Up for sale is this Super clean 2012 Hyundai Accent GS Hatchback. This Accent has only 13,000 original miles on it. This car looks absolutely great inside and out! It looks as if it has been gently used. The exterior is Electric Blue and the interior is Satin Black with Grey Accents. Unfortunately, this car was involved in a fresh water flood and its being sold with a salvage title. I am not sure why the insurance company decided to brand this car a flood car because I can see no major sign of flood damage anywhere on this vehicle. The Hyundai is in perfect mechanical condition and everything works the way it should, and I mean everything! Every single light bulb lights up and every switch functions properly. There are no warning lights on the dash of any type. I do not believe any significant amount of water entered this vehicle at all. The carpets and mats are all dry and there is no smell or anything like that. This car might have just been branded a flood because of liablilty reasons. There is no way any real water damage occured to this vehicle in my opinion. The underneath of the car looks like it just rolled of the showroom. The undercarriage shines like brand new. I have been driving this vehicle on and off and its a really nice driving vehicle. All the maintanence on the car was done and its ready for its new owner. Nothing has to be done to this car! The tires are in great shape and have about 70% tread remaining. They are all matching Hankook tires. This is a very well taken cared of car and it will last someone forever. This Accent runs and drives like a new Hyundai would. You literally jump in this car and drive it 2,000 miles back home without any problems. This is also a ONE OWNER vehicle with no accident history in the autocheck report, but I guess thats to be expected from a car that is only one year old.
This Hyundai is loaded up with all the options. It has XM radio, IPOD and MP3 auxiliary outlets, ECO fuel economy button, traction control, remote keyless entry, power windows, power locks, cruise control, power mirrors, In-dash CD player, ICE cold AC, Tire pressure monitoring sensors, and a very economical 4 cylinder engine. This engine gets over 40MPG's with no problem. If you put the ECO button on the car will burn hardly any gas, its fantastic!
The car comes with two original Hyundai keys and two remote key fobs as well. We also have the floor mats, all the owners manuals and booklets that were with the car when it was purchased new, the rear cargo all weather liner, and the tool storage bin with the air compressor. This vehicle is ready for the winter, just jump in and drive.
The exterior of the car shows extremely well. The car is virtually flawless with no major blemishes to speak of. The paint looks to be in nice and it shines like glass. You can see your face in the paint. There is nothing to pick on with this car. This is a ONE OWNER car with no accident history in the autocheck report. The car looks the way a ONE year old vehicle should.
The interior of the car is like brand new. The seats are is fantstic condition and show no any wear at all. The carpets and other panels are all in great shape and all the mechanicals and electricals are 100%. This car looks and drives like a 13,000 mile Hyundai should.
This car is being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties expressed or implied. This vehicle has a title that is branded with flood status. If you would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome to do so. Also, feel free to ask me about the buy-it-now price. If you are located outside my local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped to you at your cost. A $500 non-refundable deposit must be made within 24 hours on the auctions end. The remaining balance must be paid in full by 3 days after the closing of the auction unless other arrangements are discussed with me in advance. With that being said, feel free to email, call, or text me at anytime if you have any questions or concerns. My name is Matt and my number is 646-243-9866. Thanks and good luck bidding!

Hyundai spotted testing Prius-style hybrid

Tue, Jan 20 2015

The Toyota Prius has become an automotive icon – maybe less so among actual automotive enthusiasts than with the public at large – to the extent that most anyone on the street would recognize its five-door hatchback form and immediately identify it as a hybrid. Little wonder that Honda tried to emulate it with the second-gen Insight, but while that didn't work out so well for Honda, it looks like Hyundai is preparing to go down the same road with a dedicated hybrid of its own. Our paparazzi on the ground in the Arctic Circle have spotted this protoytpe and tell us what we're looking at is a new Prius-fighter from the Korean automaker. Snapped up high on a transporter truck, you can see the orange high-voltage cables underneath and a label with the letters AE HEV – the latter standing, of course, for Hybrid Electric Vehicle. We wouldn't be surprised if the AE stood for Advanced Experimental or Alternative Energy or something of the sort. Tipped to be based on the same platform as the next-generation Elantra, the new Hyundai hybrid is said to pack a 1.6-liter inline-four working in parallel with an electric motor juiced by a lithium-ion battery pack. It's expected to begin production in the second half of 2016, with a plug-in and possibly other variants to follow a year to a year and a half after its initial launch.

2018 Hyundai Accent vs subcompact sedans: How it compares on paper

Fri, Sep 29 2017

Hyundai first revealed the new 2018 Hyundai Accent a few months ago, but that debut was in Canada for the Canadian-market car. We didn't get our look at the U.S. version until just recently, which is when we also finally got plenty of specifications on the little car. So as we did with the Genesis G70, we've brought you a breakdown of the Accent's specs and some of the segment's best and most popular: the Nissan Versa, Kia Rio, Chevrolet Sonic and Toyota Yaris iA. Before we get to the chart, let's give you a quick reintroduction to the 2018 Accent. The subcompact is completely new this year, and under the hood is again a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. It makes 7 fewer horsepower and 4 fewer pound-feet of torque than the outgoing model with totals of 130 horsepower and 119 pound-feet. This drop in power probably won't be noticeable, though. It's also available with either a manual or automatic transmission, both featuring six speeds. Fuel economy hasn't been announced, but the Rio's numbers below are probably a good indicator as they share powertrains. The one thing that isn't available with an Accent is a hatchback. According to Autoweek, the hatchback was canned with the assumption that hatch buyers would simply purchase an example of the upcoming Kona crossover. But if you want a traditional subcompact hatch from South Korea, Kia is happy to oblige, as the Rio is still available as a hatchback. Learning that the Kona may have killed the Accent hatch causes us to wonder if Kia brought the Rio hatch to the U.S. because it wasn't planning on offering the Stonic. Hyundai shows us two more Super Bowl commercials

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

Hyundai is gearing up to show five commercials during this year's Super Bowl, and you've probably already seen one of them called Don't Tell that's been airing on television for weeks now. The Korean automaker has released two of the other four ads, though it looks like it might keep the headlining ad for the three-row Santa Fe, called Epic PlayDate, under wraps until the big game.
Of the two ads published on YouTube, we like Stuck the most, which features the Sonata Turbo. It presents all of the horrid things you could be stuck behind on the highway as reason enough for buying a boosted Sonata with its ample passing power.
The other commercial, called Excited, features the 2013 Hyundai Genesis. Our funny bone didn't tingle much with this one, and it contains a grammar bugaboo that's a pet peeve of some editors in the Autoblog virtual offices. Can you spot it? Scroll below to take the challenge and let us know in the comments.
