2004 Jaguar X-type Base Sedan 4-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Los Angeles, California, United States
We have had our 2004 Jaguar X-type 3.0 for five years now and let me tell you this is a a reliable vehicle. It's a Jaguar! a luxury car without pay the cost of "Luxury"cars. We purchased it certified from a Jaguar dealer in Santa Monica. Have not had one single problem with it. We keep it mostly dealer serviced (Change oil, general revision) and it has really not cost me much in service. We've been very careful with his maintenance. Except for couple times we went to San Francisco we don't use in long commutes that's the reason of his 67600 miles during all these years. Magnificent acceleration power. Very save. Beautiful interior, leather seats as new, extremely comfortable. Deluxe console with a fantastic Navigation system. Very comfortable trunk. It is AWD and handles great in snow or in rain. I would recommend this car to anyone. Luxury car without pay to much. |

Jay Leno hits the road in a 1951 Jaguar XK 120 Hot Rod
Thu, Feb 12 2015The 1951 Jaguar XK120 featured in this episode of Jay Leno's Garage might look vaguely like a classic Jag roadster at first, but underneath this cat is something completely different. It was built by Leno's buddy Jason Len of XK's Unlimited when he grew tired of keeping these convertibles stock, and this aluminum-bodied beast was the result. Practically the only major Jaguar part left is the engine. It's a tuned 3.8-liter inline six from an E-Type with Weber carbs that makes an estimated 300 horsepower out of some gorgeous side-exit exhausts. The mill is backed up to a BorgWarner five-speed manual. However, the big surprise is the chassis. In place of Jag's original solution, Len has a custom tubular space frame that he claims sheds some 1,000 pounds over the stock example. There are still some classic Jaguar touches left, though, such as the fin over the driver's head that is reminiscent of the D-Type, and both the wheels and gauges are replicas based on that classic racer. Of course the best part is watching Jay drive this Jag hot rod. This big cat really knows how to purr.
Xcar weighs in on the five best-sounding modern cars
Fri, Jul 24 2015Getting behind the wheel of a well-balanced vehicle can be a wonderfully visceral experience, thanks to the combined feeling of things like the weight of the steering, the bite of the brakes, and, of course, the roar of the engine. Unfortunately, many of the sensations of driving require actually being in the driver's seat to understand them, but thankfully the intoxicating noise of a beautifully tuned internal combustion engine can be shared with everyone. In a new video, Xcar shares their opinion on the five best-sounding modern performance cars. The list is a symphony of horsepower. As opposed to keeping all of the vehicles brand new, Xcar actually picks a few that are recently off the market. They're all definitely champs, though. While the list itself is well stocked, you might be able to argue with the specific order, and it would be nice to hear a few participants from outside of Europe for a collection like this one, too. No matter. Every listener is sure to find something they like in the bunch, though. Turn up the volume and enjoy.
