The Beast. Highly desirable 1977 International Super Scout SSII. The car is super solid and reliable. You can hear the low rumble of the Headers and Flowmasters from some distance. I have owned this car for about 3 years and it always runs great and turns heads. It features a 33 gallon fuel tank, dual batteries, 4 wheel disk brakes, air compressor, power arc welder etc... This car can handle any adventure. It has an impressive list of features suitable for any post apocolyptic scenario. I put a few hundred miles on it per year. The engine was overhauled about 35k miles ago. The engine runs great.
In addition to the previous owners lengthy list of improvement (see below) I had the clutch replaced about two years ago. It runs great. The engine sounds great and has a terrific amount of torque. Driving stick on this car is a lot of fun! I had the car painted a neutral grey, and put in a radio (with iphone/usb port).
This is the list of improvements from the prevous owner.

-Custom water system. This is really cool but I never really tried it out. I have technical details of how it was put together but cant say whether it works or not. It has a 15 gallon water tank built into the right rear quarter panel General Ecology .5 micron water purifier. 4.5 gpm 12v marine automatic demand water pump keeps water system charged at 50psi when enabled from front dash.

-Custom Bimini top made from trampoline fabric for partial sun. this is awesome and every car should have this!!! its like driving along in a shady breeze. Really nice.
-Three separate LED work lights built into the hood, roll bar, and trunk.
In addition to the list the previous owner provided The car also has two fishing rod tubes built into the car, locking boxes under the seats, a hi jack, shovel, and axe. I am also including the treads found mounted on the hood. They are meant to be put under tires if you get stuck.
I have only used the car locally in the summertime. Its always been reliable. Great car for fun or a serious offroad advanture. The car is very well balanced. It was very well thought out. I am also including all the original documentation on the car in a binder that I got with the car. The car is being sold as-is. The car has passed NYS inspection for the year. $500 deposit is due at the end of auction. Please ask as many questions as you like. Serious bidders only. I can be reached at 212-920-0071.
