Brought to you by Classic Investments of Colorado:
When introduced in 1968, the first series Jaguar XJ6 saloon was a phenomenon of British engineering. The remarkable lines, eye-opening performance and comfortable and spacious interior were far beyond the nearest competitor offerings. Automotive critics drove the new model to high acclaim in nearly every motoring magazine of the time! Today these vehicles still retain a reputation of pride and beauty.
This wonderfully kept example just recently became available from a long ownership, right here in dry Colorado. Repainted about 10 years ago, the finish is still in great shape and a perfect color match to the original. Every other aspect of this car shines just as brightly. Entire color combination is factory correct and quite attractive. The recently refinished tan leather upholstery is exceedingly comfortable and brown carpeting is in excellent shape as is the original dash with all gauges, switches, wood and trim–nearly as fresh as the day it left the factory.
Panel and trim fit is very good and the car is very straight. The chassis is straight and undercarriage exhibits no corrosion.
Under the hood you may be surprised to see a small block Chevrolet V-8… You may also be surprised to hear it run and especially surprised during your test drive. This conversion was actually quite popular and eliminates several reliability issues with the early production XJ series. The installation was done professionally and is not only very attractive but remarkably quiet, smooth and economical. This engine does not limit the XJ’s ability on the road at all. Ride comfort, control and handling are all still excellent with nothing sacrificed. The update even includes modern style cruise control for those long journeys you are sure to take.
Speaking of journeys, this car comes with even more great options. Items like air conditioning, power windows, 4 wheel disc brakes, a large trunk and plenty of space for 4 people and all of their belongings are just what you need to make those trips even more comfortable.

Land Rover will put a Covid-nuking air filtration system in future cars
Tue, Mar 16 2021Jaguar - Land Rover (JLR) is developing an air filtration system that inhibits up to 97% of viruses and airborne bacteria. Designed like a face mask for your car's HVAC system, it's built on Panasonic's Nanoe X technology. Most of the company's models (including the Land Rover Defender) currently come equipped with Panasonic's Nanoe technology and PM2.5 filtration. Nanoe X is 10 times more effective, according to the brand, because it relies on a high voltage to create trillions of hydroxyl (OH) radicals enveloped in nano-sized water molecules. Think of them as Roman guards in front of a fortress: they keep the bad out, and ensure only the good can come in. Viruses and bacteria proteins are denatured when they come into contact with the filtration system, meaning they can't reproduce or grow. The OH radicals also zap common allergens and mold, but they're harmless to humans. JLR stressed it's not relying on computer simulations to decide whether its filtration system works as designed. It asked British laboratory Perfectus Biomed to perform a test that simulates a ventilation system in recirculation mode for a 30-minute cycle in a sealed chamber. The results were encouraging: 97% of viruses and airborne bacteria were nuked. The carmaker pointed out Panasonic's Nanoe X technology has been independently proven to inhibit 99.995% of coronaviruses during a two-hour laboratory test carried out by French immunology lab Texcell. Future models from Jaguar and Land Rover will use this technology, though a representative for both companies declined to tell us when it will reach production, and which nameplate(s) will inaugurate it. Meanwhile, Honda launched its own coronavirus killer across the pond. It's a cabin air filter sold as a genuine replacement part that consists of four layers, including one coated with an active substance of fruit extract that inactivates nearly 100% of the viral aerosols it captures. It's available in Europe through Honda dealers, but it won't be sold in America. Jaguar Land Rover

Jaguar Project 7 concept is an F-Type in a D-Type mold [w/video]
Wed, 10 Jul 2013In addition to the XJR, XFR-S and XKR-S GT models Jaguar is bringing to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, the manufacturer announced that the F-Type-based, D-Type-inspired Project 7 design study will make its "dynamic" debut at the festival, with driving duties assigned to Mike Cross, Jaguar's chief engineer of vehicle integrity. Here's the cool part: With Jaguar's Director of Design, Ian Callum, leading the team responsible for Project 7, it went from the drawing board to track testing in only four months, Jaguar states, with a claimed 0-60 time of 4.1 seconds and top speed of 186 miles per hour.
Project 7, which was named in honor of Jaguar's seven wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will be making runs up the hill at Goodwood over all three days of the festival, which starts at the Goodwood House in West Sussex, England, this Friday.
Far from a fragile concept car, Jaguar says, the single-seat Project 7 is a fully functional sports car. It uses the all-aluminum chassis and body of the F-Type, retains that car's 550-horsepower, supercharged 5.0-liter V8 and eight-speed automatic transmission but features lots of bespoke carbon fiber aerodynamic bits, some of which were inspired by the Le Mans-winning D-Type of the 1950s. The most obvious nod to that classic is the rear fairing with integrated rollover hoop - the F-Type's convertible top is gone. The windshield was also lowered, giving the roadster a more rakish silhouette as it sits on 20-inch forged-alloy wheels with carbon fiber inserts.
