2006 Infiniti Fx35 on 2040-cars

I have owned this 2006 Infiniti FX35 for about 6 years. I bought it used with about 5,000 miles at the time. It is now just over 79,000 miles. The car is in good condition and runs very well. The only mechanical problem I have ever had was a bad battery. The car has had routine oil, filter, and transmission fluid changes.
Here is a repeat of the condition description: The exterior is in good shape and the vehicle has never been in an accident nor through any repair shops other than routine maintenance. The paint is good, and the vehicle has been kept in a garage. The paint does show normal wear, scuffs, and minor scratches. There is one scratch on the right side that barely indents the metal. The tires are worn to the legal limit and need immediate replacement. The wheels are in good shape with normal scuff marks. The interior is clean and has never been used by smokers nor by pets. The driver's seat does has a couple of tears in the leather/upholstery on the left side. The interior has signs of normal wear. There is also some tear to the foam rubber type insulation found at the floor of the driver's side that makes a seal with the front door. Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Concept bows again, now with more GT-R [w/video]
Tue, 04 Mar 2014Think back to the 2014 Detroit Auto Show and you'll remember the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge concept - a sedan that showed the potential design direction for a seriously high-performance take on the Japanese automaker's new entry-level luxury sedan. And while the show car we saw in Detroit was all well and good, it lacked something. Specifically, an engine. Kind of an important thing for a performance concept, right?
Here in Geneva, Infiniti rolled out that same Q50 Eau Rouge, but with one major modification: the sedan now boasts a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 under its hood - the same engine that's found in the Nissan GT-R supercar. In the Eau Rouge, this V6 is tuned to produce 560 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque, sent to the ground via the GT-R's all-wheel-drive system. Of course, this super-hot Q50 is still purely a concept, but Infiniti says that the potent engine underhood will allow the sedan to sprint to 60 miles per hour in less than four seconds, on its way to a top speed of over 180 mph.
The oft-fabled "four-door GT-R" still isn't confirmed for production, so for now, all we can do is cross our fingers (and toes). Check out the Q50 and its new beating heart in the gallery, above, and scroll below to hear what that potent Eau Rouge sounds like.
Infiniti showcases Vision Gran Turismo concept in the metal
Wed, Apr 29 2015Automakers have been clamoring to convey their ethos to a new generation and cast their brand in a positive light through the Vision Gran Turismo series. But while these concepts are designed for the virtual reality of Gran Turismo 6, some automakers have gone a step further by pulling their creations out of cyberspace and rendering them in the metal. And that's just what Infiniti has done with its design. Infiniti revealed its Concept Vision Gran Turismo back in December, striking a a sleek, low-slung form that looks more polished than a racing car but more track-focused than most concepts. It's powered (at least hypothetically) by a 4.5-liter V8 hybrid powertrain, with center-lock carbon-fiber wheels and rearward-biased 45/55 weight distribution. It's the kind of beast we'd love to drive, but while that may only be possible on Playstation, at least we know it does exist in physical reality – even if only as a full-scale model. Infiniti showcased it alongside the Q80 Inspiration and Q60 Concept at an exclusive event during the Shanghai Motor Show last week, but just revealed the photos now, so you can scope them out in the slideshow above.
