If you're looking for something that's luxury filled, affordable, and still has a lot of life, here's your car.   The Q series is a great car with power everything, the sound system is awesome, and when you valet they usually park it right up front along side the 7 Series, and S Class cars.  if you don't know much about these cars, follow these links.

I picked this car up as a 3 year lease return with ~35K miles one it and it has been pretty much babied since then.  I've been all over Texas many times and it's a great ride.  Last week was Dallas/Houston, 75-80 MPH (gotta love Texas Interstate speed limits) yielded right at 22MPG which is petty good for a car this size.  Nissan did a great job on the adaptation of their Indy engines to their luxury car market, it's a very good balance of performance and efficiency.

This car has been very well maintained: Mobil1 and Nissan fluids, no mods, completely stock, tires less than 6 months old, AC blows cold, and it's detailed about every 6 months.  The 100K tune up done right at 100K, alternator replaced at 115k, all 8 ignition coils have been replaced, I had all the knock sensors replaced when one failed ~125K miles.  A few of the really nice features I like about this car are the interior lighting (night light feature), the programmable seats, the rear AC, and if you are on a road trip, there are 4 DC power plugs.  The Anniversary Editions all had adjustable suspension, so you can chose "sport" or just leave it normal.  There are a couple of small bumper scrapes, and I did pick up a couple of dings in the windshield, these are all very small.  The dings in the windshield are not in your line of view when driving.

If you win this auction and want to fly in and drive home, I'll be happy to meet you at DFW or Love Field to complete the title transfer.  Also please note this car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early.

Terms: $500 dollar PayPal deposit within 24 hours of auction close, and wire transfer within 72 hours.  If you would like the car shipped, you need to arrange that.

Race recap: 2015 Singapore Grand Prix full of odd sideshows

Mon, Sep 21 2015

What greeted the Formula One teams in Singapore? Confusion. The haze was so thick that observers wondered if the race would be held at all. Then practices began, and Mercedes-AMG Petronas driver Nico Rosberg took the first one, but the team fell away after that. Mercedes said it couldn't get the tires turned on, but no one believed the Silver Arrows was in genuine trouble. Then qualifying set the confusion in stone. Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel laid down the best time in Q3, taking the team's first pole position since Germany in 2012. Daniel Ricciardo got his Infiniti Red Bull Racing into second, about one tenth behind Vettel. (That may make the team feel better after Ricciardo publicly asked for a better engine than the current Renault unit, and team advisor Helmut Marko said the outfit will quit F1 at the end of this year if it can't get a stronger powerplant for 2016.) Kimi Raikkonen put the second Ferrari in third, Daniil Kvyat put the second Red Bull in fourth. And only then came the Meredes'. Lewis Hamilton's best got him fifth, the Brit saying, "We don't really know what we have got wrong. For some reason the tires are not working on the car. We do the warm-up the same as everyone else and then you see someone one second up the road." For added emphasis on the reversal of fortune, his time was 1.6 seconds behind Vettel's. Teammate Rosberg is next to him in sixth, a further half a second back. Williams is still a hurting a bit on slow tracks, so Valtteri Bottas could only get into seventh ahead of Max Verstappen in the Toro Rosso and teammate Felipe Massa in ninth. When the red lights went out, the 2015 Singapore Grand Prix would get both less interesting and more interesting all the way to the final lap. The men up front got good getaways, and the order into Turn 1 was Vettel, Ricciardo, and Raikkonen. The race finished with those three in that order, never having conceded position. Vettel's Ferrari enjoyed the track so much that he laid a second per lap into Ricciardo for the first five, then relaxed. He'd let the gap come down later in the race a couple of times, but any time he wanted to see what his mirrors looked like without anyone in them he'd take off again. Rosberg took fourth position after holding down sixth for the first stint. It looked like he'd have an even worse day - for a Mercedes driver - when he had problems getting his car started and onto the grid before the race.

Infiniti to display special Q60 convertible celebrating Unser at Amelia Island

Sun, 09 Mar 2014

Bobby Unser is one of the great American racing drivers of his generation, having won the Indianapolis 500 in 1968, '75 and '81 and belonging to the Unser racing dynasty. But he might be getting the oddest tribute of his life at the 2014 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. Infiniti has created a tribute to his Indy-winning 1968 car out of a Q60 Convertible (previously the G37), and he will be driving it around the event.
The Infiniti is wrapped in red, gold, black and white livery with the number 3 designed by the company's design director Alfonso Albaisa. While the connection seems dubious, Offenhauser-powered racecars are one of the featured vehicles at this year's concours, and the Japanese luxury automaker worked with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum to bring Unser's 1968 Eagle, which used an Offenhauser engine and flew those colors, to the show. The brand wanted a car of its own to match... no matter how outlandish it looked.
Honestly, while certainly a nice gesture, the choice still seems a bit weird. At least visitors will get the chance to see American racing royalty and his winning car. Scroll down to read Infiniti's full explanation for their effort.

Final Recap: Days 2 and 3 notes, quotes, and takeaways from the US Grand Prix

Tue, 20 Nov 2012

The Texas grass no longer rustles with 2.4-liter V8 exhaust blown at 18,000 revs, the Texas dust is no longer raised by hard-compound Pirellis. We saw a lot and learned a lot while we were there as guests of Infiniti, and after our Day 1 and race recaps, here are the bits left over from our time spent with the carmaker and Red Bull Racing, including thoughts on a "wicked" race, Christian Horner's quest for a more level playing field, Infiniti "going longer and deeper," and why Mario Andretti should get a police escort at the beginning of a race but not a microphone at the end...
