You are looking at a 2001 Hyundani elantra gls in good shape. The car has 124,500 mi on it and it runs great. I just had the timing belt and water pump replaced @ 124,000 mi so it is good for another 100,000 miles. I also replaced the battery in Jan along with the front half of the exhaust with a stainless braided flex pipe with a new 02 sensor due to it was starting to break due to rust. The car has had a lot of new parts added in the last 3 years to include the alternator, engine belts, axle shafts, coolant hoses, tires, front and rear breaks, rear wheel cyclinders, front brake rotors, speed sensor,and fuel filter. I also have had the car well matined and had fluids changed and filters changed at every guidline. The transmission was flushed last fall along with the coolant system. I am the third owner of this car, I bought it from my brother in 2009, he bought it from Chester town chrysler jeep in 2005 and was told it was an one owner local trade. The car also has had a poineer cd player with remote and ipod connector added to replace the factory tape deck back in 2005. We are selling the car due to we just bought a new one to relace it. The car does have some blemishes on the paint and wear spots. The back bumper has three spots where the paint is wearing off and the door handle trims are also wearing. Overall this is a good car that has not let me down and was used to commute a hour one way to work 5 days a week. This will make some one a good car so bid with confidence. Thanks for looking.

Hyundai bringing 1,000-hp Genesis Coupe to SEMA
Mon, 23 Sep 2013Hyundai has just unleashed its first volley at the SEMA crowd in the form of the Genesis Coupe you see above, and it's a duesy. By partnering with the powertrain gurus from Bisimoto, Hyundai has managed to cram a thousand horsepower into this highly accessorized black and blue machine, using a mill based on the naturally aspirated Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec engine block.
The big powers are a pair of Bisimoto/Turbonetics BTX6462 turbochargers, which are joined by a full set of aftermarket internals that include new connecting rods, camshafts, forged pistons, fuel pump and fuel injectors, and a massive intercooler. With all that power, the chassis was going to need some updates, such as a complete roll cage and a custom coilover suspension setup.
As is expected from a SEMA show car, there is a bespoke graphics and bodywork package, highlighted by a carbon fiber hood and decklid. Check out the two images provided by Hyundai and the press release below for all the details.
Hyundai, Porsche top J.D. Power APEAL study
Wed, 23 Jul 2014Just as they did in the Initial Quality Study, Porsche and Hyundai have taken the premium and non-premium crown, respectively, for the 2014 J.D. Power APEAL study. This is the tenth consecutive year for that Porsche has been rated the best premium make in the APEAL study, which attempts to figure out how pleased owners are with their purchases. For 2014, it asked 86,000 owners of MY2014 cars to rate their vehicles in 77 different categories 90 days after their initial purchase. The resulting figures were plugged in deliver the APEAL score, which is rated on a 1,000-point scale.
The industry average sits at 794 points for 2014, although that's a one-percent decline over last year's rating. In this year's study, premium brands averaged 840 out of 1,000, while non-premium makes average 785. For their part, Porsche netted an impressive 882 points, while Hyundai earned an 804. Interestingly, only four non-premium brands (Hyundai, Ram, Volkswagen and Mini) finished above the industry average for 2014.
It's also interesting to see the clear delineation between premium and non-premium brands, with an eight-point gap between the non-premium champ, Hyundai, and the lowest-rated premium brand, Volvo.
Hyundai dumps Genesis Coupe for upscale model
Wed, Aug 3 2016Hyundai has confirmed that it is killing off the Genesis Coupe after the 2016 model year. A replacement for the coupe is expected to come after 2017, but it will fit into the automaker's luxury sub-brand, Genesis. "In regards to the Genesis Coupe, 2016 will in fact be the last model year for this popular, rear-drive sporty coupe," Christine Henley, Product PR Manager for Hyundai, told Autoblog. The vehicle is being replaced by something that fits better into the new Genesis brand's lineup. "A new, more sophisticated and luxurious coupe appropriate for the new Genesis brand is currently under development." Previous rumors surmised that the coupe will get a 3.3-liter turbocharged engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel-drive. Inspiration for the upcoming coupe could come from the Hyundai HND-9 Sports Coupe Concept that was revealed a few years ago. Currently, Genesis offers the 2017 G80 midsize sedan and flagship G90 sedan. A luxurious, sporty coupe would fit perfectly in between these two vehicles to compete with more established luxury coupe players, as well as newer competitors like the Lexus RC and upcoming Infiniti Q60.
