This is a 1974 International Scout, with a 392 International V8, and a sprung over suspension. It is pre-smog.
The Good:
The suspension tracks straight on the road, and was done properly, with the knuckles cut and turned. It has a rebuilt 901 Chrysler transmission (similar to 472 torque flight), less than 300 miles on it. It has a reverse shackle kit installed. I am not sure the exact figure, but probably 8"-10" of lift. It has a 300T transfer case. The wheels are 36" military goodyears, and it comes with two extras that have 95% tread on them. Body is straight and true, very little rust and bondo. It has a DUI distributer ($450), Borgessen steering shaft, new power steering pump, almost all new brakes all around, new seals and bearings on the rear, factor roll cage, hard top, and bikini. Newer true dual flow master exhaust (sounds awesome).  I have a new but uninstalled wiring harness for it.  Because it is not finished it has seen very little off-load time--it has not been beaten like many of these trucks have.  It seats four, but the back seat folds up, giving you a little pick-up bed.  The frame has a steering box brace, basically a 1/4 inch thick piece of angle iron with bolts welded on the back of it that is married up to the frame to prevent the frame from warping when steering.  It has new floors front and back (rear floor is stainless). It has disc brakes in the front and drum in the back.  Its a project truck that runs and drives, though it needs some work.  I have been driving it until recently.  My plan from the start has been to make it into a daily driver that is very capable off-road. Clear title in hand.
The Bad:
The engine has been rebuilt, but was not run after the rebuild, sat for about 10 years. It has back-pressure, and I am not sure the reason why. The front drive shaft needs a CV joint as the angles change once you turn the knuckles.  The steering box leaks ($130 at Napa for a new one; its the reason I stopped driving it as I do not want to burn up the pump) .  The radiator needs to be replaced (coupling for the overflow hose is lose, could be soldered). Most of the gauges do not work, the wiring harness might fix this.  The top of the driver's seat has been chewed by a dog.  The T-joint for the rear brakes may need to be replaced.  The odometer was not hooked up when I bought the truck, I have put under 10,000 miles on it.  The paint is not perfect, and its not a show truck.
I have three kids and wife and we no longer fit in it, nor do I have the time to continue to work on it.  Its a really cool truck, not many out there.  I love it, but can't justify keeping it any longer.
No warranty expressed or implied.  It is for sale locally so I may end the auction early.
