In April last year I arrived in the USA for a year long kayak fly fishing expedition. I went straight to a dealer and bought it for cash. Now have bought a house in Stuart, Florida that needs remodeled so I am trading / selling for a pick up truck. 


This car is absolutely fantastic, everyday there has not been one single issue. I put on a trailer hitch for my kayak trailer, put all new brakes, and shocks,changed the oil religiously as well as greased it. Also I put the best windshield wipers on it I could find. Not a smear, mark or a sqeak when they are on. Iy will need new tires. It currently has Eagles which are quite well worn.

Fishing for over a year everyday or traveling to my next camping spot around the lower 48 has increased the milage from 81K to 104K. I chose this car especially for several reasons, comfort, milage, manual transmission, large trunk, good all around vision, its quite, no rattles or squeaks, pulls a light trailer beautifully down the road. A/C ice cold, 
good sound from CD Stereo. Manual trans is smooth as silk.

I don't know why your buying a car, but as a daily driver for the price, gas milage and maintenance free usage, this car stands out above any other mid-size out there.

You spend $250.00 with a professional car detailer and you have a beautiful motor car that can't be beat. I have been offered $5300.00 on trade in, and as I paid $7500.00 for it,
I was hoping to get a bit more, but we all know what new car dealers are like. They will send it to auction getting $4800.00 from a used car dealer and they will detail it and put it up for sale
for $6200.00 accepting $6000.00. So if I come with a cash down payment of $5000.00, the dealer will drop the sticker price by $3000.00. It's a big scam but what can we do about it.

I would like it to go to a good home as it has been such a fantastic car to me, just like a good hunting dog that is always ready to go, with it's tail wagging. 
This car is listed locally and will be canceled when I have cash in hand from someone.

China, meet Hyundai's new Mistra sedan

If there was no Hyundai badge, the front end styling of the Korean automaker's new China-only Mistra sedan could have fooled us into thinking it was a refreshed Nissan Altima. Walk around for profile and rear-end views, and we can see more than a bit of Azera in the newest Hyundai, too.
But the Mistra is indeed made for the Chinese market, Carscoops reports, and with a 185.6-inch length, 109.1-inch wheelbase and 71.7-inch width, in size it slots right between the Elantra and Sonata sedans. On the outside, the Mistra maintains Hyundai design cues but loses some of the swoopy styling employed on the Elantra and Sonata for more straight lines and angles.
The Mistra carries its more-restrained-than-Sonata looks to the interior, where occupants will be pleased to find brushed aluminum-look accents on the dashboard, some nice-looking wood trim (if that's your thing) and an easy-to-read instrument cluster with a digital center readout, similar to that in the Genesis sedan.

2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo: February 2013

I just couldn't bring myself to lead this post with the image you see on the right. The winter months have not been kind to our matte gray 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo, and since you can't just run the thing through your local car wash, our oddly shaped little hatchback has spent more days dirty than clean. It breaks my fleet manager heart to see one of our test cars covered in schmutz so frequently, but let's be honest - the last thing anyone wants to do when it's 12 degrees Fahrenheit outside is play with a hose and spend a good amount of time hand-washing a car.
Moral of the story: If you live in a cold-weather state where you expect to get regular doses of the white stuff, matte paint probably isn't for you. Not to worry, though, as the Veloster Turbo is offered in plenty of pretty, car wash-friendly colors.
We'll have a lot more to talk about regarding the Veloster's cleanability in forthcoming updates, and we're even planning a trip to the Dr. Beasley's office - the company that created the special matte paint detailing kit for the Hyundai - to have their experts show us how it's done. For now, let's spend some time talking about what we've learned about the turbocharged hatch during its honeymoon phase here in the Autoblog Garage.
