You will enjoy driving this 2001 Safire blue s- type 4.0 Jaguar. It drives like new. Good tires, recently serviced with new spark plugs and a synthetic oil change. It as around 91,000 miles, but you would never know it. There is a bit of paint damage on the back bumper passenger side, someone apparently bumped into it, perhaps with a hitch ball? This was my wife's car, she bought a new one because she recently had an issue where she now needs hand controls. Her loss is your gain. Good luck bidding. Don't hesitate to ask me questions.

Jaguar rolls out 2014 XJ updates
Tue, 20 Aug 2013It may be an uphill battle with Mercedes-Benz having rolled out its all-new S-Class, but in an effort to entice more customers towards its flagship sedan, Jaguar has announced a series of enhancements for the XJ.
A number of upgrades aim to make the long-wheelbase model that much more accommodating, with new airline-style rear seats that recline, massage and optimize the headroom in the back. The rear suspension has also been recalibrated for comfort, and there's a new optional Meridian sound system with a Conversation Assist feature that uses microphones in the headliner to pick up occupants' voices and pipe them through the speakers to support the art of conversation in motion.
The engine range carries over unchanged, but each engine is now mated to an eight-speed automatic with an available stop/start system which Jaguar says takes less time to restart the engine than it takes for the driver to move his or her right foot from brake to gas. Jaguar Buys World's Largest Collection Of British Classic Cars

Jaguar's Special Operations division announced today it has bought the world's largest collection of classic British cars. The 543 cars had belonged to wealthy dental entrepreneur Dr. James Hull, who sold the entire collection to the British automaker for $170 million dollars. Jaguar scored 130 of its own vehicles in the lot, including a XK, SS, C, D and E-types, XJ as well as a few rare Land Rovers, according to Road & Track. The division that bought the cars is not only responsible for the heritage museum, but also for special projects. Special Operations finished the 18-car run of the lightweight E-types, albeit 50 years late.
