Selling for a friends Widow. Don't know a lot but will try to answer any questions
My Buddy searched for a good scout (condition/price) for about two years after selling his very off road oriented 66 Bronco.
His intention was to make a mild off road capable daily winter driver/Summer play truck.
We found this on in Bend Oregon (no salt) and was pretty much stock.
After it's purchase in December 2011 we flew out and drove it home to PA the first week of March 2012.
It performed very well with no oil use the entire trip and averaged 16+ MPG at highway speeds. 304 4spd
Upon getting it home the following was done:
- Steering shaft Rag link removed and replaced with IH Only Solid shaft
- Power steering pump replaced
- Power steering hoses replaced
- Steering box replaced with rebuilt unit
- Frame support for steering box (IH Only) installed (welded)
- Professionally installed 3" lift (IH Only)
- Reverse Shackle
- Bilstien Shocks
- New Wheels
- New Yokahama Tires (32")
Truck also has:
- New Seat covers
- New Headliner
- New Carpet
- New Door panels
Truck is a Silvery Blue older repaint over the original cream/yellow
Radio does not work
over 11,000 in it at this point excluding a lot of labor
also have manuals for it and I think all the stuff to install a/c
