1999 Isuzu Vehicross on 2040-cars
Dallas, Pennsylvania, United States
For sale is my 1999 Vehicross. It is strong and smooth running vehicle The vehicle has no rust, all mechanics are in great shape. It has recently gone a rigid PA inspection and the onle problem was exhaust. The current system can be repaired or new is available This woudn,t prevent you from driving it home. Just has some leaks where po replaced flex pipes with solid sections about 8" long. The truck runs, shifts, drives and steers as it should and stop great The wheels are nice and the tires are very good with an agressive tread design The car is not without flaws and here they are. The front bumper is damaged but can be fixed by someone with more talent than I, or, new ones are available. Some clear is peeling off the hood and left front fender, not a super big deal because of very little exposed metal plus it is black. The mechanic just told me the a/c compressor is noisy and will ne to be replaced, but they fit a lot of cars and are plentiful. The air stills blows cold. Now the baddest of the bad the drivers seai has some cracks on the seat bottom and the passenger seat shows wear, The rest of the interior is excellent. All in all it is a very good example of this type vehicle. I am retired and have a small lot too keep me busy while my wife still works I buy mostly cars I think are neat, drive them for awile and then hopefully sell and get another. If you are familiar with these you will not be dissapointed especially at the price. Any questions call Jim @ 570-301-9831.I require an immediate deposit of 250 thru paypal, balance at time of pickup or 14 days max. Thank you for lookinf and good luck. Jim Vehicle is sold as is but a warranty is availsble at buyer,s expense. Also I will help load if car is shipped or del'y is possible. the bright spots on seat pictures are not tears or damage but rather the sun shining in. Only rip is drivers bottom seat The pictures do NOT do this vehicle justice. It can be a top notch vehicle with not a lot of time and money.

GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics
Mon, 20 Aug 2012After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.

Florida man found dead inside SUV covered in parking tickets
Wed, Dec 7 2016A woman in Fort Lauderdale, FL, got a nasty shock last month when she discovered a corpse sitting at the wheel of a heavily ticketed SUV parked near the Broward County Courthouse. According to the Sun Sentinel, Carolyn White was walking down a street in Fort Lauderdale when she spotted something strange. An Isuzu Axiom with deeply tinted windows was parked at the curb festooned with parking tickets. Curious to find out how someone could get that many parking tickets, she went to investigate. "I was being nosy," she told the Sentinel. "I never let the meter man catch me. I never got a parking ticket and I wanted to know why somebody else got caught. And that's what made me look inside." When she approached the vehicle, she discovered more than just a pile of tickets under the wipers. An elderly man was sitting in the driver's seat, slumped face down over the center console between the seats, clutching a credit card in a still hand. "Oh my God, please tell me this man is not dead," was White's first thought, she told the paper. Unfortunately, he was. The Broward County Medical Examiner stated the man in the SUV, Jacob Morpeau of Miami, had been dead for quite some time when White discovered him. Records show that the Isuzu was ticketed in that space numerous times between November 12 and November 15, including twice in the space of three minutes the morning Morpeau's body was discovered. "I can understand why the meter person probably didn't see him from the driver's side," said White. "He was underneath the steering wheel, his head was in the middle of the seat, between the two seats. But you could see him on the passenger's side. That's how I seen him, from the sidewalk." Fort Lauderdale city officials declined to comment on the incident, but an email from the City Clerk's office stated that the $160 dollars racked up while Morpeau sat dead at the wheel of his SUV would be dismissed due to "extenuating circumstances". Japan may aid carmakers facing U.S. tariff threat
Wed, Sep 12 2018TOKYO — Japan is considering giving carmakers fiscal support including tax breaks to offset the impact from trade frictions with the United States and a sales-tax hike planned for next year, government sources told Reuters on Wednesday. Going into a second round of trade talks with the United States on Sept. 21, Japan is hoping to avert steep tariffs on its car exports and fend off U.S. demands for a bilateral free trade agreement that could put it under pressure to open politically sensitive markets, like agriculture. "If the trade talks pile pressure on Japan's car exports, we would need to consider measures to support the auto industry," a ruling party official said on condition of anonymity because of sensitivity of the matter. The auto industry accounts for about 20 percent of Japan's overall output and around 60-70 percent of the country's trade surplus with the United States, making it vulnerable to U.S. action against Japanese exports. Japan's biggest automakers and components suppliers fear they could take a significant hit if Washington follows through on proposals to hike tariffs on autos and auto parts to 25 percent. Policymakers also worry that an increase in the sales tax from 8 percent to 10 percent planned for October 2019, could cause a slump in sales of big-ticket items such as cars and home. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has twice postponed the tax hike after the last increase from 5 percent in 2014 dealt a blow to private consumption, which accounts for about 60 percent of the economy. To prevent a pullback in demand after the tax hike, the government may consider large fiscal spending later when it draws up its budget for next year, government sources said. "One option may be to greatly reduce or abolish the automobile purchase tax," one of the government sources said. The government is also considering cuts in the automobile tax and automobile weight tax to help car buyers, the source added.
