2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0t Coupe 2-door 2.0l...meticulously Maintained on 2040-cars
Staunton, Virginia, United States
I am offering my 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe for sale due to an upcoming job transfer. I will not need a second vehicle since I will not be commuting. I purchased the vehicle Brand New in March, 2011. Since I have put 60,571 HIGHWAY miles as a result of a 100 mile per day commute to and from work. I have performed routine maintenance religiously. I completed oil changes on average every six (6) weeks for the entire life of the vehicle (3,000 mile intervals). The air filter and cabin air filters have been changed several times, including recently. The windshield wipers were replaced a few weeks ago. This Genesis Coupe is outfitted with a set of Goodyear Eagle Sport tires with 4,000 miles on them. The car is due for a Virginia safety inspection this month and WILL be performed prior to delivery of the vehicle to confirm the mechanical soundness to which I have eluded.
Again, I am selling my baby because I simply do not want the added expense of a second vehicle...fuel, insurance, taxes, etc. I am the original owner and I have ALL maintenance receipts. I am a non-smoker and somewhat of a neat freak. The cigarette lighter has NEVER been used. The backseat has NEVER been used either...it's too small (LOL...just kidding)! This has been my daily driver / commuter, thus leading to the 60,571 miles, but these are "good" miles. The engine is operated at high temperatures which is optimal for maintaining a clean fuel system. Not like stop-and-go traffic which is damaging. It also leads to minimal brake wear on the interstate as opposed to city streets. There is a balance of the 10 year / 100,000 mile factory warranty remaining which is fully transferrable. I am including a custom "Heat Shield" windshield sun screen with this sale as pictured. If you are in the market for a well-maintained, clean Genesis Coupe then look no further. ALL SERIOUS, REASONABLE offers will be considered. I am motivated to sell, but not desperate.
Now comes the legal stuff. I, personally, am NOT offering any warranty, expressed or implied, other than the remaining Hyundai FACTORY warranty. The buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping. I also require a deposit at the time of purchase which will either be refunded at the time of delivery or applied to the remaining balance at your discretion. However, the deposit will NOT be refunded if payment in full is NOT made in FULL within 7 days of the close of the auction (sale). Please have your finances arranged prior to buying. I will NOT assist with financing or accept anything less than the agreed upon sale price. Thank you for your understanding.
Now, my name is Stacy A. Zimmerman. I am a real person legitimately selling a real vehicle. PLEASE do not attempt to "play" me. I have sold many cars over the years and have seen every trick in the book, especially, the one where the buyer sends "extra" funds for the so-called shipping expense that is to be sent back to them prior to the sale. Whatever! I went through this with a BMW Z4 I sold several years ago. The FBI cleared up that situation rather quickly. So, PLEASE BE REAL. You can call me with ANY questions or concerns ANYTIME @ (540) 487-1313. My name is Stacy and I will do my very best to help you any way I can. I would like to sell this car before Christmas. My job transfer takes effect December 28th. It would make a nice Christmas gift come to think of it. I will have the state inspection done here in Virginia for your piece of mind. I assure you this car is sound. The photos should attest to this. There are some minor chips and scratches, but nothing significant. There is one deep scratch near the bottom, front that I have documented. White, believe it or not, is cooler and does not show dirt like you would think. Thanks for looking and I hope to hand you both sets of keys soon. I do have all the original paperwork and manuals, including the window sticker. Thanks again and HAPPY HOLIDAYS! STACY Z.

Peter Schreyer designs the future of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis
Fri, Mar 25 2016Peter Schreyer now leads the design teams at Hyundai, Kia, and the new Genesis brand. He has the difficult task of differentiating the three brands aesthetically, even if they share mechanical components. A new profile about the designer by Bloomberg shows just how much he means to the Korean brands, and it's well worth a read. According to Bloomberg, Schreyer has distinctive ideas for the Korean brands' design. A Kia should look sporty and appeal to young buyers. In contrast, a Hyundai would be for someone who prefers a minimalist design. So far, Genesis is blending those traits for its Athletic Elegance design language. Schreyer went to Kia from Volkswagen Group in 2006, and his mission was to revolutionize the Korean's brand's boring look. He succeeded with sharper, more modern designs for vehicles like the Optima and Sorento that arrived after he took over. He did such a good job there that Hyundai-Kia Motor Group appointed him as its first non-Korean president at the end of 2012. He also now oversees former Lamborghini designer Luc Donckerwolke at the Genesis luxury brand. Bloomberg speaks with industry analysts and other designers to get a better idea of Schreyer's meaning to the company. The piece presents him as an easygoing person who knows exactly how each vehicle should look. If you want to get a better Schreyer and his work at Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis, the story is worth checking out. Related Video:
2015 Hyundai Tuscon Fuel Cell will lease for $499/month, comes with free hydrogen
Wed, 20 Nov 2013If nothing else, Hyundai wants to make it as easy as pie for you to check out its upcoming hydrogen-powered 2015 Tucson Fuel Cell vehicle. Given that the Korean automaker will be the first to offer a mass-produced fuel cell vehicle in the US (sorry, Honda, the FCX Clarity just doesn't cut it for this category) and that the hydrogen-powered Tuscon is coming next spring, there's no time like the present to lower hurdles.
Here's how Hyundai is trying to remove your worries. First, if you want to have an extended test drive, you can go rent a fuel cell Tuscon at participating Enterprise locations, starting next spring. Nothing was said about buying one of these SUVs outright, but after putting $2,999 down, you will be able to lease the H2 Tuscon for $499 a month for 36 months, and that includes "unlimited free hydrogen refueling" and a hydrogen version of the "At Your Service Valet Maintenance." Since there are only ten public hydrogen refueling stations in the US, and nine of them are in California, it makes sense that the Tuscon will be available only in the Golden State, specifically at just four dealerships. Hyundai said in a statement that, "Availability of the Tucson Fuel Cell will expand to other regions of the country consistent with the accelerating deployment of hydrogen refueling stations." In other words, don't hold your breath.
Speaking at the unveiling, Hyundai Motor America CEO John Krafcik praised the hydrogen work that Honda and Toyota are doing here at the show and said, "We think fuel cell technology will increase the adoption rate of zero-emission vehicles, and we'll all share the environmental benefits." In the Tuscon, that means an estimated 300-mile range and a refill time of under 10 minutes along with the instant torque of an electric motor. We'll be most interested to see how that plays out in the marketplace. Feel free to read more in the press release below.
S. Korea to raise concerns about EV credits, battery sourcing in U.S. visit
Mon, Aug 29 2022SEOUL — South Korean officials will meet U.S. counterparts this week to express "concerns" about the Inflation Reduction Act, which restricts who can receive U.S. subsidies for the production of electric vehicles and where firms can source battery materials. President Joe Biden signed into law this month a $430 billion bill, seen as the biggest climate package in U.S. history. The law requires that EVs be assembled in North America to qualify for tax credits, ending subsidies for several EV models, and that a percentage of critical minerals used in batteries come from the United States or an American free-trade partner. Automakers like Hyundai Motor face short-term competitive disadvantage to manufacturers of EVs that receive tax credits in the United States, while industry sources said Korean battery makers must make changes to mineral sourcing routes, which could affect cost adversely. South Korean officials are expected to tell counterparts from the U.S. Trade Representative's office and the U.S. Treasury that the new law may violate trade norms such as the U.S.-South Korea free trade agreement and the WTO agreement, the industry ministry said. Korean automakers will consider adjusting production plans to prioritize the construction of U.S. plants for example, the ministry said, while battery makers will seek to diversify where they source minerals from. Under new rules to kick in next year, at least 40% of the monetary value of the critical minerals in batteries will need to come from the United States or an American free-trade partner, with that proportion rising to 80% by 2027. Globally, the treatment of some 58% of lithium, 64% of cobalt and 70% of graphite goes through China, according to ministry data. FALLOUT The new rules are a major complication for battery makers LG Energy Solution (LGES), SK On and Samsung SDI, battery industry sources said. South Korea's LGES supplies Tesla and General Motors, while SK On and Samsung SDI supply Ford Motor and Volkswagen among others. The three battery makers together command more than a quarter of the global EV battery market, according to SNE Research. "It's become a huge headache ... Automaker clients said they didn't expect this new law would take effect this soon," said a South Korean battery industry source.
