1972 International Scout Ii Base Sport Utility 2-door 5.6l on 2040-cars
Milledgeville, Georgia, United States
I've owned this 4x4 72 scout for a couple of years and now have decided to sell it. it's in overall good condition for its age, but it does have some issues. mileage reads 36320, but i'm assuming thats really 136320. The truck runs good and drives. The brakes work but must be pumped , so i'm assuming it needs a new master cylinder. The carb needs a rebuild. I'm pretty sure it's running rich and the part that squirts gas in for cold starts isn't working so the eaisest way to start it after it's been sitting is to pour a small amount of gas in the carb. It starts right up that way or without it as long as it hasn't sat for a long time. Almost all the vacuum lines have been capped. It was that way when i got it and i never got around to figuring out where they go. All the guages work except the gas guage.headlights and tail lights work. The body of the truck is in good shape and pretty solid. the floors have been patched and are solid. the truck bed part of the floor looks pretty new. the only spot on the body that i know of that has rust damage is a 3x3 area under the battery tray. the top is in good shape but has a few rust areas: two small bubbles on the drip rail on back, back pass. corner where top bolts to bodyon the inside of the truck, couple of spots smaller than dime size underneath where weatherstripping goes on driver side. one of the hinges is bent so the back window doesn't seal right. the interior is in decent shape. the carpet looks good. the front seats could use a good cleaning but are in good shape, no rips. the back seat is combo vinyl/cloth from 72. door panels are ok. i've tried to mention everything that i feel would be considered important. please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. |
