Up for sale is a 2007 Infiniti QX56. This vehicle is loaded with leather, heated seats, navigation, Sirius/XM satellite radio, etc. It DOES NOT have the rear entertainment system and it is only 2 wheel drive. This has been my wife's vehicle over the past 3 years. It is a 7 year old vehicle so there are some scratches and nicks on the hood and around the car. It was been very well maintained. I change the oil every 3000 miles and rotate the tires every 5000 miles. We have not had a single issue with it since we have owned it. The Michelin tires have 15,000 miles on them and have a ton of tread left. The only negative things about the vehicle is there are some minor scratches on front passenger side wheel well (see photo). The wife tried pulling into the garage too close and rubbed the side of the garage. The radio controls (volume, change station, etc.) on the steering wheel do not work, however, everything else including cruise control works perfectly. I still owe a balance on the vehicle to my bank loan. So, after purchase, I can set you up with my bank or have your bank work it out with my bank in getting the title. The vehicle is listed locally so the listing may be ended at any time. Kelly Blue Book has the private party valued at $21,800. The price is negotiable but please keep the offers reasonable. 2014 Infiniti Q50 priced from $36,450*
Wed, 27 Mar 2013With the 2014 Infiniti Q50 going on sale this summer, Infiniti has finally released pricing for its all-new and newly named sedan. In base form, the Q50 will start at $36,450 (*including $905 for destination and handling), which represents a drop of $900 compared to the current G37 Sedan.
In standard form, the Q50 is available in base, Premium and Sport trim levels with each offering the option of all-wheel drive for an additional $1,800. All gas-only Q50s come with the automaker's excellent 3.7-liter V6 engine, but stepping over to the Q50 Hybrid gets you a smaller 3.5-liter V6 paired with an electric motor. The Q50 Hybrid, which is available in Premium and Sport trim levels only, will begin at $43,700 for a rear-wheel-drive Sport model.

800k car names trademarked globally, suddenly alphanumerics seem reasonable
Tue, 01 Oct 2013What's in a name? This cliched phrase probably gets tossed out at every marketing meeting that happens when a new car gets its nomenclature. We know the answer, though: everything. The name of a car has all the potential to make or break it with fickle customers that are more conscious than ever about what their purchases say about them.
That's giving headaches to marketing folks across the automotive industry. "It's tough. In 1985 there were about 75,000 names trademarked in the automotive space. Today there are 800,000," Chevrolet's head of marketing, Russ Clark, told Automotive News. Infiniti's president, Johan de Nysschen, echoed Clark's sentiment, saying, "The truth of the matter is, across the world, there is hardly a name or a letter that hasn't already been claimed by one car manufacturer or another. You can go through the alphabet - A, B, C and so forth - and you will quickly see that almost all available letters are taken."
What has that left automakers to do? Get creative. In the case of Infiniti, it made the controversial move to bring all of its cars' names into a new scheme, classifying them as Q#0 for cars and QX#0 for SUVs and crossovers. So the Infiniti G, which was available as the G25 and G37, is now the Q50. The FX37 and FX50 are now the QX70.
About 20k Nissan Pathfinder, Infiniti JX models recalled for potentially faulty brakes
Fri, 19 Apr 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder and 2013 Infiniti JX due to a problem with the front brakes. The problem is a result of the brake torque member (a part that attaches the brake caliper to the front suspension), which was cast improperly with a structural weakness that could possibly lead to "reduced braking, increasing the risk of a crash," according to NHTSA. How, you ask? If the part breaks, the brake caliper could move position and possibly make contact with the wheel.
Around 20,000 of these sister crossovers are being recalled, but it doesn't sound like all were equipped with the faulty component. Dealers will inspect vehicles built between December 3, 2012 and January 29, 2013, and replace components from the defective batch. The recall goes into effect next month, but until then, the official recall notice is posted below with information for how owners can contact Nissan.
