about this are twofold. It has to be a Jaguar in design and performance, and it would be a challenge to do this. The second is the business, both in terms of scale and competition." While the brand may be toying around with the idea of a compact CUV, de Ploey points out that there are a number of issues preventing a vehicle below the F-Pace. "You'd not just be competing with premium brands but high-end mainstream manufacturers, too. There are lots of other things we have to do before this, but we have opportunities and permission to play there," de Ploey said. "There is also a cost challenge. We'd need a different architecture. What we have is scalable, but that low? You'd really have to investigate taking it down. You need to tick the box with the business case." Related Video:
