2012 Hyundai Veloster Style+tech - Automatic on 2040-cars
Braintree, Massachusetts, United States
I am selling my 2012 Hyundai Veloster with the Style & Technology packages because I no longer need it to commute to work due to a change in location. I am the first and only owner of the car and have all maintenance records. Although the Veloster has ~43k miles, the overwhelming majority of them are highway. I was able to consistently get 35+ MPG with the 6-speed automatic transmission. This carr looks great and I always got stares and questions when stopping for gas. Unlike most Velosters on the road this one is fully loaded and the Orange paint really stands out. The Style & Technology packages add 18" wheels with color inserts, a panoramic sunroof, leather seats, premium 8-speaker sound system w/ subwoofer, navigation, rear parking camera & sensors, push button start, 115-volt outlet and the ability to remote start using a smart phone. The interior is in great shape with only very minor scuffs on the bottom of the drivers side door from getting in and out. The exterior is also in very good shape with two small scratches on the door. Two of the rims have very minor curb rash. I have both sets of keys. The bank (Rockland Federal) currently has the title and if interested we will need to work through them. I will provide all maintenance records to the new owner.

Hyundai opens up European Test Centre at N"urburgring
Fri, 20 Sep 2013Anyone who's anyone among automakers tests at the Nürburgring, and the latest to join them is Hyundai. After fifteen months of construction and a €6.6-million investment - just shy of $9M USD - the Korean automaker has finally completed its new trackside testing center that was initially announced back in January.
Hyundai's new European Test Centre encompasses nearly 40,000 square feet of floor space on four levels in a glass and steel building that houses workshops, offices and hospitality areas. Acting as an extension of the company's European R&D center in Rüsselsheim, Germany, the new Nürburgring test center will allow Hyundai to conduct more regular and rigorous testing around the 73 corners and 13 miles of tarmac that make up the famous racetrack - definitely a good thing for a powerhouse brand that still sometimes fumbles when it comes to the dark arts of suspension and steering tuning.
Hyundai exec admits company studying pickup, no foolin'
Mon, 01 Apr 2013Automotive News reports Hyundai may be considering jumping into the US pickup market. Lee In-cheol, ice president of international sales, says the company's product planners and engineers are currently trying to determine what size pickup would be best for our market. Currently, the automaker has no plans to build a truck, but Lee says that hasn't stopped US dealers from asking the company to produce one. The US and South Korea signed a free trade agreement that took effect in 2012 that removes the so-called Chicken Tax from South Korean imports in seven years.
That means that Hyundai or Kia could import a foreign-built truck without incurring the 25 percent tax on the vehicle's value after 2021. Even so, Hyundai isn't committed into jumping into the US full-size pickup market. Instead, the company may build a smaller truck designed to compete in emerging markets.
We've been hearing word about Hyundai's pickup musings for years now, including a rumored partnership with Chrysler to produce Ram-based trucks, but so far, nothing has come of it.
