1977 International Scout Ii Base Sport Utility 2-door 5.0l on 2040-cars

 When was the last time you have seen one of these trucks? They are very RARE. Rivaled the Bronco back in the 70's these trucks are becoming harder and harder to find. My intention was to restore it but now have too many other projects and it just won't get done.

I drove to New York to buy this truck, Changed the starter in it and drove it as my daily driver for about 8 months and then one of calipers started leaking so i decided that was a good time to start disassembly and got the driver side fender, hood and grill components off.

It is all original and has the 304ci 2bl motor, 4 speed tranny. The frame is solid, but with most all scouts there is some serious rust on rockers and part of the floor boards. This is very common and patch panels are available through scout parts dealers and/or ebay. At this time the passenger door will not open and I think the locking mechanism is broken preventing it from disengaging.

The motor does smoke when first started so it would for sure need new valve seals, but my intention was to do a complete rebuild. The Speedometer shows 43,000 miles(I am sure its really 143,000)

As far as I can tell its complete with the exception of passenger side door panel and some small things here and there.

This vehicle will have to be TOWED since the caliper is leaking and the fender is off and I cannot deliver. Please ask any questions BEFORE using "Buy it Now"
