As Lincoln announces an all-new Navigator at this year's New York auto show, and General Motors' Arlington (Texas) plant runs 24/7 cranking out Tahoes, Yukons, and Escalades, Infiniti's big QX56/80 continues to gain fans in a great many upmarket zip codes. And its appeal – for those with an appreciation for Big Foot footprints – is obvious. Built atop Nissan's Patrol platform, the QX56 offers high levels of refinement with cubic yards of utility. Introduced by Nissan's Infiniti division in 2011, you would assume any inaugural bugs had been worked out by 2013, the QX's third model year. Power was supplied, in the press vernacular, by Nissan's proven 5.6-liter V8 producing 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. A seven-speed automatic transmission was standard on all models, and while the additional speeds might suggest some semblance of efficiency, no one should confuse this big QX with a Toyota Prius. Our 'for sale' example, with 84,000 miles, represents above-average mileage for a 4-year old vehicle. But if those are largely highway miles in and around Madison, Mississippi, and service records are available, you shouldn't be too concerned. This is, with proper maintenance, a 200,000-mile platform, leaving you about 116,000 miles for your $37,000. And the 'ask' seems about $5,000 too dear; perhaps the seller will throw in a gas card. Infiniti Prototype 10 concept to debut at Pebble Beach

Last year, Infiniti launched its gorgeous Prototype 9 concept at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. It was an open-wheel, retro-styled car inspired by Grand Prix racers of old. Just as important as its design, though, was its powertrain. It was all-electric. This year, at Pebble Beach, Infiniti will return with a new speedster concept called Prototype 10. It, too, will be electrified. Teased in the above image, the open-cockpit Prototype 10 will be another single-seater steeped in classic design, though with looks the automaker describes as "cool, clean and forward-looking," borrowing some cues from the Infiniti Q Inspiration concept we saw at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. Karim Habib, Infiniti's executive design director, describes Prototype 10: The Infiniti Prototype 10 echoes the layout and design of some of the most evocative car designs of all time, where power was celebrated through high-powered single-seat competition cars. Our new concept speaks of an electrified future, something which is reflected in its form and details. It is appropriate that we found inspiration in an optimistic bygone era in which cars were characterized by the simple love of driving. Still, Infiniti leaves out most of the details about the car. We're curious what kind of "electrified" powertrain Prototype 10 will use, but the company plans to electrify its whole lineup beginning in 2021. It's possible Infiniti could tease further images and information, but we'll likely have to wait for its official unveiling at Pebble Beach on Aug. 23, which is right around the corner. 2017 Infiniti Q60 3.0t Sport starts at $49,205

Infiniti announced pricing Wednesday for the 2017 Q60 3.0t Sport. The 300-horsepower Q60 3.0t Sport starts at $49,204, while the all-wheel-drive variant starts at $51,205. The new models slot snugly in between the Q60 3.0t Premium AWD and the Q60 Red Sport 400. The Q60 3.0t Sport's price isn't the only thing that makes it the middle child, as the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6's output is in the middle, as well. The base Q60 2.0t is fitted with a turbocharged inline-four that generates 208 horsepower, while the range-topping Q60 Red Sport 400's 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 puts out 400 horsepower. The Q60 3.0t Sport makes an even 300 horsepower, not enough to crowd the Q60 Red Sport, but a large increase over the inline-four motor. In terms of features, the Q60 3.0t Sport trims gets a lot of the same components as the high-end models, including the sport brakes, Dynamic Digital Suspension, 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels, carbon-fiber trim on the inside, and more.
