1999 Infiniti QX4

4 Wheel Drive

I am selling my 1999 QX4.  It has 128,4XX miles on it.  It currently does not drive because it needs a new distributor.  The part is $80 on ebay and the labor is about 1.5 hour -- This is all according to my mechanic.  He would pass the muffler for inspection too.  I have since bought another car so I do not need this one.  I have owned this car for close to 11 years.  It is a great car!!!  I love it and I hate to sell it!!!

It is great in the snow and was 100% reliable.  The only problem that I ever had was when the distributor went.  It had a factory extended warranty for the until 2008 and I got the oil changed every 3000 miles.  This car is loaded and all the bells and whistles work!   Sunroof, Cd player, Keyless remote, Power doors, Power locks, Cruise Control, Heat & A/C.

At the end of the day this is a Loaded Nissan Pathfinder!!! If you take care of it like me it should easily go for another 125,000.

It is PA inspected until August.

This is a great car for someone that wants a 4x4 SUV.  The engine is 100% solid so if you are looking for an engine this is a great one.  You can put a new distributor in and drive it or part it out.  The engine alone is worth about $1000.

Buyer has to arrange for pick up or towing or you can talk to my mechanic who could fix the distributor for about $150 plus the part so about $230 total.

The Good:

A/C works Great!!
Drives Nicely
4 X 4 --- 4 wheel drive and is great in the snow
Engine is 100% Solid
Transmission is 100% Solid no slippage
Body in very good shape (less Rear bumper)  No visible rust
Clean title
Tires Treads are good and you could probably drive another 10k miles or so before they have to be replaced
Sunroof and Moonroof work great
PA Inspection until August
Running Boards
Drives Great all it needs is a distributor

The Bad:

Need New Distributor
Chip in Rear tail light
Heat Shield Rattles
Trunk sticks al little because I backed in to a pole
Back Seat leather seat is damaged Front Driver seat stitching in coming undone
One speaker needs to be replaced
Some Oil leaking at gasket
Body scratches and I drove over yellow line paint
Cassette Player is broken but the CD player and radio work fine

The auction is as-is if you would like to see it before you bid message me and I will try to set up a time to show it to you.  If you win the auction payment is expected within 24 hours and I would like pick up within 3 days, you will need to arrange pick up, towing etc... if you would like my mechanic can fix the car for about $150 labor if you send him the part.   If you have any questions please ask!!!!!

I have done my very best to describe this car to the best of my ability, because I care very much about my Ebay feedback.

Infiniti will move back to Japan from Hong Kong in 2020

Wed, May 29 2019

BEIJING – Nissan's premium brand Infiniti is relocating its headquarters back to Japan from Hong Kong, its home since 2012, to create "more operational efficiencies" with its parent company, according to a document seen by Reuters on Wednesday. The move planned for mid-2020, and expected to be publicly announced later on Wednesday, will help the Japanese automaker cut costs amid a slump in its global earnings in the year ended March 31. "The relocation will further integrate (Infiniti) with global design, research and development and manufacturing functions based in Japan," Nissan said in the statement, adding that Infiniti would continue to "operate independently". The move also was "crucial" for Nissan to follow through on its strategy to electrify the Infiniti lineup, the document said, with plans for every premium model launched from 2021 to be either all-electric or "e-Power" hybrid. A Nissan official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that while there was a "fair amount of platform and other base technology sharing" between Infiniti and the main volume brand Nissan, "there could be more". Nissan's global operating profit plunged 45% in the last fiscal year and would likely drop another 28% to "rock bottom" in the current one, according to company filings earlier this month. Infiniti's move back to Japan will reverse a decision made under ousted leader Carlos Ghosn to dilute the premium brand's Japanese origins in order to foster a more global image. Its Hong Kong headquarters has about 180 employees who were told about the move back to Yokohama earlier on Wednesday, according to the Nissan official. The Hong Kong headquarters and the global image it was intended to promote were seen as critical for Infiniti to make inroads in China, where being Japanese can sometimes be a handicap because of historical animosities. In 2012, Infiniti and other Japanese brands took a battering in the wake of diplomatic spats over disputed islets known as Diaoyu in China and Senkaku in Japan. Since then, Japan's bilateral relationship with China has steadily improved and Japanese automakers including Nissan and Toyota are seeing their businesses expand, even as China's overall auto market has slumped over the past year. Infiniti QX80 Monograph: Not just luxury, 'upscale luxury'

Wed, Apr 12 2017

We've been getting a slow rollout of news about the new Infiniti QX80 Monograph mega-SUV for the past week or two, and Infiniti provided more details Tuesday about its concept car at the New York Auto Show, saying the mega-SUV is a combination of "luxury with a commanding presence" and "the ultimate expression of futuristic luxury SUV design." Infiniti says the car embodies, not just luxury, but "upscale luxury." The company says the concept's design language incorporates a mix of geometric and organic shapes, including character lines and aluminum trim that were actually intended to make the big SUV appear even bigger than it actually is, which is more than five meters long, so perhaps 17 feet, more than 6 feet wide and about 6 feet tall. The most striking features are the headlamps, which become long, slender lines that wrap around the front corners, then taper into light bars that end at the doors in sculptured rear-view cameras in lieu of side mirrors. The car also has large, functional fender vents to divert air to the engine, and despite all that luxury it is still SUV enough to have an underbody cover protecting the underside - and improving aerodynamics. Likewise, an aerofoil between the tailpipes is said to improve airflow in the SUV's wake. It's a big, beautiful rig. 2015 Spanish F1 Grand Prix makes its Deutsche mark

Mon, May 11 2015

The first race of the European Formula One season inaugurates the second phase of the Championship. Teams overhaul their cars with the big updates they've been working on since Australia, and at the end of The Battle of Spain we find out how the positions on the field have changed. Mercedes-AMG Petronas driver Nico Rosberg brought a big update to his psychology, straight-up beating teammate Lewis Hamilton to take his first pole position of the season. Mercedes owns the front row and Ferrari maintains its status as primary challenger, Sebastian Vettel lining up in third. Williams proved it's been hitting the books to do better in class, though, Valtteri Bottas slotting into fourth. And Toro Rosso's visit to a track that rewards strong aero rewarded them with the best team grid position since the Italian Grand Prix in 2008: Carlos Sainz secured fifth, ahead of Max Verstappen in sixth. Kimi Raikkonen's bout of Saturday woes – it seems the Finn is always handicapped by lots of tiny issues – continued in Barcelona with one of his sets of prime tires getting cooked by malfunctioning tire warmers. He recovered well enough to take seventh on the grid, but he's got some strong competition ahead of him. He led three other drivers in the Continuous Issues department, Daniil Kvyat unable to wrestle his Infiniti Red Bull Racing higher than eighth, Williams driver Felipe Massa getting it wrong in Turn 3 to fall five places behind his teammate Bottas, and Daniel Ricciardo in the second Red Bull enduring another engine change and sloppy car behavior to get tenth. And while it turned out to be a steady race a little rough around the edges, the positions on the battlefield just might have changed. A little. Of the 66 laps in the race we might have seen Rosberg for three of them – maybe. The German got a smashing start, had a clear lead into Turn 1, and after that we checked in occasionally during his two pit stops and again at the checkered flag. He owned the entire weekend the way we're used to seeing his teammate do, and the cameras left him alone to run his race. No one got within seven seconds of him during the first third, and as the pit stop strategies played out that cushion grew. He finished seventeen seconds ahead of Hamilton, and 45 seconds ahead of third-placed Vettel. Hamilton, on the back foot all three days, stumbled out of the gate.
