I actually respect this car. looks good, runs great, everything works, rides beautifully on the road. but, it is a Hyundai... and I always wondered how good they can be. but, this car proves it; they make a very decent small car and great quality throughout. now, it gets better. this car comes from a great home, one owner, store bought and is ding, dent, damage and rust free. there is a bump or scuff on the bumper(s), but nothing broke, damaged or crack at all. all factory correct, full power, moon roof, FWD, 4 cylinder, auto, keyless entry, Air Bags, rear window defrost, CD and more. this is a GLS model Hyundai elantra with 158k miles. I have had the pleasure to drive this economical and comfortable car for the last month. it runs super and is a pleasure to drive. easy to operate, good on gas, smooth, quiet and safe. to be sure, my mechanic safety checked the car, we installed a new timing belt, battery, oil, fluids and more. I have since put 400 miles on the car and everything works. around town, kids to school, bank, errand, road trips... I go where I want and when I want with no worries. $20 gives me a half full tank and I drive through the week good tires, lights, horn, wipers, heat, glass, radio, brakes, battery, steering, dash and gauges. clean enough interior in average to above shape. no issues and no warning lights. clean title, good service history, correct miles. hey ... buy this car for a song and drive in decent style and save money, save time, save gas.~!~ I have bought and sold over 100 cars on eBay, and I am happy to continue. most of these cars for sale are new car dealer trades and or on consignment. as such, I am trying to avoid and keep down the number of re-lists, or not completed sales by high bidders. please do not bid or buy if you are short on cash, have many un-asked question or can't make arrangements with me regarding payment and pick up. I'm Autoblog senior editor Greg Migliore and this is your Autoblog Minute weekly recap. 2011 was the last time we saw Ford's midsize pickup in the US but according to a report from the Detroit News we could see production of the Ranger at the [00:00:30] Dearborn automaker's Michigan Assembly Plant as early as 2018. Ranger could compete with the Chevy Colorado and perhaps revive the compact and midsize pickup market for Ford, but the future of Ranger in the US depends a lot on Ford's ongoing negotiations with the UAW. About 2,000 orders for the 2015 Mustang were placed in the UK, tying up production of the pony car until July 2016. According to details in a press release from Ford UK, [00:01:00] it looks like Brits are a lot like their American cousins, opting for the 5.0 liter V8, with Race Red as the popular color of choice. Photos of the 2016 Toyota Prius leaked generating a lot of buzz over the styling. This fourth generation Prius will have some new competition as spy shots of a new Hyundai also surfaced this week. The car is said to be a hybrid and a bonafide "Prius fighter." Those are the highlights from the week that was. Hyundai Veloster facelift includes new 7-speed DCT, light cosmetics
Mon, Jan 19 2015Hyundai hasn't given the Veloster the exterior overhaul that we expected, but it has outfitted the quirky, oddly doored hatchback with some new tech, at least in the Korean market. The biggest change for the Veloster is confirmation that the previously rumored seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox will replace the current six-speed unit in the Turbo. It's mated to the same 1.6-liter, forced-induction four-cylinder featuring 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. The exterior receives a few tiny tweaks, too, with new wheel designs and slightly different silver trim around the grille, but the bigger changes are found in the cabin. Those alterations aren't limited to new materials: Hyundai has included a new engine sound equalizer for the Veloster that lets drivers select from six different engine soundtracks. The instrument cluster also gets slightly altered, and there are new two-tone looks for the seats, as well. According to a blog post by Hyundai, the price for the Turbo with the seven-speed dual clutch starts at 23.7 million won ($22,000). Unfortunately, there's no official word whether these changes are going to make it across the Pacific to the US market. Hyundai, Kia announce buyback plan for angry Korean investors
Wed, 12 Nov 2014Hyundai's controversial decision last September to move its Korean headquarters to an expansive (and expensive) new facility was met with a swift backlash by shareholders. After making the biggest land purchase in South Korean history, the company's share price took a nine-point nose dive.
Now, in a bid to get back in the good graces of its stockholders, Hyundai and its subsidiary, Kia, will make a $615-million stock buyback plan. Reuters claims this is the first time in ten years that Hyundai has made a buyback offer with the explicit purpose of pumping up share prices.
The total deal bumped up Hyundai's share prices 5.7 percent while Kia is up two percent, although neither company has fully recovered from the battering that followed the headquarters announcement. It's unclear what else it will take for Hyundai to recover the ground it lost during the land deal.
