Hello, for sale is my fully restored "ground up restoration" 1970 Scout 800-a, SR-2. I hope the photos do this truck justice. The Scout is in absolutely fantastic shape. It's a original California truck and has spent its entire life here in California. There are no rust issues, the Scout has been very well maintained its entire life. I receive complements on this truck everyday. The Scout has its numbers matching 304 engine which is very strong and sound. I have no problem getting up to 70mph on the freeway. The mileage is original at "60780". The Transmission is a T-18, 4-speed with 3.55 gears. It has been professionally converted to a Throttle Body fuel injection with custom chip from Hamilton. It has computer controlled timing so no waiting for the Scout to warm up, just get in and go. New Battery/cables, rebuilt kingpin bearings, new tie rods the ends are from scout madness. New shocks, new leaf spring bushings. All new belts and hoses, new heater core. Rebuilt break master cylinder, all new break hard and soft lines. Completely rebuilt transfer case and transmission seal with gasket kit. Rebuilt clutch with resurfaced flywheel, new rear main seal. The oil pan gasket is new, also the valve cover gaskets are new. Both factory gas tanks were removed and boiled out professional at a radiator shop. The wheels are original chrome and the tires are also new with approx. 1000 miles of use. The interior of the Scout has been completely redone in a Camel colored Vinyl, which corresponds very well with the newly painted exterior color of Mocha Steel. The windows have been tinted with a med. 20% tint. The Scout doesn't currently have a radio installed but I do have the factory radio that will be sold with the Scout. This is truly an outstanding truck and will be loads of fun as a great daily driver or for off road trips. The Scout is Registered and I have the clear California Title in hand. Just a very cool vintage SUV. I have the Scout Listed locally and don't think it'll last long. I'm very motivated to sale, so all reasonable offers will be considered.
