What we have here is perhaps the nicest custom Jaguar XJ Supercharged in the country!
We started out with a perfect, low milage example of the XJ Supercharged short wheel base car finished in stunning
polaris white with a rare navy blue interior. This is the only car with this color combination I have ever seen as
I’m guessing 90% of the white cars only were optioned with the black interior and the other, say 18% of the white
cars were built with the all too common, non contrasting tan interior. The navy blue with the ivory piping is
absolutely gorgeous in a white Jag and must be seen to be appreciated.. The heated steering wheel boasts a custom
matching navy perforated leather wrap that matches the interior impeccably. The trim on the car is the black
walnut giving the car a modern, sleek interior decor and not the all too common- burl most other Jags have. The
windows are professionally tinted with polarized non metallic tint job that cost $800. The car has all options
including cold weather and Illumination pack. This was a $4500 option that illuminated the vents, trunk plate and
kick panels with blue led mood lighting. The car is also optioned with the $2700 1100w Bowers & Wilkins upgraded
stereo.
Moving on to the exterior.
The Platinum Edition car relates to the 75th anniversary show car that was featured at the Geneva car show by
Jaguar last year. That particular car was firstly completely de-chromed. Following in that tradition, all the
chrome on the car was completely removed and finished in black. This includes the chrome grille, grill trim and
window trim. The panorama window trim was also finished in black to provide the car with a cohesive layout and not
the broken color scheme provided by the factory. the rear valance was also finished in matte black as well as the
tailpipe to make the car look up to date. There in no chrome left whatsoever on the exterior of the car. An Arden
trunk spoiler painted in factory white is also installed. Add to the look a professional window tint and you can
plainly see that this Jaguar is set so far apart than even the XJR which contains the same motor as this car. No
XJR even looks as good as this car I assure you.
Added are a set of color matched polaris white and black custom 3 piece Forgiato rims fitted with 90% tread tires.
The wheel and tire package were bought at California wheel for $7500 and the car will come with the receipt to
prove it! The rims are 4 years old and do show a few signs of use but have been touched up.
Don't make the mistake of comparing this car to any other XJ in the world!
The calipers are finished in a brilliant Porsche red, designed to keep dust off your wheels. Other extras include
Jaguar factory metal sport pedals, and LED logo illumination kit that shines the Jaguar emblem on the ground at
night when you or the passenger opens the door.
The condition of the car is 10/10. There are no surprises to be found. Not a scratch anywhere. Car just came off
it's last service and I had the dealer change/replace anything with a lick of wear and the car stayed in the shop
an extra day after promise date to make sure every part that could possibly fail in the near future was back to
new. The N/C bill was $3800. You can rest assured that the car is as close to new as any 2012 could possibly be!
Take a close look at the hi-res pictures that are included and tell me if this is indeed the best looking XJ in the
country. I challenge you to find a better example anywhere!
This car will attract crowds anywhere you go with people wondering what they are looking at.

Jaguar Heritage Driving Experience throws you the keys to the museum

Thu, 16 Oct 2014

As automotive journalists, we get to drive a lot of really cool, high-performance vehicles. It really is the single best thing about this job. However, our access to vehicles is generally limited to the newest offerings on the market. That means, much like the general public, we don't really get access to vintage iron.
Jaguar is trying to rectify that issue for journalist and enthusiast alike, with a new program called the Heritage Driving Experience. It allows British enthusiasts to pop into the brand's Warwickshire testing site, drop anywhere from 100 to 300 pounds ($160 to $480) and go for a spin in some of the brand's most legendary offerings. That includes the more typical classics, like the Mark 2 saloon and the E-Type sports car, but you can also pay for access to stunners like the XK150, XKSS and the race-spec D-Type. In addition to the classics, most of the tests include time in their modern successors. So an hour with the Mark II can be split with time in an XFR-S, while the E-Type is complemented by its spiritual successor, the F-Type.
Most of the events are limited to 30 or 60-minute sessions, although the brand does offer a half-day and full-day event. The former, the Jaguar Le Mans Experience, includes time in the C-Type, D-Type, XKSS and F-Type R. The full-day Grace and Pace Pack, meanwhile, gives you access to nine vehicles, covering a huge gamut. That means time in the C-, D- and E-Type, XK150, Mark II, XKR-S GT and F-Type R, among others. Not surprisingly, prices aren't listed for the half- and full-day pack. Much like Jag's finest cars, if you have to ask, you probably can't afford them.

Chris Harris finds the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe rather drifty

Wed, 26 Mar 2014

Our own Matt Davis may have called the new Jaguar F-Type R Coupe "one heady rascal," but our review was disappointingly short on drifting, tire smoke and general, English shenanigans. You know, the sort of things that Chris Harris from Drive excels at.
Actually, relative to Harris' other reviews, this one is rather serious. There's a good recap of the F-Type on the road, with Harris referencing the car's "great bottom" and "amazing ass," quite frequently. Surprisingly, Harris says the more powerful F-Type R is just "incrementally" faster than the 495-horsepower F-Type V8 S Convertible. Following the on-road portion, it's off to the track. You can probably predict what goes on there. Overall, aside from some quibbles, Harris has nothing but praise for the newest cat.

Daily Driver: 2015 Jaguar XJL AWD

Mon, Jun 15 2015

Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog press fleet, reviewed by the staffers who drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2015 Jaguar XJL AWD, reviewed by Seyth Miersma. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. Watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: [00:00:00] Hey everybody, it's your old pal Seyth here with Autoblog. I am in the 2015 Jaguar XJL. That L is for a long-wheelbase. The engine powering this car is the 3.0-liter supercharged V6. My cameras inside probably didn't pick up a lot of that, but the supercharged 3.0-liter does have a nice little growl to it, especially in sport mode [00:00:30] where I'm staying higher in the rev range. It doesn't have that same big, luxurious, meaty, whoofly V8 sound as the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter used to. At 340 horsepower, 332 lb-ft of torque, this engine has everything that you need. I think that they say the 0 to 60 time is around six seconds. Frankly, the car feels a little bit faster even that that. Again, we're talking about a large long-wheelbase car here. What's particularly interesting and [00:01:00] relevant to the weather that you see behind me right now, is that this car is not rear-wheel drive. It is in fact all-wheel drive. Even going into this, knowing obviously that I was in an all-wheel drive car, the first drive really reveals it to handle a lot like a rear-wheel drive vehicle. That's appropriate. That's what you want in a car of this class. Something very luxurious and that has a reputation built on sporting dynamics as opposed to sort of just comfort and refinement. [00:01:30] Jaguar's goal with an all-wheel drive system like this is to make the car still feel very much like a rear-wheel drive vehicle but give you just enough ability to be able to pull out of a corner smartly when the grip is a little bit lower than you'd expect it to be. Obviously if there's some snow on the ground, that's a helpful thing. Or on a day like today, when I'm coming out of a corner on a slightly slippery road, being able to put the power down is advantageous. To be honest, so far the application has been really seamless. The power seems to be [00:02:00] flowing from the engine just to the rear wheels. I feel like I'm getting a little bit of assist, right now I'm entering a corner at a moderate speed and not really slipping at all. It feels like a rear-wheel drive car. I've always loved this XJ.
