Newest Spectre trailer shows DB10, car chases, awesomeness

It's not due in theaters until November and it's not like we've detected any weaknesses yet, but here we are with another trailer for the upcoming James Bond film, Spectre. That is not a complaint, because it looks like it's going to be, as one YouTuber said, "Spectretacular!" We digress. This time we get a little more of the Aston Martin DB10, including the top line for the spec sheet: Q says it will do 0-60 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds. Putting on the hat that lets us sincerely debate totally fictitious facts in a totally fictitious universe, we don't think that's fast enough to stay away from the villain's Jaguar C-X75, but it's not like Bond needs to when he's got flamethrowers. So there. You 'll find the latest bout of awesome in the clip above, and look for all the throwback cues. Christoph Waltz dresses like one Ernst Stavro Blofeld and uses the same interior decorator. Bad guy Dave Bautista in a three-piece suit is remarkably reminiscent of Oddjob, and there are various nods to On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Enjoy. Jaguar confirms 575-hp F-Type Project 7 for Goodwood debut

Two days ago, Jaguar announced it had something special in store for the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend. Then yesterday images of that special creation, the F-Type Project 7, leaked out. And now, as promised, Coventry has released the full details on the ultimate F-Type to date. And its even better than we expected.
The production version of the concept revealed last year, the F-Type Project 7 celebrates the 60th anniversary of the D-Type by borrowing some of that legendary roadster's design cues, right down to the rear fin and British Racing Green livery with white racing stripes.
Of course the Project 7 is more than just a retro appearance package. The bespoke speedster packs a version of Jaguar's prolific 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with 575 horsepower - 25 more than the F-Type R Coupe - to make it the Leaping Cat marque's most powerful production car to date. Mated to Coventry's familiar eight-speed automatic transmission, that's said to be enough to propel the Project 7 to 60 in 3.8 seconds en route to an electronically limited top speed of 186 miles per hour. Keeping all that power and pace in check and on the road are such features as carbon ceramic brakes, a full complement of carbon-fiber aero components, electronic differential and brake-based torque vectoring system.

Jaguar F-Type Coupe proves sexy can't be disguised

Jaguar's new F-Type is a pretty potent little pouncer. And while we do love a good roadster, many of us at Autoblog are perhaps more excited about the upcoming hardtop version of Jag's stylish new entry-level sports car. Why? Because even here in heavily camouflaged prototype form, the thing looks really, really good - the sleek roofline blending rather nicely into the F-Type's shapely rump, allowing for better distinction of its pronounced hips over the rear wheel wells.
Mechanically speaking, the F-Type Coupe should be identical to its droptop sibling. That means the supercharged 3.0-liter V6 and 5.0-liter V8 engine lineup should carry over unchanged, though we've heard rumors about a four-cylinder application as well. There's also talk of hotter R, R-S or R-S GT models coming down the pipeline, and based on what we've experienced in things like the XKR-S, we certainly can't deny the allure of such a model.
It's unclear exactly when Jaguar will show the production F-Type Coupe (at the Frankfurt Motor Show, perhaps?), but the car is expected to go on sale sometime in 2014. Check it out in our latest spy gallery, above.
