Don't miss this great opportunity to own one of the most popular Scout models that International produced. This Arizona Scout II was discovered and rescued from the southern desert and is in remarkably great condition considering its age and the harsh environment it was in. This Scout has the typical bumps and bruises that 4 wheeling can inflict but nothing major. It appears that the previous owner attempted to repair the bottom door rockers because the use of filler is evident. The vintage patina is very cool but would not require much to prepare for body and paint. The 2-barrel 345 starts and runs great. No strange noises from the valve train or smoke. The rear main is leaking but not uncommon for a Scout of this age. The mileage shows 68k and there is no way to verify how many times its rolled over. The following new items have been installed: new alternator, new water pump, new t-stat, new valve cover gaskets, new starter, new power steering pump & new brake proportioning valve. All fluids flushed and changed. The auto tranny was supposedly recently rebuilt but there is no way to confirm other than is works good and shifts fine. B&M aftermarket floor shifter. Dana's all around and new shocks. The Scout currently has a push button start and will require a new wiring harness. American Autowire has the best harnesses for under $300. The interior is in pretty good shape and original with the normal wear and tear. The back seat is in great shape and it sports a great looking roll bar. The Scout originally had A/C but there is no compressor under hood. . .the under dash unit is intact and inside the cab. The glass is perfect and even has the sought after sliders on the side windows. The 31" tires have plenty of tread left and the wheels are a nice aftermarket aluminum. The Scout is fun to drive and a great buy considering all you need is a wiring harness and some paint. This is a lot of Scout for a small amount of money and a great investment.
