2005 Jaguar X-type...3.0l...awd...clean...runs Great--no Reserve--steal It on 2040-cars
This 2005 Jaguar X-Type is clean inside and out. The car has been well maintained. In fact, it was just inspected and fully serviced; so you can feel safe driving it anywhere. The engine, transmission, drivetrain, and all other components function perfectly. Plus, the AWD drive feature is great in the snow. The ABS light and airbag light are on. The ABS just came on a few days ago, and the mechanic stated, it is probably a ABS sensor, or simply due snow getting one of the sensors. The airbag light has been on for a while, which is due a bad clock spring, which common on European vehicles. Nonetheless, this vehicle is very safe and reliable.
The interior is in very good condition, showing minimal wear and tear. The leather seats, panel and dash still look great, and the carpet is free on stains. The exterior has minor scuffs and dings, but is in overall good condition. The paint still has a nice shine to it. Just view the pictures for yourself and you will see. This is a really nice car, and it's price to sell quickly. Although this is a NO RESERVE auction, the car is also for sale locally, which means the auction could end early. So offers are welcomed. Don't miss out on this deal. Thanks and Good Luck! Jaguar XK and F-Type meet for final sibling faceoff
Fri, 08 Aug 2014There's nothing that real, dyed-in-the-wool car geeks love so much as to say "Old Car X is actually a lot better than New Car Y." For reasons that defy both logic and science, we all (your author included) are able to, almost simultaneously, bitch about needed advancements in current vehicles and then bemoan character lost in the next crop.
Mitsubishi Evo models have been supremely prone to this bifurcation of opinion in recent years (ask an Evo IX fanboy about the Evo X sometime... ), and performance cars wearing WRX, Mustang, and M3 badges have been deeply subject to it, as well.
The Jaguar XK and F-Type are not exactly in the same one-model, generational-changeover form as those mentioned above, but that doesn't mean that there aren't defenders of both the old dog and the new joint. Autocar seeks the truth of the matter in this new video, and we're just happy to come along for the ride. May the best sib win.
Jaguar Land Rover is going to call itself 'JLR' and spin off brands
Wed, Apr 19 2023Embracing the current popular philosophy that less is more, the executives at Jaguar Land Rover plan to officially rename their company “JLR” and to create a new “house of brands” that will emphasize name equity and refocus its vehicle offerings. In simple terms, the British-based, India-owned company will split into four separate brands: Range Rover, Discovery, Defender and Jaguar. While this shift may appear to be essentially a function of marketing and dealership bookkeeping, the over-arching reason is to give some of the brands more visibility. Details of the plan, which would reconfigure showrooms in Britain into discrete brand footprints, were discussed this week at a presentation by JLR CEO Adrian Mardell. “The reality is Range Rover is a brand and so is Defender,’” said creative officer Gerry McGovern. “Customers say they own a Range Rover. In luxury, you need absolute clarity. Land Rover Range Rover SV Autobiography doesnÂ’t give it. We love Land Rover, but there isn't as much equity as Range Rover, and Defender is increasing massively.” Underlying the effort is plans to reinvent Jaguar as an electric-only luxury brand, Mardell said that this was “unfinished business” for him since he joined Jaguar 32 years ago. “The Jaguar of 32 years ago is where weÂ’re going back to and the right place for us to be." He further acknowledged that JLR had been “quiet” recently in the face of semiconductor chip shortages, but allowed that that situation was easing at his company.
2018 Jaguar F-Pace S Live Video Review | Snow day edition
Wed, Jan 31 2018We're nearing the end of our six-month long-term test of the 2018 Jaguar F-Pace S. We've put nearly 12,000 miles on the car in just a few months, and we have plans to add a few thousand more before time runs out. It's been a cold and snowy winter, so the Jaguar's combination of heated seats, an electrically-heated windshield and all-wheel drive has made it a popular choice. It's going to be a sad day when the car goes back to Jaguar, though our new long-term 2018 Honda Ridgeline will help fill our cat-sized void. This content is hosted by a third party. As you can see by my coat and our white backdrop, the weather has only gotten worse. The cold does change things, so this gives us a good opportunity to see how well the F-Pace is holding up.
