Durham, North Carolina, United States
Jaguar XJ6 VDP X300 4.2L 1995 2 owners We are moving back to Europe and saddly I have do depart from my beloved Jaguar ! This car has only 95 000 miles since new and I am the second owner. This car has spent 99% of its life inside a garage at night. This car is really superb ansd spotless but does need a bit of attention so if you are electrically minded this is the deal for you. I give you the details below. This is the LAST of the true Jaguar. It is a VDP version. It is a NON SMOKER CAR ! Most probably nobody ever sat on the back seats (I do not have any kids nor family here and the former owner was as well an older gentleman. As it is an English automobile it has a ghost in it, not a bad ghost but a rather curious one ! Car comes with original documents and leather pouch Car comes with printed (and on CD’s) all Jaguar shop and techical manuals What I had done to this car : 1 - Complete brand new fuel line (less than 2000 miles ago) 2 - New rear brake pads (less than 1000 miles ago 4 - New serpentine and airco belts (lass than 200 miles ago) 4 - 4 x good tires installed (less than 1000 miles ago) they were not new ones but good second hand ones 5 - New water temperature sensor and thermostat 6 - New fog light bulbs, new tail light bulbs 7 – Airco has been recharged 8 – New air filter 9– I will have the oil and oil filter changed prior to sale This car runs strong and DOES NOT BURN A DROP OF OIL Very strong automatic transmission (classic or sportshiting) This car starts when you just show the key ! Very good ans strong battery Very good spare tire Car jack has never been used to my knowledge It has a superb multiple speakers stereo radio/6 CD player by Harman Kardon I also have a small jar of original color leather tint (enough to do plenty of tinting when the day will come) Comes even with original bill of sale and most maintenance bills If you want the quality, the prestige the ride and the power of a superb Jaguar at the price of an horrible Toyota, this is the car for you ! This car never had an accident not even a scratch This car has never seen snow, sleet or ice ! ! ! (North Carolinian car) There is no rust nowere. A All rubbers are good I will give you as well all the cleaning and maintenance products I have for this car ALL CHROMES ARE SUPERB ! Very nice clean interior NC Technical control/inspection perfect and good till June 2014 What the TLC the needs (I am not a mechanic nor a car electrician) There is a malicious electrical ghost/gremlin in the driver’s door and most probably in the wiring between the trunk lid right hinge and the back seat electrical fuse box. There are no lillumination lights when opening the doors, nor in the dashboard or console (but all dashboard lights and instruments are working) If you put in one of the fuse in the rear underseat fuse box all the illumination lights of the dash board are working ! I learned about this through the Jaguar Owner’s forums. It seems tham most Jag owners do know about this ghost. Most probably due to a microswitch in the driver’s door. I do have a ton of new relays, microswitches and other costly spare parts coming with this car (see below). The driver’s door lock is hard to operat with the key (again door panel needs to be removed to access to the cable controlling the key to something – again according to knowlegeable guys on the Jaguar Forums All power stuff is working I do believe that the right side catalytic converter on the exhaust has to be cleaned one of these days (a Jag specialist, whom I respect, in Connecticut, told me that the cat converter on that model Jaguar should not be replaced and should be cleaned as they are extremely well built and solid). The car comes with many brand new spare parts which I boughtfor over $1000.00 from another local Jag owner – restorer leaving for Europe as wel,l last year) Brand new head gasket New brake pads New oil filters Several new relays and micro switches New timing chains Second hand coils ( 5 or 6 of them) A complete under the hood electrical harness Some computer units – for lights, CPU, transmission or other things (I am not knowledgeable of) Some front end links or parts And a bunch of other stuff. There are quite a lot This car will drive any distance and is ready for another 100 000 miles minimum ! IMPORTANT: If you want to drive the car away you will need your own plates and insurance as I have to surrender plates and insurance upon sale. Delivery has to be done on a week day during office hours as the title of the car has to be filled and surrendered to new owner in front of a public notary Do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions Please only bid if you can pay for the car, I have had enough bummers and scammers so far. Thank you |

The 200-mph Jaguar F-Type SVR is coming to Geneva
Wed, Jan 27 2016Jaguar has good news for us: The new F-Type SVR will make its grand debut at March's Geneva Motor Show. Following up on leaked stats from last week, Jag confirms the hardtop F-Type SVR will be capable of hitting 200 miles per hour. The British brand doesn't go much further in confirming other details from last week's report, though. So even though the top end's extra 14 mph has to come from somewhere, we still can't be certain it'll be thanks to a reported 567 horsepower or 516 pound-feet of torque. Jag also won't yet confirm the reported claim of a 3.7-second sprint to 62 mph. What the company is saying, though, is that its first SVR-badged model will be "lighter, faster, and more powerful." JLR's Special Operations boss, John Edwards, calls the new SVR an "all-weather supercar." That lends credence to initial reports that the hottest F-Type will send its power to all four wheels. While the F-Type SVR will hit the Geneva stage on March 1, we won't be waiting that long for all the details – Jaguar will release a complete array of images and details on February 17. We'll have more then. 200MPH JAGUAR F-TYPE SVR TO MAKE GLOBAL DEBUT AT 2016 GENEVA MOTOR SHOW (MAHWAH, N.J.) – January 26, 2016 - The new 2017 Jaguar F-TYPE SVR will make its global debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show on March 1, 2016 and will go on sale in summer 2016. Capable of accelerating to 200mph, the new F-TYPE SVR is the first Jaguar to wear the SVR badge and is developed to exploit the two-seat aluminum sports car's full potential while retaining its day-to-day usability. Lighter, faster and more powerful, the new F-TYPE SVR takes performance, dynamics and driver involvement to a new level yet retains the comfort and duality of character inherent to all Jaguar cars. "The new F-TYPE SVR is the first series production Jaguar car to be developed by Special Vehicle Operations and benefits from everything we know about precision engineering, performance and design," said John Edwards, Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations. "The result is a 200mph, all-weather supercar that you can drive every day – we even made a Convertible version so that enthusiasts can revel in the sound from the new titanium exhaust system." The new F-TYPE SVR will join the 2017 Model Year F-TYPE Coupe and Convertible range comprising of the F-TYPE, F-TYPE Premium, F-TYPE S, F-TYPE British Design Edition and F-TYPE R.
Jaguar's XFR-S Sportbrake looks to be one hot kinschlepper
Tue, 23 Jul 2013This is the Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake, which is too cool for North American sale (the Sportbrake, not the XFR-S sedan, which we're getting soon). Like the XFR-S four-door, it has a 5.0-liter, supercharged V8 pumping out around 550 horsepower.
Our spy photographer's x-ray vision is saying that a ZF eight-speed automatic will be the gearbox of choice for the XFR-S wagon, which fits with the sedan, as well. The Sportbrake also has the usual high-performance touches, with huge air intakes in the front fascia, big wheels wrapped in low-profile tires, a dropped suspension and a rear end that's wearing a diffuser and a pair of meaty, quad exhausts. We're happy to see that the XFR-S Sedan's rear spoiler - or some iteration thereof - isn't here to mangle the Sportbrake's beautiful shape.
Where the this super-fast hauler will debut remains a question. There's virtually zero chance of it arriving at an American auto show (although we do endorse that, and any other decision that brings this wagon to our shores), which likely means it'll be in Europe. The Frankfurt Motor Show and Geneva Motor Show seem like the leading contenders, but we'll just have to wait and see.
Aston and Jag from James Bond Spectre have at it
Sun, May 3 2015Daniel Craig hasn't made a bad James Bond film yet. Spectre is his next step into the iconic role that's due to hit theaters on November 6, and it doesn't look likely to ruin his streak. Still, that's a long wait for such an exciting movie. If you're willing to possibly spoil just a little for yourself, a new featurette shows part of one of the big car chases right now. From what we've seen so far, the chase through Rome in Spectre has earned a good amount of screen time. While the reason for it in the plot is a mystery, that doesn't really matter anyway. What's important is that the scene stars Bond in the Aston Martin DB10 and a villain played by Dave Bautista in the now supercharged V8-powered version of the Jaguar C-X75 racing around the Italian capital's tight streets at night. This clip gives a glimpse at some of the work necessary to get the difficult filming completed. We've seen some of that effort before, though, when footage of the preparation for one shot leaked out. Craig reportedly sustained a pretty bad bump on the head during the shooting, and an earlier rumor also suggested that Bond might get behind the wheel of a Fiat 500 at some point in the scene.
