This 1997 Hyundai Tiburon for sale is a one-of-a-kind head turner! I hate to see it go, but I'm moving and could use the extra cash. This car was purchased from down south and has *never* been in the snow. I got it last year and kept it in the garage over the winter. Here's some of the many highlights (But I'm sure I'm forgetting some):

- Only 67,000 miles!
- Custom chameleon paint job
- Body Kit
- Custom rims (All 4 of them are the 5 point design now, a couple older pics show different rear wheels)
- Eibach lowering springs
- Painted calipers
- NOS tanks and setup including switches on the center console (Not hooked up at the moment, can't sell it with it enabled)
- TV screen in the steering wheel (With chameleon paint on the middle of the steering wheel. TV also not hooked up for the same reason)
- Playstation 2 video game system hooked up in the back
- Polk audio speakers replacing the factory speakers
- Custom trunk setup with 2 15" Kickers & Amp
- Bolted-on roll cage
- Gauges on the drivers side
- Small fire extinguisher on the passenger side
- Custom leather seats
- Short throw shift
- Stage 2 clutch
- Cold air intake
- Full exhaust system (Purrs like a kitten)
- A button to make the rear lights actually come out from the car about 12". Very unique & cool!
- Custom painted chameleon dash
- Kenwood cd player that also changes colors

Like I said, there's probably a few things I'm forgetting as well. The previous owner said this did the 1/8th mile in 8.6 seconds, so it's quite snappy! I had this delivered to me from down south and it handled the trip up just fine. You certainly won't have any problems figuring out which car is yours in the parking lot!

As for "problems", there isn't too much. The handle for the glove box is loose, but this could probably be fixed pretty easily. Also, the subs don't seem to be all that loud. Might just need the gain turned up or some wire needs to be tightened. Again, my guess is it's a fairly easy fix. The cd player is a bit of a tight fit so it require a little tug to open it, but it still works just fine.

Also, it doesn't have power steering. This isn't a "problem" and is actually intentional. Many people have removed power steering for low tuner cars like this because it gives you more responsiveness and helps a bit with cornering. Once the car is over 10mph or so, you can barely tell (As in, it's plenty easy to turn the wheel), but it's still more responsive.

Asking $6,500, but I'm open to offers. Please make them reasonable, this is a unique car with very low miles on it.

Hyundai Virtual Guide is an owner's manual for your phone

Fri, Nov 13 2015

The owner's manual for the 2015 Hyundai Sonata is more than 700 pages. In fact, owner's manuals in general are so unwieldy – both by weight and actual use – that the problem you're having must be greater than the hassle of dealing with the instruction guide. Hyundai wants to make that easier with its Virtual Guide, an augmented reality app for smartphones and tablets that puts answer to the most common points of confusion at your fingertips. Once you open the app you start by choosing your exact vehicle trim. There are 16 different trim and package options for the Sonata, all of them have been scanned so that the app can show your specific car and features. After that there are several options that allow different means of getting the info you need. Point your phone's or tablet's camera at the engine bay, the app will overlay the locations of items like the air cooler, battery, and dispstick. Press any of the boxes in the display and the app will take you step-by-step through the process of attending to each system. There's another AR overlay for the interior. One neat feature that isn't AR is a picture of the gauge cluster and all of its Christmas tree lights. Press any one of them and the app will explain what the light means and what to do when it appears. Another portion of the app is pictures of every angle of the car with highlightable areas that provide more info on things like seat operation and what's in the trunk. Audi has an augemented reality app called eKurzinfo in the UK for three of its models, but it appears that Hyundai is the first mainstream maker in the US to provide such technology. Virtual Guide is available for the Sonata now at the Apple App Store and Google Play. Other models will join the Guide as Hyundai gets more of its models scanned. Genesis teases future large SUV with GV80 concept

Wed, Apr 12 2017

After years of rumors that Genesis would add an SUV to its lineup, Hyundai's in-house luxury brand unveiled the GV80 concept at the New York Auto Show Wednesday. Genesis didn't reveal key details of the concept, such as its dimensions and whether it would fit three rows, but prior intel suggests a Genesis SUV would be a little larger than a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a little more expensive. However, the press release does establish three facts: opulence abounds, the high-rider previews the brand's future design language, and a hydrogen fuel cell powers the GV80 – conceptually, at least. The overall shape – dressed in a "bespoke Ice Granite finish" – seems a touch common, although we must note that numerous players already crowd the large luxury SUV field. To give the GV80 a unique identity, Luc Donckerwolke, head of Genesis design, tapped the arsenal of luxury and detailing he amassed during stints at Lamborghini and Bentley. Genesis' trademark crest grille gets filled with diamond mesh, and sits in a contoured channel that defines a spine running the length of the SUV. The quad headlights are nothing more than four swept-back slits. Along the sides, 23-inch wheels frame a deep vent carved into the bodywork, while the mesh pattern in the five-spoke alloys matches the trussed B- and C-pillars. In back, thin, fiber-optic taillights emphasize width and stylized vents in the lower fascia cool the powertrain. The interior puts on the real show. An analog speedometer jazzes up the digital dash cluster, the driver's display flowing into a curved, 22-inch OLED screen set atop the "bridge" instrument panel. The display's two zones serve driver and passenger separately. The driver can use the glass touchpad multi-function controller and knurled metal wheel to toggle through functions, and the passenger taps the metal pinstripes set into the ash wood console and center tunnel. That tunnel runs the length of the cabin, creating four distinct seating areas. Rear-seat passengers can also touch the metal stripes to control seatback screens. Many cows died to create the interior ambiance, with smooth and quilted-diamond-stitched leather everywhere. Suede, polished aluminum, and slate ash wood provide contrasts from the dash to the cargo area. The GV80's "advanced plug-in hydrogen fuel cell" specs remain a mystery, but it might not be an empty tease. Two years ago, Hyundai showed off the Intrado compact CUV concept at the Geneva Motor Show.

A Lesson In How To Out-Lexus The LS
I think that the new BMW 4 Series is an attractive coupe. The design is a little bit on the wrong side of "fussy" I'll grant you, and I don't particularly care for the look of the scalloped, black-bordered vents on the fender sides - functional though they may be. But for the most part, I find the coupe to be pretty pleasing to look at.
You all, by and large, do not care for the 4 Series. (For the sake of constructing my intellectual argument, I'm going to make the ridiculous statistical assumption that the 140 or so comments on our 4 Series First Drive provide a representative opinion of our readership as a whole.) In the first 24 hours after we published our review of the car, you felt moved to comment that it was "ugly," "REALLY ugly" and "a disappointment" among other, less reprintable statements of ardor.
