No issues at all with this car. All service has been performed on schedule. Cosmetically, this car is in very good shape with only a few minor blemishes, which are documented here."

I am the second owner of this 2006 Infiniti M45, which I bought in 2008 from an Infiniti dealer as a certified pre-owned vehicle.  Since I've owned this car, I've had all scheduled service performed at my local Infiniti dealership.  All buttons, dials, switches and displays work as they should.  The transmission and the engine work great with lots of V-8 power.  The air conditioning works great and blows cold.  I've treated this car very well, and it shows.  The car is in great cosmetic shape with the minor exceptions I've listed here: 1) there are a couple of scratches, which I tried to capture in the supplied photos, 2) there is a scuff on the driver's side door side mirror, 3) a small piece of the frame around the driver side door mirror cracked off and was glued back on, 4) there is a small tear on the driver side seat, 5) some curb rash on the rims, 6) a couple of very small dings on the hood of the car from acorns dropping down on it, but they were so minor that they would not come out in the photos, and 7) the headlights are slightly fogging.  I checked with a detailer I use and was quoted $40 to polish each headlight to remove this.  I should also note that the engine was replaced at @ 65,000 miles because it contained a defect that caused it to burn oil.  This was apparently a known issue at Infiniti with the V-8's of that year.  My Infiniti dealer replaced the entire engine under warranty.  I have the service records to verify this.  The engine, therefore, has only @53,500 miles on it.

The brakes and tires were replaced last year and still have most of their life left.

This car has an XM radio receiver and navigation with a recently updated maps DVD.

There are no surprises with this car.  It has served me well as my daily driver for the past 5 years.  I am only selling it now because I bought a Tesla.  Note that I'm asking a reasonable price for this car, which is offered at less than the "good" value per Kelley Blue Book.

I have a clean title in-hand.

ALSO- PLEASE NOTE THAT AUTOCHECK HISTORY SHOWS A REPORTED ACCIDENT IN 2012.  This was due to a very low-speed tap on my rear bumper from a driver behind me.  The damage was so non-existent that it didn't even scratch the paint.  There was nothing for me to fix, but since the police were called, it now shows on the vehicle history.

Pebble Beach Concept Car Lawn adds class to the grass

Sun, 17 Aug 2014

While Pebble Beach is traditionally thought of as the refuge of the pristine and pricey vintage vehicles of the world, there's no shortage of newer vehicles on display. And when we say "new," we mean really new. As in, not even in production new. This is the concept car lawn, and it's home to an eclectic group of vehicles from past and present.
Of course, calling it the "concept car lawn" is a bit of a misnomer this year (as it has been in previous years, too). Production models like the Alfa Romeo 4C were on display, alongside known quantities like the Hennessy Venom GT and modified versions of already-on-sale models, like the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Waterspeed Collection.
There were a few concepts on display, though. Toyota debuted the critically acclaimed FT-1 Concept in a new shade, while BMW's Beijing Motor Show stunner, the Vision Future Luxury, was also parked on the expensive grass. Also appearing were the Nissan GT-R in sheep's clothing, the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge, and the recently debuted McLaren P1 GTR.

2019 Infiniti QX50 Essential Drivers' Notes Review | Variable impressions

Wed, Jul 24 2019

The 2019 Infiniti QX50 is the brand’s second smallest crossover, and itÂ’s fully redesigned for the 2019 model year. Infiniti decided to use the stylish QX50 as a technology flagship, specifically using it to debut its variable-compression engine technology. It has since been shared with Nissan in the new Altima, but Infiniti got the new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder first. It makes a solid 268 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, numbers that are very similar to the outgoing QX50Â’s 3.7-liter V6. However, the 2019 QX50 with all-wheel drive (as our tester is equipped) nets you 26 mpg combined to the old carÂ’s 20 mpg combined rating. Infiniti pairs the new engine with its continuously-variable transmission. We happen to be testing the absolute pinnacle of what a QX50 can be: the “Essential” trim level. The base QX50 Pure starts at $37,645, whereas ours towers up to $59,085. That steep price is thanks to the addition of several high-dollar packages, including the $7,500 Sensory Package. This is the price youÂ’ll pay to get the ultra-luxe interior that we happened to fall in love with. The Autograph Package added $2,000, netting us white leather with the blue suede accents. Then the ProActive ($2,000) and ProAssist ($550) packages provide all the advanced driver assistance features like ProPilot Assist. Take note that the frustrating steer-by-wire (DAS) system is also included in the ProActive Package. Assistant Editor, Zac Palmer: When fully optioned as our QX50 Essential tester is, this interior can mix it up with the best in the business. You may have to sell a kidney to afford it, but the quilted white semi-aniline leather, soft blue suede and light maple (real) wood is going to make it all worthwhile. Infiniti certainly nailed it on the materials, but the interior design and styling flourishes are executed just as successfully. There's a simplicity to the flatness and gently curving horizontal lines that feels so graceful and luxurious. I feel that I'd never tire of the cream, brown and blue color combination, though that light-colored leather means I'd forever be trying extra hard to keep it clean. All of this interior loveliness was almost enough to make me forget about this crossover's interior tech shortcomings. Infiniti hasn't integrated Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and the stock infotainment system isn't nearly polished enough to warrant such an omission.

2015 Italian Grand Prix is smoke, mirrors, stalls, and stewards

Mon, Sep 7 2015

For the first day-and-a-half of the Italian Formula One Grand Prix weekend, everything went to blueprint: Mercedes in front, Ferrari lurking, everyone else scrambling in their usual orders behind. Then qualifying came, and someone stirred the pot. About the only thing we expected was for Lewis Hamilton to put his Mercedes-AMG Petronas on pole position, the 11th time he's done it this year. He did it with a brand-new specification engine, one that represents not only an evolution in components, but also in power unit philosophy. Kimi Raikkonen lines up in second. It's been a long time since we read those words; the Iceman hasn't been on the first row since the 2013 Chinese Grand Prix, when he put his Lotus second on the grid behind... Lewis Hamilton. Raikkonen lined up just ahead of a Ferrari at that China race, then driven by Fernando Alonso. In Italy this weekend, he lined up in front of the Ferrari driven by his teammate, Sebastian Vettel, who qualified third. Both Ferraris benefitted from an upgraded power unit, ending a front-row drought for the scuderia that goes all the way back to Monaco in 2009 Germany in 2012. Nico Rosberg has a lot of work to do from fourth in the second Mercedes-AMG Petronas. Mercedes discovered a problem with Rosberg's engine but couldn't figure out the cause, so he reverted to the previous-spec engine he used in Belgium, one that's six races old. The lack of power hurt. Williams teammates Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas took fifth and sixth, with Massa seemingly given a team-ordered helping hand. Williams told Bottas to tow Massa down the front straight, giving Massa a blistering time in the first sector. Then Bottas did it again, ensuring he would line up behind Massa. The first Sahara Force India of Sergio Perez nabbed seventh, three places ahead of teammate Nico Hulkenberg in tenth, with Romain Grosjean in the Lotus behind Perez in eighth. Marcus Ericsson in the Sauber qualified ninth, but some clumsy driving saw him impede Hulkenberg twice. The stewards penalized Ericsson with a three-place grid penalty and two points on his superlicense, so Hulkenberg inherited ninth and Pastor Maldonado in the second Lotus inherited tenth. We hardly saw Hamilton during the race, because he led from the start, worked up a larger gap to second place on every lap, and didn't give up the lead for the whole event.
