What we have here is perhaps the nicest custom Jaguar XJ Supercharged in the country!
We started out with a perfect, low milage example of the XJ Supercharged short wheel base car finished in stunning
polaris white with a rare navy blue interior. This is the only car with this color combination I have ever seen as
I’m guessing 90% of the white cars only were optioned with the black interior and the other, say 18% of the white
cars were built with the all too common, non contrasting tan interior. The navy blue with the ivory piping is
absolutely gorgeous in a white Jag and must be seen to be appreciated.. The heated steering wheel boasts a custom
matching navy perforated leather wrap that matches the interior impeccably. The trim on the car is the black
walnut giving the car a modern, sleek interior decor and not the all too common- burl most other Jags have. The
windows are professionally tinted with polarized non metallic tint job that cost $800. The car has all options
including cold weather and Illumination pack. This was a $4500 option that illuminated the vents, trunk plate and
kick panels with blue led mood lighting. The car is also optioned with the $2700 1100w Bowers & Wilkins upgraded
stereo.
Moving on to the exterior.
The Platinum Edition car relates to the 75th anniversary show car that was featured at the Geneva car show by
Jaguar last year. That particular car was firstly completely de-chromed. Following in that tradition, all the
chrome on the car was completely removed and finished in black. This includes the chrome grille, grill trim and
window trim. The panorama window trim was also finished in black to provide the car with a cohesive layout and not
the broken color scheme provided by the factory. the rear valance was also finished in matte black as well as the
tailpipe to make the car look up to date. There in no chrome left whatsoever on the exterior of the car. An Arden
trunk spoiler painted in factory white is also installed. Add to the look a professional window tint and you can
plainly see that this Jaguar is set so far apart than even the XJR which contains the same motor as this car. No
XJR even looks as good as this car I assure you.
Added are a set of color matched polaris white and black custom 3 piece Forgiato rims fitted with 90% tread tires.
The wheel and tire package were bought at California wheel for $7500 and the car will come with the receipt to
prove it! The rims are 4 years old and do show a few signs of use but have been touched up.
Don't make the mistake of comparing this car to any other XJ in the world!
The calipers are finished in a brilliant Porsche red, designed to keep dust off your wheels. Other extras include
Jaguar factory metal sport pedals, and LED logo illumination kit that shines the Jaguar emblem on the ground at
night when you or the passenger opens the door.
The condition of the car is 10/10. There are no surprises to be found. Not a scratch anywhere. Car just came off
it's last service and I had the dealer change/replace anything with a lick of wear and the car stayed in the shop
an extra day after promise date to make sure every part that could possibly fail in the near future was back to
new. The N/C bill was $3800. You can rest assured that the car is as close to new as any 2012 could possibly be!
Take a close look at the hi-res pictures that are included and tell me if this is indeed the best looking XJ in the
country. I challenge you to find a better example anywhere!
This car will attract crowds anywhere you go with people wondering what they are looking at.

Jaguar deletes decade's worth of Instagram posts, fuels speculation

Tue, May 31 2022

Jaguar has made the enigmatic decision of deleting about a decade's worth of posts from its official Instagram account. The company then fueled speculation by posting three close-up images that show the XJR-9 (pictured), a prototype that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1988. The three posts are captioned "flash back," "genesis" and "prologue," respectively. The first shows part of the cover fitted over the XJR-9's passenger-side rear wheel arch, the second shows the top part of the rear end, and the third shows a center-locking wheel. What's odd is that there is no big anniversary linked to the car: the XJR-9 won its last race during the 1989 season and it stopped racing shortly after. This content is hosted by a third party. We know that Jaguar hopes to become an electric-only brand by 2030, so it's not unreasonable to assume that it might want a fresh start, but that's three years away. And, why mark the beginning of what's marketed as new era with photos of a car that was powered by a mid-mounted 7.0-liter V12? While this is pure speculation, we have two possible answers. First, a limited-edition version of an existing car inspired by the XJR-9 could be around the corner. The 2022 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans starts on June 11, so we could see it there. Alternatively, the Goodwood Festival of Speed will open its doors on June 23 and run until June 26; that's another plausible venue for the hypothetical unveiling. Second, the brand could be preparing to announce a return to endurance racing after a long hiatus. Porsche, BMW, Lamborghini and Cadillac are among the companies that will race in the upcoming LMDh category, which includes the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Jaguar ended Porsche's winning streak in 1988; is posting photos of the XJR-9 on Instagram a way to announce it's digging up the hatchet? Keep in mind that none of this is official. All we know for sure at this point is that the brand's SV division will reveal a new car on June 1, 2022. It posted a preview image on its Instagram account, which is separate from the main Jaguar account and whose posts are still up. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party. 2018 Jaguar E-Pace Video Review | Jag's smallest SUV is a high-priced hit

Wed, Oct 3 2018

The following is the transcript from our above 2018 Jaguar E-Pace video review. To read more about this compact luxury SUV, read our E-Pace first drive review. There's nothing like some Sunday morning driving. And today I am driving the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace, which is Jaguar's latest gasoline-fueled crossover offering, not to be confused with the I-Pace, which is their electric vehicle. This particular model is powered by a 246-horsepower turbocharged, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that makes 269 pound-feet of torque. It's mated to a nine-speed ZF automatic transmission, and my biggest gripe about the engine is that it can be a bit laggy, especially driving around in the mountains, particularly in Comfort mode. I would also appreciate paddle shifters on all of the models, not just the R-Dynamic, the lack of which on a $54,000, so-called sporty crossover is pretty disappointing. My disappointment doesn't linger very long, however, as the nicely weighted steering in this cub makes driving on these mountain roads pretty enjoyable. All-wheel drive does come standard on all varieties, and each feature four drive modes: Comfort, Dynamic, Eco, and then Rain/Ice/Snow. Let's talk about looks. Jaguar chief designer Ian Callum knows how to design an SUV. The F-Pace is my favorite looking vehicle in the segment and the style translates nicely to the smaller E-Pace. While it's not as good looking as its big brother, in my opinion, it definitely takes the crown over the Range Rover Evoque and the Discovery Sport, both of which share its platform. In fact, the E-Pace would rather easily be the best-looking vehicle in its class, if not for the newly-released Volvo XC40. This Cesium Blue paint is one of my favorite colors on the market, well worth the $590 price tag, in my opinion. I'm not a huge fan of chrome in general, and while this car is no exception, you can opt for the Blackout Pack, which replaces all the chrome on the car with gloss black paint. My biggest gripes with the F-Pace? Interior, infotainment and price. Those issues remain in its smaller sibling. When it comes to interiors, the Germans and the Swedes do a much better job, and when it comes to price, there are much better interiors out there. Most of the materials inside that you touch do feel pretty nice, but there are still a few cheap-feeling plastics around the cabin. And until there's a significant update to the infotainment system, JLR is always going to be behind the competition.

This Jaguar D-Type is what you should spend your multimillion-dollar holiday bonus on

Tue, Dec 5 2017

The end of the year is fast approaching, your holiday shopping is done, and the mutual fund you help manage is paying out some serious bonuses. What do you do with all that sweet cash? Well, if it's over seven figures, we suggest hanging on to it until January when it could help you buy this amazing 1954 Jaguar D-Type race car. The D-Type, for those of you unfamiliar, is Jaguar's famous race car that gave birth to the road-going XKSS, one of which was owned by Steve McQueen. The D-Type was known for its successes on the track, and frequent appearances at Le Mans, with a victory at the endurance race in 1956. This particular car also raced there in 1954 with the Jaguar factory team, and behind the wheel was Sir Stirling Moss. According to RM Sotheby's, it led the race for a major chunk, but eventually retired due to brake issues. The car was campaigned at other events through the year, and it also saw time at the hands of a privateer team that bought the car in 1955. Many decades later, the car is being offered for public sale for the first time in its life at the RM Sotheby's auction in Arizona, Jan. 18-19. According to the auction company, the car features the original body, chassis, drivetrain and suspension. Between the history and the originality, the company is expecting the car to bring between $12 million and $15 million, hence the reason this is probably just for those with seriously massive holiday bonuses. But if you have the means, you could do way worse than spending it on this Jaguar.
