1968 Scout 800 with factory 266 V8 and 4x4

If you're looking for a solid IH Scout 800 with factory V8, here it is!
original paint inside and out- has a very nice patina.

266 V8- turns over easily with a battery (not included), but will need carb work. I have pre-oiled the engine to avoid cam bearing damage. When cranking it makes a strange sound. While running it sounds fine and has good oil pressure. I have not investigated the sound. I have the carb pulled off now and a new rebuild kit for it. I pulled the starter and lubed it. The Scout is sold as a non-running vehicle. I got it to run, pulled the carb to rebuild it, and lost interest and time.

3 speed transmission. The clutch moves the scout under the engine's power. Transfer case shifts as it should.
new backup lenses
the steel fuel tanks are in great shape and have been pulled for rust inspection. They are ready to be painted and re-installed.
factory low back bucket seats

As with any old truck, it's been used and will need some TLC. The windshield needs to be replaced-the one in it is just resting in the frame, the window regulators need to be cleaned and lubed, etc.

The brakes sorta work, but will need to be gone through.
It will need tires.

I have a notarized bill of sale from when I bought it and a bill of sale from when that buyer bought it. It is sold only with a bill of sale that I will have notarized.
