This is a very nice Infinity J30. Optional Pearl White with Bone leather interior. This car was $42,000 new in 1996! It is a 1 owner car from Florida. Senior citizen owned, then it came up to PA for a short while and back to NJ. I have unbelievable service records for every inspection and servicing. All regular servicing is done. This includes the factory required tuneup, timing belt, water-pump, idlers, belts, hoses and a thermostat, fuel filters and Oxygen sensors. These all have to be replaced at 100K miles and the owner spent $1600 having all this done. In addition, it has a recent DELCO battery, 4 NEW tires, all new brakes.

The car has NO, NONE, NADA mechanical problems. Everything works. The car drives like new with NO shakes, rattles, buzzing. Nothing. Rock solid. No serious rust. Never been in an accident. Clean title in-hand.

I bought this for my Daughter. She wrecked her car, and I was under the impression it wasn't insured. It was, so we're getting it fixed. ( It only has 15K miles on it). So we really just don't need the car.

Here is the list of options:

-Pearl Paint.
-Power options: Sunroof, locks, mirrors, steering, brakes, front seats (6-way!), trunk, antenna.
-Tilt wheel, cruise control, Leather EVERYthing. Real wood trim. Steering wheel controls for cruise and stereo. BOSE 8 speaker AM/FM/Cass/CD stereo. Heated seats. Tinted glass, defog/defrost, AC with climate control, Alloy wheels, 4-wheel Disc brakes (new) with Anti-lock, Positraction, 4 wheel fully independent suspension. 5-star reliability, Air bags, factory embroidered floor mats, heated seats, dash gauges w/Tach, Projector headlights, auto-dim rear-view mirror, lighted vanity mirrors, fully lined trunk.
-Engine is a V6, Twin Overhead Cam, 24 valve with sequential digital fuel injection. The same engine is in the 300Z sports car. Trans is an Automatic 4sp overdrive.

This car is loaded. And it all works. No body rot. No leaks or drips.  You can drive this anywhere.

The problems: The cubby lid in the console pops open. There are 2 small spots of scale on the sunroof. The rear bumper got bumped and has a ding in it and some paint spider-webbing.

I'll save you the research time:

Car and Driver: 90-120k miles in Exc mech condition $4,424.
CARS.com and Edmunds.com: In the last 180 days, the AVERAGE J30 sold for $3,079. The average car had 176,400 miles on it. The average car required $740 in service work. The average car cost $3819 to make reliable in average conditon.

This car is much better than average with a LOT less mileage and needs no work. These cars routinely go past 250,000 miles.

So, $4500 takes this luxury car home. I have not detailed it yet. I'll polish/wax , vacuum inside, clean the interior up, spot-fix the 2 spots on the sunroof. If you want to do this yourself, talk to me and you can save some $. Put the key in it and drive home.

I think the car is fairly proced for what it is. I've looked at others and EVERY one was missing the 100,000 mile service work. This is a $1500-$2000 service job. If that timing belt breaks, your engine is history. So a cheaper car might be less money up front, but it's a time bomb waiting to go. My car has a folder full of service work...everything by the book, and it shows. The engine needs nothing for years.

My feedback speaks for itself. I've sold a dozen cars here and all were given perfect feedback. I represent my cars fairly and honestly to the best of my ability. I won't see a car I wouldn't put my own family in.

2015 Belgian Grand Prix is a return to scheduled programming

Mon, Aug 24 2015

With summer intermission over, the second half of the Formula One season commenced in the Belgian countryside at Spa-Francorchamps. After qualifying, it looked a lot like the first half of the season with just a few minor changes. Lewis Hamilton was even more dominant in his Mercedes-AMG Petronas than usual, regularly taking half a second out of his teammate in just the middle sector of the circuit. Teammate Nico Rosberg tightened it up a tad for his final hot lap, but Hamilton still took pole by 0.45 seconds ahead of Rosberg in second. With his Williams back at a power track, Valtteri Bottas got himself up to third, although more than a second behind Hamilton. Romain Grosjean in the Lotus in fourth had his best qualifying performance since his fourth-place grid spot at the 2013 US Grand Prix. This was a huge boon for Lotus, the team facing another financial issue off track that threatened to have its cars impounded as soon as they left the circuit. Grosjean had to have his gearbox changed before the conclusion of six races, however, so the five-spot penalty meant he'd actually line up ninth for the race. Sergio Perez put the Sahara Force India in fifth, where we're more used to seeing his teammate Nico Hulkenberg, just ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in the Infiniti Red Bull Racing in sixth. Felipe Massa got the second Williams in seventh, in front of the second Lotus of Pastor Maldonado in eighth. Then came the first and only Ferrari in the top ten, Sebastian Vettel qualifying ninth after a disappointing Saturday for the scuderia; teammate Kimi Raikkonen suffered gearbox issues and qualified way down in 16th. Carlos Sainz took tenth in the Toro Rosso. A new start procedure in Belgium meant drivers had to handle clutches on their own, without the engineers finely tuning bite points between the garage and the start line. That was in conjunction with another rule limiting the kinds of radio messages possible between engineers and drivers, aiming to put more of the car in the drivers' hands. After an aborted start when Hulkenberg's car quit while sitting on the grid, Hamilton made the most of the new procedure. His start wasn't amazing but he beat everyone else off the line, while those behind were alternately getting bogged down or leaping ahead. Midway through the first lap the top ten was Hamilton, Perez, Ricciardo, Bottas, Rosberg, Vettel, Maldonado, Grosjean, Massa, Marcus Ericsson. At the end of 43 laps, Hamilton would still be in the lead.

Infiniti hires Sebastian Vettel as Director of Performance

Wed, 27 Mar 2013

Remember when, during the Grand Prix of the Americas weekend last November, we told you that Sebastian Vettel had worked with Infiniti on the new G Coupe and that there'd be more of that kind of involvement on the way? It's been made official with the three-time Formula One World Champion being named Infiniti's Director of Performance.
Although the announcement is fresh, Vettel's time on the job isn't, Infiniti saying that Vettel went to Japan, the Nürburgring and the Circuit de Catalunya to assist in the development of the Q50 sedan.
When we spoke to Andreas Sigl, the man in charge of Infiniti's F1 collaboration with Red Bull, about the tie-up he had also said, "Like Mercedes has AMG and BMW has M - whether it's called IPL or not - we want to have something in that space." If the brand is still serious about that, Vettel's chops could help them deliver the kind of performance they'd need as upstarts to challenge the ringleaders of that particular hi-po circus.

2015 Brazilian Grand Prix is the same as it ever was

Mon, Nov 16 2015

At this point, we hope Nico Rosberg is planning to carry his current qualifying form into the 2016 season and back it up with the same kind of race-day cojones he showed winning the race in Mexico City two weeks ago. The Mercedes-AMG Petronas driver got it right enough again on Saturday afternoon to take his fifth consecutive pole position ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton by almost a tenth of a second. It's the same one-two from Brazil last year. The bad news for the rest of the field is that the winner in Brazil the last seven years has been one of the two drivers on the front row. Last year it was the Williams duo that lined up behind Mercedes, this year it's Ferrari. Sebastian Vettel plays the stalking horse, securing third in his Ferrari ahead of teammate Kimi Raikkonen in fourth. Williams driver Valtteri Bottas actually qualified in fourth, but he had to serve a three-spot grid penalty for passing under red flags in Free Practice 2, so he started sixth. That promoted Sahara Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg up to fifth. Daniil Kvyat was the quickest representative from Infiniti Red Bull Racing, getting into seventh even with a Renault power unit that's weak on some of the key stretches at the Interlagos track. Felipe Massa had the second Williams in eighth, in front of the second Red Bull driven by Daniel Ricciardo in ninth. Toro Rosso hasn't confirmed its drivers for next year but Max Verstappen keeps making it hard to look elsewhere, taking 10th. Rosberg is working nearly the same trick he pulled last year: drive like a second driver for most of the year, drive like a world champion for the last quarter of a season. He pulled away at the start and covered Hamilton just enough on the run to the first corner to keep Hamilton on the outside. By the end of Turn 1 the German had the lead and didn't give it up for the rest of the race outside of pit stops. Without overwhelming pace to pass and unable to follow closely, Hamilton could do nothing except ask his team for a different strategy to go for the win. When Mercedes told him "No," trying to protect Rosberg's second place in the championship ahead of Vettel, that was the race. Just like last year, Rosberg and Hamilton finished one-two. Vettel, Raikkonen, Bottas, Hulkenberg, and Kvyat drove lonely races to finish in positions three through seven.
