However, if you missed the posh event this year, then Jay Leno has you covered yet again. For a nearly hour-long installment of Jay Leno's Garage, the comedian has dumped his denim in favor of a suit to take viewers on an insider tour of the lavish gathering. He interviewed some of the most talented designers in the auto industry, too. Hyundai New Generation i20 WRC previews next year's rally weapon

With just three events left in the 2015 World Rally Championship season, Hyundai Motorsport is sitting in second place in the teams' championship behind Volkswagen Motorsport. The South Korean company is already looking forward to next season, though, when it debuts a new WRC car based on the latest i20. Those attending the Frankfurt Motor Show are getting a preview of the future rally machine in a pristine racing livery ahead of hitting the dirt. Dubbed the New Generation i20 WRC, the car replaces the current i20-based rally car. The competition-spec body sports some big, boxed fenders at the front and rear, and the double-decker wing looks great at the back. Hyundai claims that the latest version also has better aerodynamics, a more efficient powertrain, and improved weight distribution. It's still undergoing rigorous testing and debuts at the Rally Monte Carlo next year. The racer was originally supposed to be based on the latest three-door i20, but a delay caused the five-door body to become the basis for the machine. Beyond the aggressive shape, some of the most obvious visual touches on the New Generation i20 WRC are the massive N logo in the grille and smaller badges on the fenders and wheels. These are supposed to denote the rally car's connection to Hyundai's freshly launched performance sub-brand. The company claims that the lightweight materials, engine tech, tight handling, and aero bits developed for its racers could find their way to the road through these upcoming vehicles. The cheaper 4xe entry is a welcome addition, and the ongoing one-upmanship between Ford and Jeep will continue to serve enthusiasts who want the best of the best. (Tie) Genesis GV80 Coupe Concept Even though it was far from the most important vehicle at the show, the Genesis GV80 Coupe Concept weirdly stole NY for me. IÂ’ve been largely unimpressed or neutral on most SUV coupes, but now thereÂ’s finally one that I love. Genesis design in general has been on fire lately, and the fact that it can turn out a crossover coupe that actually looks good is more evidence of its excellence. The stunning interior with those orange-backed seats and sporty-looking orange accents everywhere probably wonÂ’t make it into production, but IÂ’d love to see Genesis really amp up the performance angle with the coupe version of the GV80. (Tie) 2024 Hyundai Kona The Hyundai Kona has been a favorite mini-crossover of ours for a while, but it has had some foibles. Most notably, it's been almost too small in some areas. That's been fixed and then some with this new one. It also doesn't lose any of the funkiness that made the model so distinct in the first place, while also gaining some fun styling cues from its bigger siblings.
