Hi I'm the owner and operator of a small taxi limousine company in the South Jersey area. About 8 miles outside of Atlantic City NJ. On occasion when I sell one of my high mileage limousines I get a car in on a trade in and this is what I have.  Up for sale is this 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe ( SUV ) it's the four cylinder ** automatic ** that gets about 25 MPG! I drove this car about 20 miles. To the car wash and back. It runs and drives very good, everything works and was fully functional, the air-conditioner was very cold. The interior is very clean and neat definitely a non-smoker! The exterior was also very good, paint still looks GOOD, all in all this is a very good car for a first-time driver, commuter, student or maybe even a pizza delivery person.  Now after 25 years in the limo business. This is what I found wrong even though the car runs very GOOD! and shifts perfectly. It does has a slight hesitation when you're stop at a street light "definitely need spark plugs" The Two front tires are very good and have about 60% tread life. The two back tires are poor and have about 40% tread life. The brakes and rotors stop fine! "although I would recommend changing them" the pedal feels a little soft towards the floor ( again they stop fine ) the passenger side upper or lower ball joint is making a noise. Only when you hit a bump it sounds more like the shock but it is definitely a ball joint I would recommend doing both sides. The paint looks very good and shiny. There is a few small rust spots. ( nothing you would take to the body shop ) again the car is not new just runs and drives very GOOD!. For a car of this age. I would recommend a mini tuneup! Spark plugs, wires, rotors, maybe a $99 brake job at minus muffler, change all the fluids and the wipers at Jiffy Lube. And you should be good to go please note this is my recommendation others may feel differently after 25 years in the limo business I would feel very confident driving this car locally right now. Local Shopping trips to the mall to and from work commuting 50 to 100 miles a day I feel pretty confident this car has plenty of life in it. I honestly don't feel anyone should hit the buy it now button until you personally call me! Car is being sold **** as is & no warranty at all ****  Car is for local pickup only buyer has 24 hours to pay full in cash face-to-face. Please feel free to call me at 609-453-9775 daily from 9 AM to 9 PM

First 2015 Hyundai Sonata ad surfaces

Thu, 01 May 2014

The new Hyundai Sonata just made its debut at the 2014 New York Auto Show, but it's already begun making its slow march towards dealers, meaning it's about time we start seeing ads for the new family sedan on the TV and internet. This 62-second spot is one of the first.
The ad places a particular focus on styling, and what great design really is. There's also a glimpse at the super-cool gesture control that's baked into the Sonata's infotainment screen. We'll admit, we're pretty geeked to give this feature a full test once we finally drive the all-new sedan.
As for when that will be, with the car set for an arrival at dealers this summer, we're hoping to have a full write-up on the 2015 Sonata soon. Until then, scroll down for the full ad from Hyundai.

Hyundai Motorsport tests its performance at the WRC Rally Finland

Fri, 15 Aug 2014

Autoblog joined Hyundai to check out the Neste Oil Rally Finland, where thousands of kilometers of lightly traveled, rolling gravel roads have turned out decades of astonishing racing and cold-blooded drivers. Even though the World Rally Championship is well tamed from its feral Group B days, Rally Finland is still the drivers' favorite, with the fastest speeds and the biggest jumps.
It's the rookie year for the Hyundai Shell World Rally Team, run by Hyundai Motorsport out of Alzenau, Germany. The squad entered the season aiming for podiums in the second half and looking to get its three cars to the finish at every race for maximum development data. It's already outdone itself, Thierry Neuville scoring third places in Mexico - where he used a bottle of Corona to fill his radiator - and Poland.
Denis Giraudet told us that the rally's sternest challenge is not one of heart, though. Giraudet isn't part of Hyundai Motorsport, he was our guide and he's been in the sport as a co-driver for more than 30 years; he won Rally Finland with Juha Kankunnen in 1993 in a Toyota Celica Turbo 4WD. Giraudet said the race tests that particular confidence that comes from about 18 inches below the heart: "Here, you have to go all out. If there's a problem, it's usually between the steering wheel and the seat."

Recharge Wrap-up: Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell logs moon-worthy mileage, Kolle makes Renault Kangoo ZE pickup

Thu, Feb 26 2015

A French company called Kolle has made a pickup truck version of the Renault Kangoo ZE. The converted version of the electric van retains the same battery and drivetrain, offering a range of 106 miles, plus a bit more utility without the restraints of a roof over the cargo area. The tailgate is separated into two hinged doors, which swing open to the side for loading and unloading. Payload is about 1,433 pounds. The price is about $16,400, which includes incentives, but not the price of the battery. Read more at Inside EVs, and get more details at the Kolle website. Drivers in southern California have put enough cumulative miles on the Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell to reach the moon. The hydrogen-powered crossover recently surpassed a combined 238,900 miles, which is the average distance from Earth to the moon. Mileage and other helpful information is gathered from participating owners periodically. "Surpassing this fundamental stellar threshold gives us a glimpse into the unlimited zero-emissions potential for Hyundai fuel cells," says Hyundai's Mike O'Brien. "If a small fleet of hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicles can accumulate this kind of mileage in just a few short months, one can only imagine the potential for a zero-emissions hydrogen vehicle future." Read more in the press release below. A cross-country trip in a pickup running on chicken fat is scheduled for March 8. Cliff Ricketts, an agribusiness and agriscience professor at Tennessee State University, originally began the trip in November, running on biodiesel made from chicken fat. The 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit pickup's transmission broke near Kansas City, cutting short the trip between Key West, Florida and Seattle, Washington. With the truck repaired, he hopes to make the 3,550-mile trip next month. During his earlier attempt, though, Ricketts logged fuel economy ranging from 36 to more than 45 miles per gallon. HYUNDAI TUCSON FUEL CELL DRIVERS FROM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ACCUMULATE SUFFICIENT MILEAGE TO REACH THE MOON EMISSIONS-FREE Cumulative Zero-emissions Mileage by Fuel Cell Drivers Surpasses 238,900 Miles FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., February 25, 2015 – Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell drivers have surpassed an impressive threshold, recently accumulating more than 238,900 miles on the roads of Southern California, all while emitting only clean water vapor.
