Hello you are bidding on a very nice damaged 2011 Jaguar XF with 39,188 miles. The vehicle runs and drives fine. The car sustained damage to the left rear of the vehicle and damaged down the right side. The car has good bags, front and rear frame rails all appear to be untouched, the radiator, ac condenser and cooling fans are good. The ac blows cold.There is actually used and new take off parts available at car-part or on www ebay com. The vehicle will need front and rear bumper covers, front foglights, fornt grille, both tail lights, trunklid, misc clips and hardware. The car runs good, the hood and headlights are ok. The right quarter is pushed in will need to be pulled and repaired. The interior is super nice. The right side doors have some damage on them will need to be repaired. Ian Callum wanted to call Jaguar's crossover X-Type [w/poll]
Thu, Jan 15 2015Jaguar raised some eyebrows when it announced that it would call its upcoming crossover F-Pace. But the British automaker didn't just pick the name out of a hat. Speaking with Auto Express, Jaguar's design director Ian Callum said the company entertained several possible nameplates for its first crossover, and that he personally advocated for resurrecting the name X-Type. The nameplate was, of course, previously used on the marque's entry-level sedan – the predecessor to the upcoming XE that was based on the front-drive platform of the Ford Mondeo and which was also offered with all-wheel drive. The connection with that much-maligned model is reportedly ultimately what dissuaded the company's marketing gurus from using the nameplate again, even if it might have been more suitable. Another nameplate Coventry reportedly considered was XQ, but the latter letter's use by rival Audi for its crossovers and by former sister company Aston Martin for its personalization range ruled the prospect out for the Leaping Cat marque. Auto Express notes a connection between the name F-Pace and Jaguar's 1960s ad campaign hailing its products as offering a combination of "Grace, Space and Pace." For his part, Callum didn't dismiss the possibility the slogan could could lead to additional models wearing similar nameplates like F-Grace or F-Space. Jay Leno checks out a replica 1937 Jaguar SS100
Tue, Nov 3 2015This 1937 Jaguar SS100 might be fantastic, but it's not an original. It's a replica, but one built to exacting standards and the original design. And it stopped by Jay Leno's Garage for a quick spin. The original was built by SS Cars Ltd, the precursor of the company we know today as Jaguar – and which changed its name and logo after WWII for reasons that shouldn't require explanation. There were only a few hundred of them made between 1936 and 1940, but they remain a popular choice among recreation manufacturers. Many of those replica constructors are based out of the UK, but this particular example is the work of one Jason Len, head of XKs Unlimited out of San Luis Obispo, CA. Len and company will produce a turnkey replica of the pre-war Jag convertible starting at $170,000. Which may seem like an awful lot for a replica, but that price may seem entirely reasonable when you see all the attention that goes in to building one. Watch the video above to see for yourself.
