I am the original owner of this beautiful Platinum Graphite G37 Sport Coupe. I am meticulous about car maintenance and car care. I have every piece of paper since I bought this in Aug. of '07.

I regularly change the oil at the dealer and any problems that have arisen I take it right in and have it taken care of. Although the problems have been few and minor. This car has never been in an accident and never been smoked in.
It's never been in the snow. I put it away in early November and it comes out of my garage in mid April. It doesn't have any door dings because I park it way out in parking lots.
It does show some wear. A few chips that I have found I have taken care of with Dr. Color Chip. The rims do have a couple of minor scratches on them. They are painted so they can be touched up if you want. The interior has a few wear marks.
It comes with front and rear floor mats as well as a trunk mat. Also the original Infiniti first aid kit.
The rear seats and floor looks show room new. I can count on one hand how many times people have sat back there.
The Michelin Pilot Super Sports have only 10,000 miles on them. I love these tires. The best I've found for a combination of handling and ride comfort.
I had a clear bra put on the week after I bought it, so there are no stone chips in the front fascia, hood and mirror backs. It is starting to lift off just a tiny bit near the bottom fascia. You can remove the bra if you want and you'll have a brand new paint job underneath.
There is a star crack in the windshield that I had Safelite take care of. In the years since then, it has not gotten bigger. It is not in the drivers field of vision.
Also note in the pic of the steering wheel that the paint on the wheel bezel is scratched. I took it to the dealer and they said that they are aware that the paint can scratch as the car ages, but they are claiming normal wear. They say it can be repainted.
I'm an adult driver. I have kept this car stock and do not beat on it. You may find a G37S for less money on eBay, but you will not find a better, more cared for G37S.
Why am I selling it? I have a bucket list of cars and it's time to move on to the next one.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Thanks for looking.

Infiniti boss ices plan for EV

Tue, 04 Jun 2013

Infiniti President Johan de Nysschen has postponed plans for an electric vehicle in order to focus on high-volume models. Automotive News reports de Nysschen is attempting to be realistic about Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn's goal of nearly tripling Infiniti global sales from 170,000 units last year to 500,000 by March 31, 2017, saying, "500,000 cars by 2017 is an inordinately ambitious challenge." An electric vehicle would likely sell in rather small numbers.
Still, the executive is already making moves to improve Infiniti sales worldwide with new production in both China and England. Meanwhile, the company plans to unveil a new volume compact sedan set to bow in 2015. Meanwhile, de Nysschen is also working on two new models above the company's current M line. Those will borrow styling cues from machines like the Essence Concept, but will be far less exotic, tilting more toward high-performance luxury than true sports car.

IIHS: High numbers of drivers treat partially automated cars as fully self-driving

Tue, Oct 11 2022

WASHINGTON — Drivers using advanced driver assistance systems like Tesla Autopilot or General Motors Super Cruise often treat their vehicles as fully self-driving despite warnings, a new study has found. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), an industry funded group that prods automakers to make safer vehicles, said on Tuesday a survey found regular users of Super Cruise, Nissan/Infiniti ProPILOT Assist and Tesla Autopilot "said they were more likely to perform non-driving-related activities like eating or texting while using their partial automation systems than while driving unassisted." The IIHS study of 600 active users found 53% of Super Cruise, 42% of Autopilot and 12% of ProPILOT Assist owners "said that they were comfortable treating their vehicles as fully self-driving." About 40% of users of Autopilot and Super Cruise — two systems with lockout features for failing to pay attention — reported systems had at some point switched off while they were driving and would not reactivate. "The big-picture message here is that the early adopters of these systems still have a poor understanding of the technologyÂ’s limits," said IIHS President David Harkey. The study comes as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is scrutinizing Autopilot crashes. Since 2016, the NHTSA has opened 37 special investigations involving 18 deaths in crashes involving Tesla vehicles and where systems like Autopilot were suspected of use. Tesla did not respond to requests for comment. Tesla says Autopilot does not make vehicles autonomous and is intended for use with a fully attentive driver who is prepared to take over. GM, which in August said owners could use Super Cruise on 400,000 miles (643,740 km) of North American roads and plans to offer Super Cruise on 22 models by the end of 2023, did not immediately comment. IIHS said advertisements for Super Cruise focus on hands-free capabilities while Autopilot evokes the name used in passenger airplanes and "implies TeslaÂ’s system is more capable than it really is." IIHS in contrast noted ProPILOT Assist "suggests that itÂ’s an assistance feature, rather than a replacement for the driver." NHTSA and automakers say none of the systems make vehicles autonomous. Nissan said its name "is clearly communicating ProPILOT Assist as a system to aid the driver, and it requires hands-on operation.

Analyzing De Nyscchen's 25-year comeback plan for Infiniti

Sat, 19 Jan 2013

"It took us 25 years to bring Audi back in the US. This kind of thing takes a long time."
When Johan De Nysschen left his post at Audi of America last year to take the seemingly thankless job of leading Infiniti's global operations, it seemed like a familiar scenario. Like Michael Dukakis going from one of two men that could have won the White House to teaching political science at an obscure Florida college.
