2005 Infiniti FX45 - THIS IS A LOADED CAR WITH ALL THE OPTIONS.  I recently purchased this as a third car for my step son and now realize we do not need it.  His dad ended up buying him a car! It is in excellent condition.  I recently did the following maintenance:

  • Rebuilt the Transmission with a Kevlar Band and new valve body
  • added Viper Smart Start alarm GPS remote start and tracking of vehicle
  • 4 New Tires - Yokohama Prada Spec-X 285/50 R20
  • New Radiator was installed to protect the new transmission
  • K&R Air Filter
  • BC Racing front and Rear coil over kit with height and dampening adjust
  • New Dual Tipped Stainless exhaust
  • New Brakes, Pads, Slotted/Drilled Rotors, Stainless Brake lines, Hubs, Bearings and CV Axles
  • Only Synthetic oil has been used
  • New Spark Plugs
  • Cabin Filter Change
  • Wheels aligned
  • Back up sensors installed
  • Throttle Body Cleaning

As you can see this car will need nothing, it should last a long time.  It is in great shape with normal interior leather wear, in fact the previous owner had the faded dashboard replaced by Infiniti under warranty.  Exterior has a few minor marks but over all this car is amazing for the year and mileage.  Car fax shows an accident a while back but the police office I bought the car from me assures me it was a minor bumper tap that got reported.  Feel free to have the car inspected but I do not see and major signs of previous damage.  The dashboard was replaced due to a factory recall so it looks like new!  The old ones had a peeling issue and this recall is well documented.

This car has the Viper Smart Start which can start you car via the internet from anywhere, it can also track you car and set notification limits on speed and location etc.  It can text you when car battery is low and when alarm has been triggered.

Infiniti previews its own Vision Gran Turismo

Tue, Dec 9 2014

Every automaker and its parent company is lining up to design its own set of wheels for the GT6 as part of the Vision Gran Turismo program, and this latest one comes from Infiniti. Although nothing in the way of details were disclosed at this point, the two teaser images released today show that, like most of its compatriots, Infiniti's design is for a low-slung, track-focused, two-door sports car. Its long bonnet suggests a front-engined layout, with an intriguingly ovoid windshield framed by raised buttress A-pillars and Infiniti's signature dog-leg rear pillars. The aerodynamic profiling looks suitably advanced for a mythical beast like this one, with deep extractor vents cut into the hood, intersecting side sills running from the front brake vents, an enormous rear diffuser and an even bigger rear wing. More than that we couldn't tell you at this point, but we're sure video racers will enjoy driving this super-Datsun as much as the Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo released back in June.

Watch Formula Drift's Chris Forsberg break in a new warehouse

Tue, 25 Mar 2014

Here are just a few great drift cars: Toyota AE86, Mazda RX-7, Nissan Z, Nissan Silvia, and Ford Mustang. One vehicle you won't find on that list, however, is the Infiniti M, because it's a big, heavy luxury car.
It's comfortable, spacious and better to drive than you might expect. And yet, even though it was possible to get one with a very nice 335-horsepower, 4.5-liter V8, it wouldn't be the first car we'd gut and take drifting in an empty warehouse. Formula Drift driver Chris Forsberg didn't get our memo, evidently, which is why we have this video of him flinging a big, white Infiniti through an empty building.
It's an entertaining video, if only because using an M as a drift car is just such a ludicrous sight. Scroll down to watch the entire clip.

NHTSA opens investigation into Nissan's handling of airbag recall

Mon, Mar 23 2015

In March of 2014, Nissan recalled eight models among its Nissan and Infiniti brands, totaling more than one million vehicles, over faulty occupant classification system software controlling the passenger airbag. The company discovered a variety of factors that would interfere with the system's ability to detect an adult passenger in the shotgun seat, resulting in an illuminated warning on on the dashboard and the passenger airbag not deploying in an accident. Yet 124 complaints submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration since the recall allege that the dealer-installed fix hasn't actually fixed the problem; some consumers say the problem persists after multiple trips to the dealer. The Detroit News reports that NHTSA is opening an investigation into the matter to determine whether a new recall is needed. The occupant sensor has been a bugbear for Nissan over the past couple of years; a much smaller recall for the issue in 2013 covered five of the eight vehicles that were recalled in 2014, and that earlier recall also continued to generate complaints after the issue had supposedly been fixed. At the same time, the company learned that in two instances there was another twist, where the dashboard warning wasn't illuminated but the passenger airbag still didn't go off in an accident. Nissan isn't alone, though, with airbag recalls on a steep upswing across the industry even before the Takata debacle.
