This is a 1972 Jaguar XKE (E-Type) OTS Roadster – Series III Convertible.

It is a remarkably beautiful car and turns heads every time it’s outside.

This is a low mileage car with about 47K on the odometer.

The 1972 model year was the 1st full production year for the new V12 configuration.

I’ve owned this Jaguar for about 11 years.  It has been garage kept through my ownership and never been in the rain.  I seldom drove the car in my 11+ years of ownership.  It is in excellent unrestored condition with paint being done by the prior owner.  There is no rust on the car and the body and undercarriage is straight with no accidents or damage.  Overall it is an excellent clean original and unrestored example.  All numbers matching with original engine, transmission, and drivetrain.  It has original real wire wheels with knock-off hubs.  This beautiful roadster is an automatic and has factory air conditioning.   I have a clean title for the car.

Interior is all original and unrestored.  Leather seats show some wear however, are in great shape.  Carpet and dash are in excellent condition.

Exterior is in great shape as well.  There is no rust on this car.  Under bonnet is clean and rust free.  Boot is rust free as well.  No rust in tire well or rear quarter areas.  Includes wire wheel spare with original jack, handle, knock-off wrench and hammer.  All original boot liners and covers

The convertible top is original and in excellent shape for a 40+ years old!  The top mechanism works perfectly and the top overall looks great.  The rear window is a bit yellow however still provides visibility.  The original tonneau cover is also included and is in perfect condition.

I also have the original owner’s manual and several other books that I will include with the purchase. There is one original key and I have a blank WASO key that will also be included (no longer produced). I have some spare parts that I purchased many years ago that I will also include.  I have a clean title for the car. Car has been tuned by local British car shop; new plugs, points, rotor, cap, and plugs.  Starts and runs great.

The only items that have been replaced are the battery and starter.  The starter is a new high torque type and works great.  I have the original factory starter that will be included will the car as well.

Jaguar history

In 1971, the Jaguar E-Type Series III introduced a V12 engine to the model. Jaguar called it the "Ultimate Cat" and advertised the its inherent smoothness and absence of engine noise. The small block V12 displaced 5.3 liters and produced 314 horsepower. Along with the new engine, the body entire car was lengthened for additional cabin space. Along with the longer 105-inch wheelbase, the body had flared wheel arches, revised bumpers, and a large scoop under the front grill. Inside the V12 had an entirely new interior with new reclining seats, a center console, new door panels and a revised steering wheel. The dashboard retained much of the Series II layout, but included the 2+2 stowage areas above the floorwells.

2019 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 First Drive Review | Cat track fever

Mon, Mar 18 2019

It doesn't take long for the cognoscenti to spot me. At stoplights, street corners, and parking lots, the 2019 Jaguar XE SV Project 8's swollen bodywork and park bench-sized tail attract the fanboys like iron to a magnet. My Velocity Blue tester is one of the few Project 8 cars in the States, and I can't remember the last modern Jaguar with so much head-turning charisma. If you're not up to speed, the Project 8 is Jaguar's surprise salvo into sedan madness. And Jag didn't half-ass it, either: it's Jag's biggest engine – a 592-horsepower, supercharged 5.0-liter V8 – stuffed into their smallest steed, the compact XE. Think Aston Martin V12 Vantage, AC Cobra 427, et al. Aiding downforce is a wing that delivers 269 pounds of downforce at 186 mph, so much that Jaguar had to reinforce the trunklid to prevent it from denting at high speeds. There's a flat underbody for reduced lift, and lightweight carbon fiber and aluminum body panels replacing all but the front door skins and roof. The purposeful theme is carried into the cabin, with snug racing buckets up front and seating limited to four. The boy racer cues bely some serious equipment. It's 68 lbs lighter than the next-lightest SE, the 380-hp S AWD supercharged V6. There's also a whole lot of tightening throughout, from the spring rates to the firmer engine mounts. In fact, the stiffening feels like it's been cranked to 11 – even in Comfort mode, the ride is taut and sometimes jarring, never quite feeling at ease enough. If you dig feeling every last ripple in the tarmac, it's wonderful, but anyone seeking a wallowy, coddling ride will find the Project 8 too much. The Project 8's razor sharp feedback begs you to drive on public roads like you're lapping Nardo or the Nurburbring – two of the circuits where the car was developed. But despite its legit origins, dicing such an overtly extroverted car through traffic can also be an enormous social liability. Go-fast sticker graphics? Check. Ginormous wing? Yep. Banana yellow brake calipers? Duh. This is weaponized transport for the street, enough to make the meekest driver look like he or she has something to prove. The Project 8's Alcantara-trimmed interior compliments the aggressive exterior, as do the snug-fitting seats, which use magnesium frames for weight savings (non-U.S. markets go a step further, with carbon fiber seats with four point harnesses). Squeeze the accelerator, and the XE responds with a shove and a snort even from low RPMs.

Which is hotter, Lana Del Rey or the Jaguar F-Type?

Fri, 15 Feb 2013

Lana Del Rey's "Burning Desire" video, the first musical collaboration between Jaguar and its hired songstress, is half music video, half long-form lifestyle commercial for the 2014 F-Type. If you like Del Rey channeling glamorous fifties fame as she lays down vocals of sensuous, languid dolor over images of black-and-white yesteryears, you'll like this song off of her new EP, Paradise.
We think the appearance of a red and brand-new Jaguar, though, is incongruous - either Del Rey or Jaguar is the anachronism, take your pic. That's not to say it's not beautiful, however, so enjoy the combination in the video below.

Jaguar C-X17 resurfaces in China with gold finish, five-seat cabin [w/video]

Sun, 24 Nov 2013

Some concept cars make the rounds of the auto shows and are then retired. But a number of automakers are showing that a fresh coat of paint can go a long way towards rejuvenating a show car and giving it a new lease on life - at least as far as the auto show circuit is concerned. Lexus did that recently with the LF-LC concept, initially unveiling it in red at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, then repainting it a dark shade of blue for the subsequent shows in Australia and LA. Mini did the same with the Rocketman concept. And now Jaguar has done it again with its C-X17.
Initially unveiled in electric blue at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Jaguar then rolled the crossover out again in liquid silver for the Dubai Motor Show earlier this month. Now the concept is back again at the Guangzhou Motor Show in China with a fresh coat of rose gold.
Looking decidedly more luxurious than the previous iterations, this gilded C-X17 concept also bears another change: while the previous versions featured a four-seat cabin, this one has been redone with a more conventional five-seat configuration that more buyers would likely go for. It's also got a new interactive infotainment system and another system that warns passengers of pedestrians or cyclists approaching from the rear before they open the door. Check it out in the high-res image gallery above and the video clip below for a closer look.
