On Location in Montenegro with Jaguar

I didn't know much about Montenegro until just a few weeks ago, when Jaguar invited Autoblog to the country to test out the 2017 F-Pace. In case you missed our write-up, the vehicle is excellent. So, it turns out, is Montenegro. According to the all-knowing Wikipedia, "It has a coast on the Adriatic Sea to the southwest and is bordered by Croatia to the west, Bosnia and Herzegovina to the northwest, Serbia to the northeast, and Albania to the southeast." That's a dry way of saying that Montenegro is situated in a beautiful part of Europe, with mountains galore, glorious coastlines, and spectacular rocky cliffs that plummet into the Adriatic Sea. Getting to Montenegro is a bit difficult. There are two airports in the country, neither of which is particularly large or easily accessible. Driving can be a challenge, too; since most of the country is mountainous, there are exactly zero highways within its boundaries. There are, however, lots of winding two-lane roads with picturesque views and a ferry system to shuttle vehicles across some of the larger bodies of water. Montenegro is a great place to experience a vehicle like the Jaguar F-Pace, which offers great driving dynamics across a wide variety of road surfaces. Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?

Jaguar XK to cease production this summer

With the introduction of the F-Type coupe and convertible, Jaguar has cleared room in its sports car lineup to drop the XK for new models. "There will be a 2015 model year XK, but the rumors are true, production for the XK will end later this year after eight years," said Wayne York Kung, Jaguar USA National Product Communications Manager, in an email to Autoblog. A replacement for the GT might be a very long way off.
The automaker told Auto Express that it's part of a "wider strategic vision and product planning cycle." Ending assembly will allow the feline luxury brand to build better-selling vehicles like the XE, its upcoming BMW 3 Series fighter. The new sedan is scheduled to go on sale in Europe in 2015 and in the US in 2016. It also needs to make room for the C-X17 crossover to be built, which is likely expected to sell better than a 2+2 GT car.
"There are no immediate plans to replace the XK," said Kung in his email. Jag was rumored to be considering moving a future generation of it upmarket. The new model would have been a bigger, softer grand tourer and allow the F-Type to be the brand's more hardcore sports car.
