1976 Scout

I bought truck in 2011 and spent a good amount mechanically to make it road worthy.  I then got the Scout "bug" and built another one and don't need two of them.
The truck is very original and hasn't had anyone hack it up over the years.

The good:
The 304 is strong.  I don't know actual mileage (I was told it was rebuilt about 20K miles ago but I can't verify it) but it runs strong.  The truck would go 70 no problem although if you know Scouts anything over 50 get's a bit sketchy :).  It has an exhaust leak on one manifold.  I didn't care about fixing it but you can if you want.
The 727 Automatic has about 40K miles.  I came out out a 73 that was a farm use truck in NH.  That truck was never driven on the road or registered.  The guy I bought it from had a Terra and he wanted the 345 for his truck and didn't need the transmission.  The transmission shifts perfectly in all gears.  I changed the fluid and filter when I swapped it and it has no issues
The truck has dana 44s front and back.  I do not remember what the gears are.  I changed the seals on both and fluid as well.
The 4wheel drive works perfect and there is no issues with the transfer case.  I had custom shafts made as well.
I replaced the stock shifter with a B&M and I no longer have the stock shifter but the B&M works fine.
The power steering works.
The truck has power brakes as well but since it's been sitting for a bit the brakes may need to be done.  They are a cheap fix.
The dash in all intact no cracks.  Every single button and lever is there including the ash tray the cig lighter and the original radio.  That works when it feels like it.
The heat works on high and low
Every dash light I think all work but I don't remember
The gauges work except the odometer.  The truck shows 135K I think now but I don't know true mileage but I didn't really care when I bought it because it ran great
The wipers work (missing one but I think it's in the garage).  The sprayer works
The e brake hardware is all new
The glass is all good no cracks
The seats are not the same but they are good condition
I have black seat covers for both I just never installed the bottoms but have them and they go with the truck
The rear tires are good but the fronts need replacing (the pics show them flat but they are all full now and hold air)
The roof is in great shape no cracks and all the glass is perfect
The hatch is also in great shape - the roof light - hatch light and original wiring is still there
The wheels have surface rust but if you sandblasted them they would be fine for reuse
I have a clean title in my name for the truck

The bad:
If you are looking to build this truck and not just drive as is I would swap the tub.  I wouldn't bother doing all the body work it needs unless you love to grind and weld.  Its rotted and I laid sheet metal over the old floor and back floor but it was just pop riveted in I didn't bother welding it.  The rockers are replacements but just pop rivited in like the floor. The rear quarters and inner quarters are junk so like I said drive her as is or swap the tub and resuse all the mechanicals and frame etc
I think you could reuse the doors (the windows go up and down no problem) the fenders and the hood
The frame is rusty but straight and its solid but like I said if you are looking to build this truck I would sandblast it and replace and reuse some of the suspension components to make it perfect again.
I'd swap the bumpers they aren't the best
The windshield frame has a patch in the corner but you could reuse it with some minor welding
The rag joint needs to be swapped (about 125 bucks) and one break line needs to be done (about 25 bucks).  If I get enough for the truck I will fix them so the winner can drive the truck onto a trailer or a transporter can load it and not hit you with the "non running" charge they typically do.
The battery could use a charge but its only 2 years old

If you have any questions please let me know.  I have the truck for sale locally and reserve the right to sell locally and end auction early.

Thanks
