This is a very clean 2012 Jaguar XF Portfolio. The car runs and drives very well. It is a 2 owner car and has been
very well taken care of throughout its life. The tires on it are new. The transmission shifts very smoothly and
effortlessly. The seats are in excellent condition with no rips or tears. The paint on the car is beautiful and
there are no dents or scratches whatsoever. Brakes are in good condition. Motor is very smooth and had a recent oil
change. AC and heat work fine, all electronics work. Interior was just professionally detailed. The steering is
tight and responsive. If you drive this car, you will see how it is a great example of a well maintained Jaguar.
The paddle shifters provide for a sporty feel with nanosecond quick shifts. The car is very winter friendly as
well, with the heated mirrors, heated seats, and heated steering wheel.
The car comes with the premium package which includes the rear sunshade, blind spot assist, and headlight control.
It also has the cold weather package.
Exterior:
The exterior of the car is in perfect condition. The paint is a beautiful black color. The wheels are alloy and
stand out against the black color of the car. The chrome accents and grille all shine beautifully and are not
chipped or scratched. The headlights shine very brightly and are automatic. The car is garage kept and washed and
waxed regularly. One touch door locks make it very convenient for entry and exit, allowing you to keep the key in
your pocket at all times.
Interior:
Inside of this Jaguar you will find the very rare London Tan interior option. The seats are in outstanding
condition with no tears or cracks. The roofliner is made of suede and adds a very luxurious feel to the entire car.
Real wood trim surrounds the console. The vents open and close up automatically, providing a true sense of luxury
and quality to the vehicle. In addition, the shifter rises automatically after starting the car. It has a sports
driving mode and paddle shifters, as well as controls on the steering wheel. The navigation system and 7" touch
screen command are the focal point of the dash. The navigation system includes illustrations of nearby landmarks,
skyscrapers, and more. It is the best, most easy to use, and modern navigation system in any car I have ever
driven. The overall ride of the car is very luxurious. It has every option available and feels presidential when
driving it. All of the original mats are present.
Safety:
The car is ranked highly for safety due to the many features it has. There is a rear backup camera with steering
guidance lines. This means that it will show you where the car will back up into a spot so you can adjust
accordingly. It has front and rear parking sensors with touchscreen visual indicators. It has front and rear side
curtain airbags. It has front seat mounted airbags. Also included are active head restraints, a whiplash reduction
system. There is cornering brake control, traction control, and anti lock brakes. The front airbags are dual stage
with occupant classification sensors.
The sound system in this car is amazing. It has premium Jaguar sound which includes 10 speakers, bluetooth audio,
and Sirius radio, in addition to the cd changer and AM FM radio.

1955 Jaguar D-Type that won Le Mans sets $21.78 million record price at auction

Sun, Aug 21 2016

There's simply no denying that the Jaguar D-Type is one of the most noteworthy race cars ever devised. Jaguar pioneered the use of the monocoque chassis design, and D-Types won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1955, 1956, and 1957. And with its bodywork pulled taught over the wheels, engine, and passenger compartment, not to mention the massive fin behind the driver's headrest, the D-Type also one of the most stunning. The car you see above, Jaguar D-Type chassis number XKD 501, won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1956, narrowly defeating a team from Aston Martin. Along the way, this D-Type completed 2,507.19 miles at an average speed of 104.47 miles per hour, and a maximum speed of 156.868 mph on the Mulsanne Straight. It was entered by the non-factory team Ecurie Ecosse, and therefore painted in the team's traditional Scottish blue with a white cross. That kind of provenance, coupled with its pristine original race-winning condition, makes XKD 501 extremely valuable. In fact, it just sold at RM Sotheby's Monterey auction for $21.78 million (a $19.8 million bid plus auction fees), making it the most expensive British automobile ever sold at auction. Take a gander at our high-res image gallery above to soak up all its low-slung goodness. Related Video:

Driving the Lotus Emira and Nissan Sakura | Autoblog Podcast #805

Fri, Nov 3 2023

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor, Electric, John Beltz Snyder and Associate Editor Byron Hurd. This week we've got a handful of cars to review, like the Lotus Emira, Jaguar F-Type, Honda Accord Hybrid, Mini Cooper SE and Nissan Sakura. There's a new Autoblog T-shirt available through a collaboration with Blipshift (read more here, and buy yours here). Could there be a new, midsize Ram pickup set for U.S. production? Nissan is considering an affordable, electrified small pickup for America. The VW ID.7 Tourer electric wagon has been revealed, and we consider whether it should come here, too. John talks about the energy of the exhibition halls at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show, and our hosts talk highlights from SEMA 2023. Finally, we open some listener mail to help choose a fun convertible rental for a trip to Phoenix in this week's "Spend My Money" segment. Jaguar's XFR-S Sportbrake looks to be one hot kinschlepper

Tue, 23 Jul 2013

This is the Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake, which is too cool for North American sale (the Sportbrake, not the XFR-S sedan, which we're getting soon). Like the XFR-S four-door, it has a 5.0-liter, supercharged V8 pumping out around 550 horsepower.
Our spy photographer's x-ray vision is saying that a ZF eight-speed automatic will be the gearbox of choice for the XFR-S wagon, which fits with the sedan, as well. The Sportbrake also has the usual high-performance touches, with huge air intakes in the front fascia, big wheels wrapped in low-profile tires, a dropped suspension and a rear end that's wearing a diffuser and a pair of meaty, quad exhausts. We're happy to see that the XFR-S Sedan's rear spoiler - or some iteration thereof - isn't here to mangle the Sportbrake's beautiful shape.
Where the this super-fast hauler will debut remains a question. There's virtually zero chance of it arriving at an American auto show (although we do endorse that, and any other decision that brings this wagon to our shores), which likely means it'll be in Europe. The Frankfurt Motor Show and Geneva Motor Show seem like the leading contenders, but we'll just have to wait and see.
