I have a 2002 Hyundai Sonata for sale. It has 138000 miles and just had the majority of the air conditioning system replaced: A/C Compressor, Condenser, serpentine belt and Receiver Drier. I work at a repair shop and bought it from a customer who couldn't afford to fix the A/C system after the compressor locked up and tore the drive belt. It had the timing belt replaced at 88,000 miles and has had the transmission flushed at 84,000 miles. Maintenance has been performed on a regular basis. It's in good shape overall, but could use few things... It has a few spots where the paint is fading, and a few small rust spots on the bottom of the passenger side rear door. The driver side rear door lock actuator makes a brief squealing noise when unlocking, but works fine. Could also use tires, but the current tires will pass inspection. This is a solid car, and shouldn't need any major maintenance for a while. Good for someone looking for an affordable car, with no monthly payments. |

Hyundai presents 70 movies in 10 minutes... and it's very strange
Tue, 22 Apr 2014It's not often we can use the term "trippy" to describe anything we post here at Autoblog, but this German video, promoted by Hyundai and starring the brand's European-spec i10 is trippy, surreal and totally bizarre. And we love it.
Movie buffs will appreciate this ridiculous mix of classic movies into a strange mishmash that makes no sense at all. From Silence of the Lambs to the Terminator series to Pulp Fiction, The Godfather and 300, there's the list of films parodied in this spot is wildly diverse. We've watched a few times, and while we can name the vast majority of classic films shown, we have no idea what the actual point of the video is.

Volvo EX30 dropped from 2024 NACTOY contention due to model year cutoff
Tue, Dec 12 2023The North American Car, Truck and Utility of the Year jury announced Tuesday that the Volvo EX30 has been dropped as a finalist for the 2024 Utility of the Year award because it will not be sold to customers in 2023. As it had made it all the way to the final round before Volvo informed the jury that the car would not be available, the EX30 had to be replaced with another contender. The NACTOY board selected the 2024 Hyundai Kona/Kona Electric to fill its slot. In fact, the EX30 was never intended to be delivered in 2023, a Volvo spokesperson confirmed to Autoblog. "The original plan had us scheduled to open order books [in November], but because we are always evaluating our production timelines and volumes, and make adjustments according to a variety of inputs, we changed that to be not before January," he said. The other finalists for all three categories remain unchanged. Notably absent from the list of finalists were the Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray, Toyota GR Corolla, GMC Canyon, Ford Ranger, Chevrolet Blazer EV, Chevrolet Equinox EV, Mazda CX-90 and Toyota Grand Highlander, among others. Hyundai details its five Super Bowl ads, Santa Fe is MVP [w/video]
Thu, 24 Jan 2013If the Super Bowl were Las Vegas, Hyundai would be considered one of its whales. The South Korean automaker will be advertising for the sixth straight year during The Big Game, and this time it's rolling up with five spots, four of them new. The new 2013 Santa Fe gets the star treatment, featuring in three of the spots, but the theme throughout is using "a Hyundai vehicle as the ultimate sidekick and partner-in-fun."

Epic PlayDate - the headliner, uses the Santa Fe for "an unforgettable and epic play date" and features a brand new song from "a legendary alternative rock band."
