This offered for sale is a 2002 Hyundai Elantra GLS very, VERY nice vehicle, it runs and drives out perfect. It's a nice vehicle inside and out, everything works perfect as it should. I got a fresh safety inspect and emission so it's ready to go. It shows it has been serviced since it has been new with the oil and filter being changed regular. The body is real nice, not beat up and the paint is silver in real good shape and shiny, the interior is very nice and clean. This vehicle drives out great, you will be very pleased on how well it looks and drives I believe you will be able to drive it with no issues for a long time, there is no issues currently and none to be expected. This car was adult owned, not hurt and serviced regular, I just replaced a new front axle shaft and bearing, front brakes and rotors replaced, new valve cover gasket replaced, oil and filter changed and a new battery plus a 4 wheel alignment. The timing belt and all the other belts plus hoses was changed at the dealer at 121,000 This car is ready for you for many more gas saving miles to come and enjoy with this car you can keep your pay check for something else beside gas, this baby gets 35 miles to a gallon. It runs at normal operating temperature as well as normal oil pressure. The AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION shifts out great in all 4 gears and the converter goes into lock out good that LOWERS the RPM for better gas miles. All of the drive train fluids (engine oil, transmission fluid and engine antifreeze) is clean and shows this car has been serviced regular. I have kept the car in top shape. We got the car from the original owner 2 years ago and they always had the oil and filter changed every 3000 miles at the Hyundai dealer and I have been doing the same at my shop. ------------------------------ THE BODY This is one clean vehicle. Very nice condition no wreck or parking lot damage This car was rust proofed when it was new so it's a rust free car. NO RUST THE PAINT JOB is great . The brakes stop normal. The exhaust is quite, the goes down the road straight when you let go the the steering wheel --------------------------

2nd annual Automobile Advertising of the Year Awards revealed
Tue, Jan 13 2015There was some absolutely fantastic auto advertising in 2014, ranging from funny to inspiring. Marking the best of it from the past year, the Second Annual One Show Automobile Advertising of the Year Awards were announced during the 2015 Detroit Auto Show (full disclosure: Autoblog was among the award's sponsors, and Editor-in-Chief Sharon Carty was a voter). Unlike previously, there were no brands with dominance over the list this time. Presented by The One Club, the awards have an international scope and hand out honors in a variety of categories. In the Broadcast TV group, there were three winners this year. First, there was The Scripted Life from Audi for the Q3 about breaking out of life's monotony. Also, Dad's Sixth Sense from Hyundai marketed the safety features in the Genesis. Finally, Unbreakable Drivers showed manly men being tested for the Toyota Hilux in Australia. The Online Video prize went to the fantastic The Epic Split spot from Volvo Trucks starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. The best Interactive ad was the Honda video titled The Other Side for the Civic Type R, and the Experiential Advertising nod was for the Volkswagen Eyes on the Road clip that showed the dangers of texting and driving to a theater full of moviegoers in Hong Kong. Finally, the Public Choice Award went to the BMW commercial called Hello Future using the words of sci-fi author Arthur C. Clarke for the i8. Recharge Wrap-up: Hyundai and Kia rethinking diesel for US, BMW i partners with Soho House
Wed, Oct 15 2014Hyundai and Kia are once again considering bringing diesel vehicles to the US. "It's something that's a strong consideration for us at this point," says John Juriga of Hyundai/Kia America. Diesel would help the group meet future fuel economy standards. While the obstacles that previously kept the brands from bringing diesel to the US in the past still exist, Juriga says they see a "more direct path" to making diesel work for them. Hyundai and Kia are also considering introducing cylinder deactivation, plug-in hybrids and 9- and 10-speed transmissions to reach fuel economy targets. Read more at Wards Auto. BMW's i division is teaming up with Soho House as its official automotive partner. BMW will provide i3 EVs for the private club's members and guests to use. The two groups will also host events together focused on art, design and innovation, beginning with an art talk called, "The Naked Truth? Nudity, fashion, and the photographic image today." According to BMW's Steven Althaus, the two brands are a great match. "BMW i and Soho House share a common mindset: both brands strive for innovation, creativity as well as a special sense for aesthetic setting new design standards," Althaus says, "What I look forward to most about our partnership is our determination to create memorable and sophisticated experiences together." Read more in the press release below. Foodlogica aims to reduce the environmental impact of food transport in Amsterdam using solar powered electric trikes. The trikes deliver food to local businesses and restaurants, a job usually done by air-polluting diesel trucks. The electric trikes feature cargo boxes that can hold 47 cubic feet or about 660 pounds of food. The trikes are stored in a shipping container fitted with solar panels, which charges them when they're not in use. By delivering food using solar and human power, Foodlogica is helping taking pollution and traffic congestion out of the "last mile" of food transport in Amsterdam. Ten9 is a coalition of organizations that are trying to get transportation to that "tipping point" through technology, policy and good ideas. Marchionne now considering 'Plan B' partners for FCA merger
Thu, Jun 11 2015Okay Sergio, just stop. With the sting of rejection from General Motors CEO Mary Barra still fresh, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne is moving on and trying to find another automaker to merge with. FCA may not be giving up hope on a merger with GM, but that doesn't mean it isn't at least considering alternatives. Sergio's so-called "Plan Bs" include the Volkswagen Group, as well as smaller Asian outfits, like Mazda, Honda, Suzuki, and Hyundai. Bloomberg reports that France's beleaguered PSA Peugeot Citroen could as a sort of "fallback" option due to its relative lack of volume, an unidentified source claimed. There are, of course, problems with each option. According to Bloomberg, Volkswagen expects complete control of a company, but the Agnelli family, which holds a large portion of FCA stock, is loathe to relinquish its stake in the company. On top of that, VAG just isn't looking to make a deal right now. Mazda, meanwhile, is enjoying a new partnership with Toyota and Suzuki is partially owned by VW. Honda and Hyundai have never expressed any interest in a partnership with a western automaker. That kind of just leaves the French then, but even that remains a long shot. As Bloomberg tells it, PSA boss Carlos Tavares is still working on a turn-around plan, and would want at least another six months to execute before even considering a deal with FCA. And even then, Tavares hasn't given any indication that he's considering a pairing.
