1984 Jaguar Xj6 Collector Car Barn Find All Original on 2040-cars
Strongsville, Ohio, United States
Barn Find USED IN
MOVIES, TV and ATLANTA OLYMPICS MATCHING NUMBER ALL ORIGINAL 1984 JAGUAR XJ6 SERIES III SEDAN This vehicle along with thousands of others were used in TV and Movies when first purchased and then stored in a barn for over 20+ years. No, I do not know what movies or TV shows they were used in. The owner of the company who supplied these cars (his ex-business) did not keep those records. I purchased over a dozen Jaguars
from the collection and had them transported to Cleveland, Ohio and placed in
storage until I build my mancave. The original New Jersey dust is still on
the car. I talked to the manager of the private storage facility and he said that these these cars were never moved or touched once they were placed in storage (20+ years ago). This car is unmolested and all original. Except for the dust, the car is near immaculate. The paint is excellent, there is no rust - anywhere (except for exhaust pipe). The engine is clean and has not been
started. I wanted to wait until I could properly prepare. I had new keys made from the original paperwork and VIN number. The interior is immaculate and looks like it was rarely driven. The wood could use refinished just because of old varnish. What a magnificent steering wheel. If you like Jaguars and an XJ6 lover, this car is the perfect car for your collection. Needs little, all original, unmolested and has never seen any elements of weather in over 20 years. OIL LOOKS CLEAN. Call me with any questions at 440-915-8440. Take a look at the pictures. I have done nothing to this car except move it a few hundred miles. I do reserve the option to remove this item and sell locally.

Jaguar F-Type SVR set to go topless
Wed, Aug 19 2015Jaguar's sultry F-Type convertible will soon be getting sharper claws. We've captured the high-powered SVR variant during track testing, and these spy shots show huge air intakes and a prominent splitter up front. They're balanced at the rear with a massive spoiler and a central diffuser that breaks up the angled, jutting exhaust pipes. The cloth top is also evident, and it's presence has been expected. Previously, we spied the hardtop variant. This prototype looks ready for production, with the bodywork screwed down and the head- and taillights peering out. Even the black wheels with thin spokes wouldn't look out of place on the street. We also see the cross-drilled carbon-ceramic brakes. These massive stoppers will be required to slow down the 5.0-liter supercharged V8, which could make 600 horsepower. That blows by the 550-hp F-Type R and the limited production F-Type Project 7 (575 hp). The Project 7 can hit 60 miles per hour in 3.8 seconds, and we'd expect the SVR model to eclipse that figure. The F-Type SVR and its convertible sibling are part of Jaguar's strategy to remain to true to its sporting heritage – the company counts seven Le Mans victories – while adding vehicles like the F-Pace crossover and XE sedan to adapt to modern consumer preferences. Jaguar F-Pace SUV teased on YouTube [UPDATE]
Wed, Jun 24 2015UPDATE: Stuart Schorr, Jaguar Land Rover North America's VP of communications, reached out and explained that the Detroit section of the F-Pace video was recycled from the car's confirmation announcement at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, shown here. "There is 100 percent no subliminal message and Frankfurt is the debut location," Schorr told Autoblog. The story has been edited to reflect this information. With the Jaguar F-Pace slated to debut in less than 90 days, at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the teasers are starting to ramp up. That means videos like this, featuring Jaguar design master Ian Callum, which give us short, sweet peeks at the British brand's very first crossover. The big teasers come in the form of Callum's drawings of the F-Pace, combined with short clips of its headlights and taillights as it zooms around the streets of downtown Detroit. That said, none of the images shown are so dramatically different from the C-X17 Concept, the vehicle that previewed the production model and makes an appearance here. We aren't really sure why the Motor City features in the teaser, considering the F-Pace is being unveiled in Germany, but one of the final sequences sees a set of taillights streak past Cobo Center, home of the annual Detroit Auto Show. It's a weird decision to be sure, and leaves us wondering just how much truth there is to reports of the Frankfurt debut. Why would Jag make such a decision if the D weren't going to play some role in the car's future? Take a look at the video up top, and let us know what you think of Jag's first F-Pace teaser. Is there any particular design detail we missed? What do you think of the potential Detroit connection? Head into Comments and let us know.
Jaguar rolls out 2014 XJ updates
Tue, 20 Aug 2013It may be an uphill battle with Mercedes-Benz having rolled out its all-new S-Class, but in an effort to entice more customers towards its flagship sedan, Jaguar has announced a series of enhancements for the XJ.
A number of upgrades aim to make the long-wheelbase model that much more accommodating, with new airline-style rear seats that recline, massage and optimize the headroom in the back. The rear suspension has also been recalibrated for comfort, and there's a new optional Meridian sound system with a Conversation Assist feature that uses microphones in the headliner to pick up occupants' voices and pipe them through the speakers to support the art of conversation in motion.
The engine range carries over unchanged, but each engine is now mated to an eight-speed automatic with an available stop/start system which Jaguar says takes less time to restart the engine than it takes for the driver to move his or her right foot from brake to gas. Full details in the press release below.
