Hello All I'm Frank I guess you can call me a Jaguar enthusiast I really enjoy driving and Refurbishing  these timeless works of beauty it's my pleasure and my hobby. I'm retired and this is something I really enjoy doing, Believe me it's not for the money.

I have a 1988 jaguar xj6 Vanden Plas this was the first year Jaguar changed there body style and was there top of the line for that year. I have put this car in tip top shape everything works as it should and is a pleasure to drive she's very sound. I have had much  work put into to this car so the next owner can drive and enjoy this is what was worked on correctly NO SHORT CUTS. All new brakes and calipers, new battery, All new wires, plugs , roder and cap replaced  cylinder head and gasket . I have replaced the radio and power antenna. The front seats bottom part has a split seam and can be replaced for not very much the back seats are in excellent condition. The engine is very sound as is the transmission . There is one small issue I felt was not worth fixing that is first thing in the morning the steering is a little tight for exactly 2min I have timed it and because I did the work in the winter months the air conditioner was over looked it works fine but has to be changed over to the new Freon. I will credit the buyer to have the work finished.

AND THATS ALL FOLKS I'M VERY HONEST AND WOULD NOT PUT OUT A CAR I WOUL'D DRIVE MYSELF

I HAVE BEEN USEING THIS CAR EVERY DAY AND SHE'S FINE.....ANY OTHER QUESTIONS E MAIL ME OR CALL ME 516 683 8053 THIS CAR IS WORTH MORE THAN I'm ASKING  I'm LOOKING FOR AN XJS  WILL TRADE SO MAKE ME A REASONABLE OFFER AND LETS MAKE A DEAL.....

Jaguar Land Rover building new Special Vehicle Operations facility

Sun, 17 Aug 2014

It's only been a couple of months since Jaguar Land Rover announced the formation of its new Special Operations division, and we've already seen a number of vehicles to come out of it. But now the British automaker has announced a new facility that will house its elite skunkworks department.
Set to be built at Prologis Park in Ryton, England, on the outskirts of Coventry, the new Special Vehicle Operations Technical Centre will encompass dedicated production lines, F1-style flexible workshops, a dedicated paint studio and VIP suite for commissioning bespoke projects. JLR will spend some $33 million on the facility that will be home to 150 specialists - 100 of them being new hires.
The first project which the Special Operations division is working on is the F-Type Project 7, but we've already seen more projects in the pipeline - including the upcoming Range Rover Sport SVR - and you can bet there'll be more. The revival of the Lightweight E-Type also falls under Special Operations, but is undertaken by the Jaguar Heritage department located nearby at Browns Lane.

Take a trip down Jaguar's memory lane with Xcar

Sat, 19 Jul 2014

For decades, Jaguar has been a company of two minds. On one hand, there are its luxurious, British saloon cars. They might be quick, even sporty, but when it comes down to it, they usually put a focus on comfort and accommodations above all. On the other hand, Jag has its sports cars to really get its buyers' blood pumping. Think about it: the XJ might look pretty sweet, but you know deep down that you would rather take the F-Type for a spirited drive, reveling in its snorty exhaust note. In its latest video, Xcar Films takes us on a very enjoyable history lesson covering some of the Brit brand's most exciting models ever.
Xcar hits all of the highlights, starting with the often-overlooked C-Type from early '50s with its somewhat bulbous shape. Things then progress to the drop-dead gorgeous D-Type. The one in this video is actually the first ever made and therefore worth a fortune. Because of that, the host isn't really able to get too aggressive, but it's fantastic to get an idea of what it's like to experience being behind the wheel of this icon. Finally, it ends with a Series 1 E-Type. This was when the classic model was still something of a sports car; instead of the grand tourer that the E-Type became in its later days.
All three of these cars are legends in their own right, and maybe one day the F-Type could be too. Scroll down for a history lesson on some of Jaguar's best sports cars.

Jaguar to reveal small sedan at Paris show

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

Small sedans are big business for luxury automakers. The C-Class is the top seller for Mercedes-Benz, much as the 3 Series is for BMW, but Jaguar has historically missed out on that market. Its last attempt, the X-Type, proved woefully inadequate, and Jaguar hasn't attempted to take on that market again since. But that's all about to change.
Coventry has been working on a new small Jaguar for some time now (using test mules like the one above wearing modified XF body panels), and according to the latest reports coming in from the UK, it will showcase the result of those efforts at the Paris Motor Show next October. The show car will take the form of a pre-production concept that is expected to preview the production version very closely before the final item is unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
Tipped to be called XS (somewhat appropriately for the brand's smallest model), the new sedan is expected to be the first to use the company's new aluminum platform previewed by the C-X17. Expect styling to follow along similar lines to said crossover concept and the F-Type sportscar, with eventual sedan, wagon and coupe versions to round out the family.
