2016 Jaguar F-Type R at Monticello | AutoblogVR

This week we indulged in a bit of fun. We took one of our favorite sports cars, the 2016 Jaguar F-Type to Monticello Motor Club north of New York. Senior Editor Greg Migliore selected the 550-horsepower R variant and pushed this Jag to the limit at one of North America's prettiest tracks. He reveled in the supercharged V8's power and sound as he embraced Monticello's curves and long straightaways. Meanwhile, Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski had a similar experience. Kind of. He lapped Monticello in the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR and then went off-roading at a challenging course nearby. It's the best of both worlds. He gets to soak in the blown V8 – but also gets to splatter a little mud. Jaguar's first ever production EV is finally here

Transcript: Jaguar goes all-electric with the production 2019 I-Pace. The 2019 Jaguar I-Pace has been revealed in Graz, Austria ahead of its public debut in Geneva. Originally revealed back in 2016 as a concept, the EV has been heavily influenced by the C-X75 supercar concept. The I-Pace is Jaguar’s first all-electric vehicle and will include a 90 kWh battery with a range of 240 miles. Jaguar says it can recharge to 80% in just 40 minutes on a 100-kW DC fast charger. The all-wheel-drive SUV has an output of 349 hp and 512 lb-ft of torque with the help of twin Jaguar-designed concentric motors. A Touch Pro Duo infotainment system comes standard and includes a 10-inch upper and a 5.5-inch lower touchscreen. The I-Pace software will also benefit from over-the-air updates. Pricing will be announced March 6th with U.S. customers receiving the I-Pace in the second half of 2018. Jaguar revealed their anticipated I-Pace EV in Austria, ahead of its public debut in Geneva. Highlights from the Goodwood Festival of Speed, including the McLaren P1 and a Ford Transit running the hill

The sole purpose of this post is as a time-waster, and since you shouldn't have to work to waste time, we've done it for you. In the numerous videos below you'll find cars that have lately been in the news tramping all over the grounds of Lord March's estate in Goodwood, England.
There's the McLaren P1 heading up the hill, the Jaguar Project 7, then a casually-driven Porsche 917 followed by an even-more-casually-driven Porsche 956, topped off by a Porsche 936 that is anything but casually driven. The next round is the flame-spitting Peugeot 405 T16 Pikes Peak from Climb Dance, a camera mounted on the Peugeot RCZ R after it showing you what the whole, uninterrupted run up the hill looks like. For a real head-turner, we couldn't embed it but there's Andy Reid blasting up the hill in a Ford Transit Supervan with a Cosworth 3000 V6 engine.
The modern racing contingent has Allan McNish doing the hill in the Audi R18 e-tron quattro he used to win Le Mans and Lewis Hamilton making lots of tire smoke in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas MGP-W02. For comparison, that's followed by Nick Heidfeld's record-setting run up the hill in 1999 in the McLaren MP4/14 . The classic racing contingent is headlined by 71-year-old Giacomo Agostini on an MV Agusta.
