Hi.  You are bidding on a 2013 Infiniti G37X AWD Navigation with 8 miles.  Yes 8 miles!!  It had a sticker price of  $44, 500.00 without any dealers markup.  It still has all the wrap around body protective white tape. It is BRAND NEW and it must have just gotten off the transporter. The car exterior is in great shape and interior is in fantastic shape as you can see it in the pictures. The vehicle sustained water damage to the vehicle.  This is exactly how I got several months ago from an auction. No cleaning needed to be done, all original. I had water taken out under the carpet, had dehumidifier going, and then kept the doors open all summer. I do not see any mold at all. Plastic is still around the seats and the around the doors. I could guess and tell you all about how much the water was in the vehicle, but you can be the judge. Radio, satellite radio, Navigation all work fine. I assume perhaps about the seat level.  Look at the original air filters under the hood. Filters and air ways are pristine.

This car is for sale locally so I reserve auction to be stopped at anytime was it goes to first person to pay for the vehicle in full. If you like, make me an offer. Sometimes, it is very difficult to get back with you, but I do the best I can after working hours.

Car is being sold as is damaged with salvage title. There is a airbag module under the carpet that will need to be replaced. The car is being sold as is water damaged. The car is for sale locally and we do reserve the right to end the auction early. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have. You can look on car-part or on www ebay com for great deals on new and used parts. The seats motors does not work on the car as with most flood cars, not all the windows work (likely need a switch or fuse). Locks seems okay, but with the proximity key, it is really hard to tell.  I bought a fuse box from 2009, but I think fuse box probably need to be replaced with a newer version, i.e. 2013. For example, the radio was not working, so I bought radios from Ebay to get it to work (bought 2 radios because 2009 does not work on 2013), but found out that it was just the fuse. I feel that electronic is tough for me. I did replace motors on the radiator with a used one. I also replace starter with a used one. Both of these need to be verified.

I tried to take pictures with car lights off and with car lights on. I had some difficulties with flash on and flash off but I hope I captured it. The dash board looks great but was not able to capture it bright due to flash.  If you need additional pictures, please let me know. Here is a site where they describe how to fix flood infiniti G37. (Ebay will not a link) so look up on google for "infinitihelp.com forum 2012 G37 flood damage repairs".

Engine fluid is clean when checked it when I acquired the vehicle. I changed the fuse box and BCM and took the car to a dealership to have programmed. I also wanted two keys instead of one.  They stated that I needed IPDM so I approved (long story). They also put in a new battery without my approval. My original battery was perfectly fine, it just needed a charge. They also gave me a lecture on a salvaged vehicles, etc. ...after $1800, nothing was changed to the car. My second key was not even programmed.   In some ways, it is my fault.  I was really busy at my office due to position change, additional responsibilities, and I could not think straight. Work is putting a lot of pressure on me, my wife wants her garage space back, and I've decided to get a control of my life. I even sold my '64 mustang convertible... Even writing this frustrates me. I did not count all the receipts, but I believe I have over $19k in this.

This beautiful 2013 G37 was issued a flood branded title due to heavy rain caused flood in the dealership and currently have Salvage Title. This vehicle can be registered in any state just like any other title after an inspection.  There is no visible sign of water damage inside or outside the vehicle. The car looks fantastic.  THIS CAR DOES NOT RUN at this time. I believe it just need a little bit more work. Electronics are not aligned. It seems to be not communicating with one another. Great for someone who can spend some time getting this beautiful car on the road.

Thank you very much for looking and good luck bidding.

John

2015 Italian Grand Prix is smoke, mirrors, stalls, and stewards

Mon, Sep 7 2015

For the first day-and-a-half of the Italian Formula One Grand Prix weekend, everything went to blueprint: Mercedes in front, Ferrari lurking, everyone else scrambling in their usual orders behind. Then qualifying came, and someone stirred the pot. About the only thing we expected was for Lewis Hamilton to put his Mercedes-AMG Petronas on pole position, the 11th time he's done it this year. He did it with a brand-new specification engine, one that represents not only an evolution in components, but also in power unit philosophy. Kimi Raikkonen lines up in second. It's been a long time since we read those words; the Iceman hasn't been on the first row since the 2013 Chinese Grand Prix, when he put his Lotus second on the grid behind... Lewis Hamilton. Raikkonen lined up just ahead of a Ferrari at that China race, then driven by Fernando Alonso. In Italy this weekend, he lined up in front of the Ferrari driven by his teammate, Sebastian Vettel, who qualified third. Both Ferraris benefitted from an upgraded power unit, ending a front-row drought for the scuderia that goes all the way back to Monaco in 2009 Germany in 2012. Nico Rosberg has a lot of work to do from fourth in the second Mercedes-AMG Petronas. Mercedes discovered a problem with Rosberg's engine but couldn't figure out the cause, so he reverted to the previous-spec engine he used in Belgium, one that's six races old. The lack of power hurt. Williams teammates Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas took fifth and sixth, with Massa seemingly given a team-ordered helping hand. Williams told Bottas to tow Massa down the front straight, giving Massa a blistering time in the first sector. Then Bottas did it again, ensuring he would line up behind Massa. The first Sahara Force India of Sergio Perez nabbed seventh, three places ahead of teammate Nico Hulkenberg in tenth, with Romain Grosjean in the Lotus behind Perez in eighth. Marcus Ericsson in the Sauber qualified ninth, but some clumsy driving saw him impede Hulkenberg twice. The stewards penalized Ericsson with a three-place grid penalty and two points on his superlicense, so Hulkenberg inherited ninth and Pastor Maldonado in the second Lotus inherited tenth. We hardly saw Hamilton during the race, because he led from the start, worked up a larger gap to second place on every lap, and didn't give up the lead for the whole event.

Infiniti SUV recall marks latest chapter in Takata airbag saga

Fri, 31 Oct 2014

Automotive parts maker Takata is having a rough year with millions of vehicles equipped with its airbag inflators being recalled. However, it looks like there might still be problems with the company's quality control, if a new recall by Infiniti is any indication.
The Japanese luxury brand is recalling 1,912 total units of the 2013 Infiniti QX56 and 2014 QX80 in North America because of a manufacturing flaw with their Takata-supplied inflators for the driver's side front airbag. Of those, 1,848 are in the United States, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Specifically, the outer baffle could be the wrong component and cause too much pressure to build up inside. According to documents submitted to NHTSA, it's possible in a crash for the part to rupture spraying metal shrapnel at occupants. At this time, Infiniti has not had any reports of this actually happening to drivers.
While this problem sounds nearly identical to the issue affecting millions of earlier vehicles, it must be noted that this is a different fault. According to the notice being sent to dealers on NHTSA's website: "This particular Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign is unrelated to two earlier campaigns that involved Takata passenger front air bag inflators on some older model Infiniti vehicles. This issue involves a much newer inflator and is a different, more isolated, Takata quality control issue."

US buyers show little interest in big hybrids

Sat, May 10 2014

The idea of producing large, luxury-vehicle hybrids is turning into a "what were they thinking?" exercise in futility, USA Today reports. General Motors is discontinuing hybrid versions of the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon SUVs, while Mercedes-Benz and Toyota's Lexus division are doing the same with their S-Class hybrid and LS hybrid sedans, respectively. The culprit? Big price increases for fuel economy improvements that border on the unimpressive. Granted, the Escalade hybrid gets 31 percent better fuel economy than the standard version, but that still maps out to a combined fuel-efficiency rating of just 21 miles per gallon. That can be seen as a worthwhile increase, if it didn't cost over $8,000 extra. The 2014 Escalade Hybrid, for example, starts at $74,425 while the non-hybrid can be had for $66,295. Meanwhile, the Lexus full-size hybrid costs $6,000 more than the regular version but only gets 1-2 mpg better combined fuel economy. The result of all these high costs? Low sales. Through April, GM sold 82 of its hybrid SUVs and pickups, down from 541 a year earlier. And the LS hybrid sales were in single-digit territory for April. That isn't stopping Lexus from promoting its hybrids as the right solution (with the wrong facts), though. There are still automakers giving big hybrid vehicles a shot, though. Nissan's Infiniti division is selling a hybrid version of its QX60 and says an impressive 10 percent of QX60 buyers choose the hybrid, which costs just $3,000 more. Looks like money talks.
