AWESOME CAR !!!!
I am selling this car for an elderly friend who has no access to Ebay. He has owned this Jaguar for almost 20 years and has only put 5000 miles on it during that time. They have been " babied " miles as well. He has reached the time where some of his collection must go so sadly this is one of them. I drove the car so that I could accurately describe it. It has a LOT of power, and drives nicely, with all 4 gears shifting smoothly and effortlessly. The clutch is very good and you don't need both feet on it to use it, like a lot of older cars do. It handles extremely well, and is a pleasure to drive. If you want to be noticed, this car will do it. Here is a list of upgrades and work done. All of the original parts come with the car as well. Triple 45 DCOE side draft webber carburetors ( still have originals ) New Dayton wire wheels with "knock ons " 7 1/2 inch rears , 7 inch fronts with new P205 / R15 tires. ( still have original wheels ) Full cylinder head rebuild and upgrade, extensive premium engine, cooling, transmission and hydraulics systems upgrades by Terry's Jaguar of Ohio. This car is in very good condition, but still needs small things done to bring it to show condition. There is a small amount of rust in the battery box, and very small bubbles in the lower door panel. The floor panels were replaced some years ago. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like. The car is available to view in Winston Salem NC If you have a rating of 10 or less, please message me BEFORE bidding or I will have to cancel your bid. Sorry but I have been bitten too many times. Happy bidding |

Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations could build standalone models
Sun, Mar 8 2015Jaguar Land Rover may be set to turn its Special Vehicle Operations division into something much bigger than a mere in-house tuner. Bloomberg spoke to the head of JLR's high-performance, customization outfit, John Edwards, who hinted that his team may move beyond simply modifying F-Types, Range Rovers and the like. "We're certainly looking at that, and we've got the capability to do that," Edwards told AN. "Is there an opportunity for us to do a completely standalone car? Maybe." Such a move into full-scale, standalone models would be a big step, particularly for a division that's still kind of in its infancy. Bloomberg references the success of Mercedes-AMG, but the German division has had the benefit of decades of growth. AMG spent years and years building high-performance versions of all manner of mainstream Mercedes vehicles, before moving onto cars like the SLS AMG and AMG GT, which have no mainstream analog. In other words, AMG had a long time to develop a reputation building high-performance vehicles that people know and recognize before it moved into building vehicles of its own. We aren't entirely convinced that SpecOps wouldn't benefit from taking a similar approach, delivering additional SVR vehicles, like the rumored XE SVR, before striking out on its own. We'd like to know what you think, though. Is it already time for Special Vehicle Operations to build standalone models, or should it learn to walk before it runs by modifying more of Jaguar Land Rover's existing product. Have your say in Comments. Related Video:
Playmate of the Year Raquel Pomplun gets a Jaguar F-Type
Sun, 12 May 2013The Jaguar F-Type is slinking its way into vastly divergent corners of the celebrity world. Lana del Rey is its songstress, Englishman-playing-American-terrorist Damien Lewis lead its cinematic debut in Desire, San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick gets the athletic endorsement, and now it's just been driven behind the "Adults Only" doors at the Playboy Mansion: Raquel Pomplun was gifted a year's use of an F-Type for being named 2013 Playmate of the Year.
There's a video below of Pomplun and her F-Type getting 'camera ready,' and a press release below that in case you want to, you know, "read the article."
Jaguar XE spied flying over London
Mon, 08 Sep 2014We only have a few hours to wait before Jaguar finally, and fully, unveils its oft-teased XE sedan. But the Internet is no respecter of secrets, as these very last-minute spy shots make clear.
Presumably being airlifted to its spectacular debut location near Earl's Court in London, the BMW 3-Series-fighting XE was captured mid-flight, and completely undisguised.
The images are understandably a bit blurry, but they do confirm that DNA from the current Jag lineup is transitioning nicely to the new small luxury sedan. The XE shows a stance typical of the brand, with a relatively short rear overhang, and big, boldly styled wheels. The bluff front end is reminiscent of if the XF and XJ, and, as we know from earlier teasers, will wear a "growler" logo over a black grille.
