2002 Hyundai Accent Hatchback 1.5l Manual on 2040-cars
Connellsville, Pennsylvania, United States
2002 hyundai accent 1.5l gas sipper My loss is your gain! This car is top notch handles great, rides like new, and runs like a top! It has the fuel sipping 1.5L SOHC four cylinder engine and 5 speed manual transmission. It has Power Steering and Power Brakes, factory A/C DELETE! It just turned 95k miles on the clock, but the mileage has a discrepancy, it shows the true mileage is 138k. It has had some bondo work done to the rear quarter panels before I bought it, as you can see in the photo, although, It is very much solid underneath, I had it grease rustproofed for the snowbelt. Please note that it has a dent in the passenger door area, a scratch on the front bumper cover, a small bubble of rust on the leading edge of the hood from a stone chip. The drivers seat bottom fabric is worn, there is a chip in the windshield glass, and the steering wheel has some sun fading. The transmission shifts great All the lights work exceptionally well, the electrics work, wipers work, and it runs fantastic. It has always been super reliable and has no check engine light or other issues. It has a clear pennsylvania title in my name. I sure will miss this car, in the past year it has had the following parts replaced. I worked at the auto parts store and got all the best quality replacement parts for it. * 4 - KYB STRUTS and BEARING PLATES * LOWER CONTROL ARMS * BALL JOINTS * NEW ROTORS, PADS, DRUMS, SHOES, PARKING BRAKE CABLES, HARDWARE AND SPRING KIT * WATER PUMP AND COOLANT FLUSH * TIMING BELT AND TENSIONER * VALVE COVER GASKET * EXHAUST FLEX PIPE * SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES * BATTERY * 4 FIRESTONE FUSION 14" TIRES ON UNIVERSAL MAG WHEELS (includes special socket) * FULLSIZE SPARE TIRE * TINTED WINDOWS AND VENT VISORS * WOOD SHIFTER KNOB * PIONEER BLUETOOTH CD PLAYER WITH 4 INFINITY SPEAKERS, AND SEPARATE SUBWOOFER WITH AMPLIFIER * GLASSPACK MUFFLER (ORIGINAL INCLUDED) * SUPER BRIGHT HEADLIGHTS All in all this is a fantastic little hatchback that has been adult owned and driven, garage kept, and maintained properly. It regularly delivers me 40 mpg on the highway commute. It is ready for many more miles without anything other than an occasional oil change and routine maintenance. If it weren't for my expanding family, I would keep this little bugger indefinitely as I had planned to when I bought it nearly two years ago. In the past year it has been driven less than 2k miles. It needs absolutely nothing and is ready to drive home and enjoy today. You can fly into the Latrobe or Connellsville airport, and drive the car home. PS word of advice in Pennsylvania, You WILL NEED PROOF OF INSURANCE FOR THIS VEHICLES SPECIFIC VIN # IF YOU INTEND TO PLATE AND DRIVE THIS VEHICLE HOME WITHIN THE 9-16 WEEKS IT TAKES FOR YOU TO RECEIVE YOUR NEW TITLE IN THE MAIL. Any questions, PLEASE ASK! Thank you!!

Volvo leads and Mini fails in JD Power's Tech Experience Index
Wed, Aug 19 2020New cars are basically rolling computers. Everything from the engine to the infotainment runs on a series of ones and zeros, and a lot of that technology requires input from the driver. So it's no surprise that JD Power has a study designed specifically to discern which bits of tech drivers love and which bits they loathe. "New technology continues to be a primary factor in the vehicle purchase decision," says JD Power's Kristin Kolodge, executive director of driver interaction & human machine interface research. "However, it’s critical for automakers to offer features that owners find intuitive and reliable. The user experience plays a major role in whether an owner will use the technology on a regular basis or abandon it and feel like they wasted their money." The J.D. Power 2020 U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study found that Volvo owners are happiest with the technology packed inside their vehicles, followed by BMW and Cadillac, all brands that JD Power classifies as premium. The highest-rated mainstream brand is Hyundai, followed by Subaru and Kia. As was the case with the organization's Initial Quality and APEAL studies, Tesla's numbers aren't officially included because they are the only automaker that has not granted JD Power approval to contact its owners in states that require it. Tesla's projected score of 593 would have put it in second place, right behind Volvo's score of 617. The lowest-ranked brand in the TXI Study is Mini, with Porsche right behind. Diving a little bit deeper, JD Power's findings suggest that the technologies new car buyers care most about are related to helping them see their surroundings better. Camera systems, including rear-view mirror cameras and ground-view cameras, scored highest in five of the six satisfaction attributes measured in the study. The technology that owners could really do without? Gesture controls. Owners who answered JD Power's survey say they don't use gesture controls much at all after initially trying them, and they don't really care if their next vehicle has them. We have to wonder if those responses might be what kept BMW out of the top spot. The TXI Study also found that owners are split on automated driving helpers, like lane-keeping assist and automatic emergency braking. JD Power suggests that owners may need more training on those systems before they learn to trust them. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid starts at $26,825
Wed, Jul 1 2015The pieces are coming together for exactly what's on offer in the 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrids. We were able to drive the regular gas-electric and plug-in hybrid versions and were impressed with the feel behind the wheel, but before you know the price, it's tough to tell if the car makes any real sense. While the price for the PHEV is still shrouded in mystery, we at least now know how much it'll cost for the non-plug Sonata hybrid: $26,825, including $825 for destination. That's the same as the 2015 hybrid model. For comparison, the 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid starts at $25,675 and the 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid comes in at $30,125. That's the base cost, which gets you the cloth interior and projector headlights. The 2016 Sonata Hybrid Limited starts at $30,100 ($900 more than before), which ups the 16-inch alloy wheels to 17-inch alloys and magically turns the interior to leather and the headlights to HID Xenon. If you want 60/40 split-folding rear seats, you'll need to opt for the Limited version. You can also tack on the Limited Ultimate Package for $4,500. The Limited Ultimate Package further improves the car's safety (with lane departure warning and forward collision warning) and sound (with the Infinity premium audio system). The LUP also adds a panoramic sunroof and an eight-inch nav system. Overall, there are seven exterior colors and five interior options. The PHEV price has not yet been announced, but whatever it is, Hyundai has said it expects the car to qualify for a $4,919 tax credit from the federal government.
